: ̗̀➛ apps to use
in here, i'll be showing you the main apps i use for my edits / covers :)
~
↳ polarr
literally the best app to ever exist! polarr is definitely a lifesaver, the filters you can add to pictures in this app is honestly what makes your covers/edits look *perfect*
^ i mean,, look at the difference!!
in all honesty, the picture looks gorgeous even without the filter but i'm sticking to a dark theme in my account & books, so this is quite helpful
<how to use polarr & it's features will be uploaded in another chapter>
~
↳ picsart
my number #2 favorite editing app is picsart. i've been using this app for like four years now, and it's features never fail to amaze me.
i normally use picsart to set the cover ratio, add edits to the cover photo like blur/motion blue, dust & gradient/depth. you can also use picsart for vectors, and if you want to freehandly write the title <draw option>
~
↳ phonto
guys, i can literally go rambling about phonto for ages. it is the BEST app to add texts to photos.
why? because you can add custom, aesthetically pleasing fonts which you can download through your phone browser/chrome. you can download the font once, have it installed to phonto app and tada! you can use it anytime and make your edits/covers look stunning :D
i'll be explaining about the application features in another chapter <3
[these three apps are all i use for my covers, but since i'll be giving you character aesthetics/mood board tutorials too, i'll get you familiar with other apps i use]
~
↳ instagram layout
i use this app for collages, to make the simplest mood boards [yk the ones with nine images?] it's completely optional to have this app because the maximum number of images you can add is 9 and you can do it on picsart collage option too, & even in the next app i'm about to introduce.
i use layout just bc it's easy to use lol but if you don't have enough space in your phone, or don't want to install too many apps then, never mind :D
~
↳ adobe spark post
now this is another lifesaver for someone like me, who makes mood boards for fun.
why you should have spark post?
in picsart and layout, both apps have a maximum limit of pictures per collage as 9, it kind of gets frustrating because you can't add even one more. and this is where spark post come in, you can add upto 20 images per collage from my experience and that, my friends, is fantastic.
UPDATE: the app's name has now been changed to 'cc express' :>
~
↳ adobe lightroom
for those who find difficulty on downloading polarr due to android version <idk about ios guys i'm not much familiar with iphones yet>, lightroom is an alternative for polarr. you can find polarr presets on youtube or you can find them on pinterest & tiktok, and it can be as good as polarr :D <i don't use lightroom much but yeahhh>
another alternative app to add filters is vsco, i've used it before but right now i don't have vsco in my phone & i'm too lazy to download it hehe. but you can use vsco too, you can find vsco filter adjustments on pinterest. there are quite pretty ones.
~
↳ remini
remini comes in handy bc it helps to enhance blurry pictures. i don't usually use remini, but when i do the results are always good.
downside to remini is that, you can enhance only five pictures per day [i'll give you a tip on how to enhance more pictures per day without subscription in the app features chapter].
also, highly blurred images might turn out funny in this app. but other than that, remini is 4.5/5 stars.
~
hope you guys found this helpful! i'll be uploading chapters about the features of these apps soon, stay tuned <3
