After Laurel's best friend, Danielle, dies, she moves back to her home town. There she finds letters from Danielle to her explaining what happened. Every day is a challenge for Laurel to get up, let alone read the last messages from Danielle. 

All Laurel wants is to find out is what happened to her. And all Laurel needs is someone to protect her from the old memories and nightmares coming back. 

Will Laurel figure out what happened?

Will she have someone with her? 

Or will she be left in the dark?
