Ikatlong Persona

Alone, Frost can defend the Snowlake City. He will defend the insignia as well as the medallion. The whole city's covered up with thick ice. The ground's covered with snow as it's raining snow in the city. There are snowflakes coming from the sky. He opened his palm and caught one. He was standing cold with the air kinds bodies on the floor. He defeated the five of them within a few minutes.

He brushed his hair up as he walked near them, all unconscious. He then approached Aerus' sister, Saren. He knows she holds the medallion herself. If Aerus choose to defend the Sky City, then his sister holds the medallion, he's sure of that.

Hindi naman siya nagkamali. He found the medallion in her pocket. Ito ang unang medalyon na napasakamay niya. Now he just need the representatives of other continent to come for him. He will be able to defeat them if there would be no dirty tricks to be played for him.

He needs to win. They need to win.

Truth is, he doesn't care about their victory years ago. It's just for honor and valor. However, this time it's different. There was a matter of life and death proposal. A bet he can never let her win for he cannot afford to lose her.

Frost closed his eyes as he reminisced the time when Flare confessed she liked him. He felt so much joy, like he won in a bloodshed war. His heart flattered, his eyes reflected emotions he supposed to hide. He was happy and if it was a dream he never wish to wake up like a fantasy. However, the bitter reality striked him like a lightning bolt.

They can never be together, but apart.

He opened his eyes. Tumingala ito sa matayog na impastraktura ng palasyo yung saan sa dulo ng kastilyo nito nakasabit ang insignia. Hinakbang nito ang mga paa papunta sa sentro ng palasyo. There was a frozen fountain at the center. He stood there, watching his own reflection on the glassy ice.

His lips twitched a little to form a sad smile. He never showed his feelings, even learned to hide the slightest emotion he could express in his eyes. But this time, he let his eyes express the sadness he felt.

Because we all try to hide our feelings, but we forget our eyes can speak.

Frost stood there, looking at himself. Looking at how he changed himself for the woman he truly love, was it all gonna be worth it?

Sa kabilang banda, matapos mapanood kung paano mawalan ng laban ang mga representatibo ng Air Continent sa nag-iisang prinsipe ng Water Tribe ay namangha ang mga ito.

From the platform, away from the ordinary people watching in the stadium, the royalties are sitting on their thrones. The kings and queens, also the little princes are there. Sa gitna ng stadium ay naroon makikita kung ano ang nangyayari sa iba't ibang sulok ng kontinente.

King Blizzard of Water Continent was so proud of his son after he witnessed the clairvoyant. Even Frost's little brother was so amazed. He wants to be strong and powerful just like his big brother.

King Farus, of Fire Continent and King Luther of Gravil Continent was alarmed on the other hand. The clairvoyant located in Blaze City suddenly went glitchy, and seconds later it vanished. Worried, they called the Head Mistress' attention.

"I'm worried of my son, Vexus. It seems like those turrets have fear projection images to whoever tries to attack it. Fix the problem right away, Eva." The king commanded using his calm voice. As calm as he may sound like but the truth is he wasn't.

"Yes, your majesty." With that, the Head Mistress nods her head and left as she tried to figure out what went wrong to her incantations, or maybe what's the cause and who caused it.

King Farus on the other side, was also worried about his son and daughter's safety. The disappearance of the clairvoyant only means the Head Mistress failed or someone else was behind it. He was afraid, because for some reasons he fear someone was behind it.

Someone they feared the most.

For there are no such thing as coincidence in this world. Everything happens for a reason. He was a king and he was born to rule, to be wise and careful, to always choose what's best for his people and for the Empire.

"Don't worry, my queen. Vexus will be fine." King Luther assured his queen. Napansin kasi nitong sa kabila ng kalmadong mukha na meron ito'y kinakabahan ito. He knows her better than anyone else.

"I'm sure Feleri and Flame would be fine. Let's not worry about anything okay?" Queen Frinn said as she smiled sweetly and held her king's left hand.

"That's Libra and Capricorn." aniya ng batang prinsipe mula sa hilaga. Freed, Flame and Feleri's younger brother.

"Right! And that's Scorpio and Cancer!" Yves pointed at the constellations he can see in the sky. The little princes seems to enjoy the constellations they can see in the sky.

"Aries, the sky..." Aries look at his queen. Yes, the sky was filled with stars, the constellations were there. There are strange occurances happening in the festival and they can't help but to worry.

What's it gonna be?

The royalties were busy to themselves when the crowd suddenly went silent. Napatingin ang mga ito sa mga taong may halo-halong ekspresyon ang mukha. You can see amusement in their eyes. May iilang nakanganga, napapapalakpak, nanlaki ang mata't ang iba pa'y napapatakip na lng ng bibig sa gulat.

Naibaling ng mga hari at reyna ang tingin sa clairvoyant kung saan naroon nakikita kung ano ang nangyayari sa Sky City. The entrance of the city was a mess. Puno ito ng mga usok sa paligid, mga sanga at mga dahon ng puno na nagkalat. May iba pang natanggal sa lupa na punong kahoy. But it's not the smokey and messy surroundings that left them studded and shocked.

It was the lost son of the minister, Caiz Perfecto on the air with a dragon like wings.

Queen Frinn stood up, a memory strucked her frightened. She remembered. The scene she saw made her remember the past she wants to forget. Isang pangyayari kung saan sinalag ng kapatid niya sa ere ang sumpang nararapat sa lalaking iyon. She remembered how her sister Faxara saved that man and fell in the cliff. She remembered it was that man they shouldn't name caught her lifeless body using his dragon like wings.

She stared back at the clairvoyant. Naiatras nito ang kaliwang paa dahilan upang muntik na itong matapilok kung hindi lamang nahawakan ng minamahal nitong hari ang kaniyang baywang upang masalo.

Those eyes, those were the same livid expression she saw.

"F-Farus..." Pagtingin ng reyna sa hari ay saka niya lang napansin na kagaya niya ay napatayo rin sa gulat ang tatlo pang hari. Of course, it's not just her who witnessed it but also the other kings of the entire Elysian Empire.

"T-This cannot be..." Hindi ito maaring mangyari. Iyon ang nakatatak sa kanilang isipan. Ang mala-dragon na pakpak na iyon ay minsan na nilang nakita, at iyon ay pag-aari ng lalaking pinakamalakas sa kanilang lahat. Ang lalaking ibinaon na nila sa limot at ni pangalan ay ayaw nilang banggitin.

Muling umusbong ang takot sa kaibuturan ng mga ito.

"Isn't he the long lost son of the M-minister?" utal na wika ni haring Luther.

Or maybe he isn't...

"Caiz Perfecto." King Blizzard murmured. As his name rolled on the ruler's tongue, he called his trusted knight to do a background check on him right this instant.

He was astounded as well, but due to the cold expression on his face, it wasn't visible. Those pair of dragon like wings, the last time they saw it they thought they'll be good as dead. Iyon ang dahilang kung bakit nagulantang ang mga ito nang muling makita ang pares ng pakpak na iyon matapos ng ilang dekada.

Queen Frinn couldn't help but to bit her lower lip. The young man with a pair of dragon wings was carrying Flare. That young man was carrying her daughter.

Her daughter, huh. Well, that's what she wants to believe. That she was her daughter. That she was her own blood and she was her real mother. Why does she want to make that lie as the truth?

Because of the sin she commited and regretted.

Nagsimulang magbulong-bulungan ang mga tao na nanonood, ang mga estudyante ay hindi maiwasang mapahiyaw sa excitement na nararamdaman. Mayroong iilan sa kanila na kinikilig sa nakikita, mayroon namang naiinggit pagkat napakusewerteng mapaligiran ng matitipunong binata ang prinsesang dati nilang inakala na isang mababang uri lamang.

Out of nowhere, Caiz faced the clairvoyant. It's like he's directly staring at the royalties who are still in shock. With a loop sided smile on his face, he narrowed his eyes and gave them a cold stare.

He is the hero, the victim, and the villain.

His lips were sealed. He was not saying anything but they can hear his voice inside their heads. Ang bawat salitang binibitawan nito ay tila ba isang sirang plakang pabalik-balik sa utak ng mga ito. They know exactly who he's talking about.

When his halo broke, he carved the two halves into horns.

Caiz' perfect set of teeth showed when he lift his head to smirk at them. He was taunting them. He knows after this, they will pay attention to him. But they can't touch him, he's sure of that. Now looking at them, their frightened facial expressions gave him so much amusement.

This will be the start of their sleepless nights. He's sure each one of them would start being paranoid. Scared of what the future may come when the uncovered truth shall be known. Ang isipin kung paano mataranta ang mga ito't maghanda at magplano sa maaaring mangyayari ay sadyang ikinakapantastikuhan niya.

Play with the devil and you'll end up in hell.

With those last words the royalties heard in their minds, the clairvoyant located in the Sky City disappeared. Ang natitirang pasensya ng pagiging kalma ng mga hari ay parang pisi na naputol.

He who shouldn't be named gave them a warning...

A warning they shouldn't take easily. They need to prepare themselves. If it's a another war that he wants, it's probably a war that he gets. He wants revenge and they are fully aware of that.

What they did was beyond forgiving.

"We need to stop the Continental Festival!" Aries, the Air Continent's king exclaimed.

Nagtaka ang tatlong reyna. Walang alam ang mga ito sa kung ano ang nangyayari. Iyon sa kadahilanang tanging ang reyna lamang ng hilagang kontinente ang nakasaksi at nakakaalam. Walang alam ang mga ito sa lalaking ayaw nilang pangalanan, walang alam ang nga ito sa pangyayaring iyon.

"The people shouldn't know about this, Aries. We can't afford to let them know." Blizzard, the Water Continent's king commented.

Before the three queens could even ask what's going on, Queen Frinn took their attentions and guide them inside the meeting halls of the institute to talk to them. Nababasa ng reyna ang mukha ng mga hari't alam niyang nais ng mga ito na ipaalam sa tatlo pang reyna kung ano nga ba ang nangyayari at ang sitwasyong kinasasangkutan nila.

"But my son is there, Farus! I can't afford to lose my son, the heir of my throne!" Yes, the Air King lost his temper.

"Calm down, Aries. People are starting to notice your behavior." Napatingin ang hari sa ilang estudyante na siyang nagtataka sa ikinikilos ng hari. He's worried yes, he loves his son. He cannot lose him, neither anyone from his family.

"The clairvoyant in Blaze City disappeared as well. There's no coincidence, Blizzard. My son and daughter is there!" Farus, the Fire King retorted.

"My son..." Luther can't help but to worry upon his only son's safety. Vexus was in Blaze City, he was his only hope and only child. Losing him is like losing his honor.

How ironic it can be. The kings are afraid to lose the lives of their children, the lives of their loved ones. But never did they felt afraid to try and kill an innocent new born baby. Never did they felt afraid for trying to kill somebody else's father.

"Try to relax. We are wise kings, not some brainless mundane." aniya ni haring Blizzard. He trying to be calm and confident to influence them.

"If it's his warning, let it be. He's a king as well. I believe he won't go as far as hurting our sons and daughters." he added.

"We don't know him. We don't know how his mind works, Blizzard! Knowing he plans revenge, it'll be the end of us!" apila ni haring Luther.

"I know you are worried about your son, but try to calm down. Nothing gets resolved when you're on panic and not in the right state of mind to think." mahabang lintaya ng haring Blizzard.

The kings tried to calm down. He's right, nothing gets done when you're not in a right state of mind to think. Everything will be fine. They will plan this out, prepare and succeed. They're not kings for nothing after all.

They once defeated him, history would just have to repeat itself.

On the other side, Caiz turned his gaze to Aerus. After taunting the royalties, he felt contented. Serves them right. He didn't know making them remember their deepest dirty secret could be this satisfying. He'd love to see those reactions once again.

"Who are you?" Umangat ang sulok ng labi ng binata upang ngumisi sa naging katanungan ni Aerus.

"I'm still Caiz Perfecto..." he trailed off. Bumuka muli ang bibig nito upang dugtungan ang kaniyang sinabi, "...your highness." He tilted his head upon seeing the prince's reaction.

Aerus looks so confused yet facinated for some reasons. Caiz bit the inside of his left cheek as he carefully observed their reactions. It's fun to see these people acting dumb. Ah, never in his life had he ever felt this kind of entertainment.

Napatingin ito sa babaeng buhat-buhat niya sa kaniyang bisig. Muli ay nagtagis ang kaniyang bagang nang maalala niya kung ano ang dahilan kung bakit hindi niya na napigilan pa ang sarili niya.

His princess fell unconscious. As a knight, he's a failure.

His dragon wings flapped. Umangat lalo ang distansya nito sa lupa. Ngayon ay nakadungaw siya sa mga ito't sila'y nakatingala naman sa kaniya na para bang isa siyang kataas-taasang nilalang na nararapat tingalain. He laughed mentally.

An easy way to mock royalties like them.

Caiz can be gentle and sweet as shit but he can be rude and savage as fuck. He's like a grenade with Flare as his safety pin. Once his safety pin got removed, he'll detonate.

Napatingin naman si Caiz sa pinakamataas na lugar dito sa Sky City kung saan naroon ang insignia ng mga ito. With him having wings, it'll be easy to snatch it and win the festival. Even if these air kinds could levitate themselves in the air as well, they can't defeat him in an air space battle if ever.

The insignia was on top of the huge statue. The statue of their tribal animal. It'll be easy to get it, but he needs to be careful because he holds his princess, his queen.

"Don't let him get the insignia!" As soon as Aerus commanded them they used air pressure to lift themselves up and tried to reach up to Caiz' height.

Caiz positioned himself. Nakaangat ng konti ang kaliwang paa nito't bumwelo upang lumipad pa sa himpapawid. His dragon wings are igniting flames around it, and every time he fly heigher it ignites even more.

Nagpakawala ng napakaraming invisible air blades ang mga ito kaya napatigil sa paglipad si Caiz. Hinarap niya ang mga ito. His dragon eyes can see through it even if it's invisible. Instead of flying away to dodge their attacks, sinalubong niya ang mga ito.

He opened his mouth and just as those blades were about one meter away from him, he released a loud roar. Sapat na ito upang ang nagtutulisang air blades ay tumalsik pabalik sa kanilang apat. The impact was so powerful. Napaatras ang mga ito't dahil masyadong mabilis ang pagbalik ng atake nila'y hindi nila ito naiwasan pa.

They got hurt with their own attack. Only Aerus was quick and powerful enough to keep himself protected using his spherical air shield. Kahit pa nga na protektahan nito ang sarili ay hindi maitatanggi ni Aerus na malakas ito sapagkat muntik na nitong matibag at masira ang kalasag na gawa nito.

Caiz smiled, but it wasn't genuine. It was a smile, mocking Aerus and his mates who are now lying on the ground bleeding. Nagtagis ang bagang ni Aerus nang makita ang mapang-asar na ngisi sa labi ni Caiz.

This man was laying low in the institute. He's keeping a low profile for a reason and Aerus' been observing him and he knew something is really up with him that keeps on bothering him. Turns out his hunch was right, Caiz is something.

He is different from them.

He's said to be the long lost son of the Minister. Said to be alive when they thought he's dead from an arson a decade ago, but out of nowhere he appeared and claimed himself as the Minister's son with a proof.

Sa tuwing nakikita niya si Caiz ay palaging nakabuntot ito kay Flare. He never seen him with somone else. Kaya wala siyang malapitan o mapagtanungan ng mga impormasyon ukol sa kaniya. Even the knights have no proper information about him aside from his name, age, and father.

Nakipagtagisan naman ng tingin si Caiz sa kaniya. Being the son of the Minister, Caiz is a noble kind. He can make an eye contact with royalties but in no more than five seconds. Looking how he stare at Aerus, he's bold and courageous. Aerus was pissed with the way Caiz would look at him.

It was as if Aerus was someone below him. Caiz' aura screamed charisma, authority, and elegance. Ang tindig nito'y parang isang kataas-taasan at kagalang-galang na prinsipe. He's like a prince with his own crown and kingdom.

"Aren't you afraid to be punished with the way you look at me?" Aerus questioned. Caiz chuckled and spread his dragon wings freely.

"Why would I be?" he answered.

You should be more afraid of your own monster and not with anyone else, Prince Aerus of the Air Continent.

Napakurap na lamang si Aerus nang marinig ang mapang-uyam na boses ni Caiz sa isipan niya. He can't take the insult much longer. He's pissed with the way he talk, his voice, his face, and with him carrying Flare in his arms.

He motioned both of his hands and created a massive amount of air ball and released it within a few seconds. Caiz on the other hand can't help but to smirk.

Sometimes it's really hard to impress somone, but it's easy to annoy and irritate them.

Aerus' attack seemed serious this time so calculated the damage of his attack in case it would hit him. Surprisingly, even though his powers were supressed he can still weild a strong energy force, but it wasn't as strong as him.

Muli ay tinitigan niya lang ang atakeng papalapit sa kaniya na para bang wala siyang problema rito. As the air ball went closer and closer all he did was to cover himself and Flare with his dragon wings. His wings clasped in front of him, and the air ball's impact vanished like nothing.

Napatulala na lang si Aerus sa nasaksihan. Caiz' wings sprang free. The air energy from his attack even made the flames around his dragon wings ignite even more, it's emitting fire sparks now. He just couldn't believe it.

What is he?

"You can watch me, mock me, try to block me, but you cannot stop me." After saying those words, Caiz gave him the last taunting smile before he flew right into the tallest statue in the Sky City and successfully snatched the insignia.

It happened so fast that all of Aerus' attempted attacks were all missed and dodged easily. Air space battle was Caiz' domain. No one in this continent can deafeat him.

When Caiz took the insignia, a flashing red light exploded like fireworks in the sky. This is the sign of defeat. It means both the insignia and medallion were not in the hands of the Air Continent's representatives anymore. They lost.

As Caiz watched the red sparks in the sky, admiring the view, he went stilled for a moment when he noticed the sparks stopped. When he look at the insignia he was holding, it stopped from moving. Inalis niya ang kamay niyang nakahawak dito at nagtaka siya nang hindi ito nahulog, it was floating.

When he look around, the leaves of the trees, the butterfly that was about to fly away from the flower, the representatives were unmoving. What he could hear was nothing but a deafening silence.

It was as if the time has stopped.

Caiz look at Flare who was unmoving in his arms. He gazed at her beauty, admiring how red and luscious can her lips be, her porcelain white skin, long wave like lashes, and her-

He was taken aback when her lips moved and formed a smile. Her eyes opened and look straight right into his soul with a cold expression on her face.

He's done for it, he's sure.

He cursed on his mind when her smile made him remember how manipulative and calculative she is.  Oh, so he thought he controls the situation. The truth is, he isn't. It was another way around. Damn it!

It made him remember how she caught Eagan red handed, how Yael danced within her palm, and now he, he's trapped within a game he thought he already won. The king was right. The more you convice yourself not to fall into her trap, and no matter how careful you are, one day you'll find out you you've already fallen into her mind games and cages unknowingly.

She can be very calculative and manipulative sometimes. But once she planned for it, there's no way you're getting away with it. Yes, he remembered the king's words.

Truly, she's his daughter. 

"Now tell me who you are, Caiz Perfecto." Walang ibang magawa si Caiz kun'di ang mapapatitig sa mukha ng dalaga. He can't lie anymore now, nor deny anything.

"Lie and die." Hindi niya pa man nabubuka ang bibig niya ay parang ayaw na niyang magsalita. As he look at her in his arms, how can a woman be this brutal and ungrateful after you saved them?

Oh he forgot, she made him save her for a purpose.

And the purpose is to caught him like what she did to Eagan and Yael. What a wise and feisty woman, a daredevil. What do you expect anyway.

She's the mess of the gorgeous chaos anyway.
