17.

She can't stop smiling. Again. Lisa might not be completely sure of what she's feeling for him and even though there are judgments niggling at the back of her mind - just silently waiting for her attention - it's almost impossible to think of any bad thoughts while she's lying on Jungkook's chest. Hearing to his now much calmer heartbeats, her subconscious ran back to what just happened.

It could be the pumping adrenaline after being single for the first time in a long time...or it could be that Jungkook is just skilled at driving her crazy. Lisa didn't have much room for thoughts from the moment he grabbed and kissed her hard! These strong arms made me want so much...and as they're holding her so close, it made her feel safe too. The thought felt so foreign, it's unnerving.

"Are you cold? We can move to the bed...it's much more comfortable under the duvet," There's a playful tone to it so Lisa giggled before snuggling closer to his neck.

"No...this is nice..."

In the small space fit for only one body, the two is plastered in post-sex sweats - with her on top of him.

"Me or the couch?"

She wanted to say a direct 'you' but just for the laugh, she replied with, "I'm floating comfortably on this couch. It's a magic couch," - to which he did laugh.

"I'm never replacing this couch! It's seen your body so I'm not letting it tell anyone," The light trail of his fingers on her waist tickled so she giggled again and looked up to find him grinning sheepishly. "Can we go for lunch tomorrow? I'll pick you up at work -"

"I didn't take you as the clingy type. Didn't we agree on meeting this Friday?"

"Yes, but that was before you seduced me while I was being a dedicated teacher. And for the record, I did ask you to go out with me for twelve years straight...or did you forget?"

Lisa rolled her eyes at his smart-mouth. "You're the one who kept leaning so close to me -"

"Exactly...dedicated teacher,"

"And you're using the word 'wand'...and 'steam' -"

"My student have a dirty mind. Not quite my fault,"

It's times like these that she's truly confused on whether to slap him silly or kiss that smart-mouth! What will turn Jungkook into that awkward bunny again cus that'll definitely help!

"My ex waited one week to call me back, you know,"

"We're not talking about exes post-sex, please,"

"I'm just saying...it builds the anticipation,"

"I think we've gone past anticipation. I prefer consistency. Please...I can't wait till Friday - that's too long!"

"It's in two days!"

"That's two thousand...eight hundred, and eighty minutes! Too damn long!!" It's just too easy for him to make her laugh!

"Stop! My cheek's gonna hurt!" His hands snaked around and pulled her close, as if there's even any more space left between them.

"Oh, but I like that sound..."

By the time she's done laughing, she caught him staring intently - a small, warm smile curving on his lips. His eyes reflects softness and admiration...and she found herself wishing for the night to stay as it is. And he would stay the way he is...looking at me, just like this. There's a strange feeling roaming somewhere in her...almost sickly, but not quite.

"Okay...pick me up tomorrow,"

The glee in his face made her blush so she looked away and leaned back to his chest.

...

The rowdy crowds since 2am had calmed a little as the music queued its way to the closing of the club. The running spotlights had dimmed down and laughing chatters began to sound louder. Once in a while, Jungkook would look up from the bar to find one more table being left empty.

It's quite refreshing actually. Seven months ago, he vowed to be here day and night. When Wild Venus opened - as tiring as it could be - he couldn't think of anywhere better to be than here. But now...now he's counting the hours to pass - hoping that it goes faster so he can rest well enough to be with Lisa.

To say that the girl had gotten under his skin is an understatement. Jungkook had willingly lets her accommodate whichever parts of him that she wants, mentally and physically. Like a puppy in love, his chest beats unsettlingly fast with any thought of her. Especially when she's naked...no, that sets a record of its own!

He glanced at his watch, pretending to lost his memory of what time the club normally closes. 3.58...she must be sleeping...no, I shouldn't bother her. Just a text...maybe a text...

"Kook!"

He looked up and found Sana across the counter, leaning forward with a big, drunk smile. Behind her stood a few of her friends, chatting among themselves.

"Hey...you guys enjoyed the night?" He plastered a friendly smile.

"Very much! The music was hot. Momo here kept complimenting how great the beats were," She dragged an arm forward. "She's a dancer so we trust her," Sana chuckled.

Lisa's a dancer...maybe I should bring her here again? Revisit her passion? Or is it my passion - either way, won't it be a win-win?

"So you're Jungkook!" 'Momo' beamed for whatever reason. "Sana's mentioned you before. The place is amazing by the way and the drinks -" Those wide-eyes emphasized how happy she was, he could tell.

"I'm glad you loved it. I'll let my head barista know he did a good job," He flashes a grin. Another thing he caught up quite quick and well since he opened the place is good PR.

"Any special nights for the ladies?"

"I'd say every night are special for ladies such as yourselves, but Thursdays would hit it out the park. Free-flow until two, and hiphop R&B's playing...I'm sure a dancer like you would appreciate it,"

"Charming..." She squints her eyes flirtatiously before turning to Sana. "Your lost, girl,"

It made him want to laugh out loud for sure but he kept his composure.

"I thought you'd drop by the room...was it a busy night?" Sana asked out of the blue.

"I don't normally check on my guests," Jungkook continues to check on the balance sheet in his hand. "Only when I know they needed extra attention. Why? Did you need something?"

"Ohh...no, just that..." He looked back up to find the shy smile that he knew from before. It felt like he hadn't seen that smile for ages. "We haven't seen each other since the break up. I didn't see you when I came in so I thought you'd at least come by and say 'hello',"

Oh... "Sorry, Sana. You're with your friends, and I thought you really wanted the privacy. I didn't mean to be rude," That really was not the case but again, good PR.

She didn't respond immediately, but he could see that she wanted to. Some unspoken words that he felt was not needed. Perhaps she's wondering the same too. "It's really good to see you again, Jungkook. And maybe...I'll get to see you being happy,"

He wasn't sure if there's supposed to be 'happy' written on his face. Jungkook thought he was being a sensible, political ex-boyfriend-slash-host up until now. Contented? Perhaps soon enough.

"My friends seemed to enjoy tonight, so maybe I'll see you again soon,"

I mean...regular visits by guests are always welcome. Even if that said guest is an ex-girlfriend - "Sure. Just call the reception if you need to book a room again,"

...

On their fifth date, he got her 'playing tourist' from noon till sundown - ending it perfectly at the scenic Seoul Sky Park. Not wanting to challenge her skill at photography, he carried his camera with pride to record videos of her 'forced' activities all around towns. It was embarrassing...and cute. And quite romantic.

It's quite surprising how lively the city is when she's not on her usual route to work and home. She honestly think it was a trap when he first brought her to Myeongdong - walking past the streets without any clear directions. She was lured into a cat cafe by a guy (or a girl) in a cat costume. Jungkook showed no objection when she wanted to go in and that's how it started.

It was natural for him to record her whenever she wasn't paying attention to him and for this first one, she has no regrets at all. Why would she - the cats were all so cute!! He then led her to Namdaemun Market. She almost thought she'll go crazy with all the eye-candies and hidden treasures she could find there! The traditional stores sort of reminded her of the street markets in her own hometown.

Once in a while, Jungkook would ask her to look at the camera as she was holding up a hat or an accessory - just to get her to smile down shyly. She tried a 32cm-long twisted ice cream cone while there. He sulked when she pretended to not want to share. It was her pay-back. They laughed a lot as they made their way to the cable car at Mount Namsan.

On the way up to the observatory, he stopped at nothing to get her into talking about what she liked most about her stay here in Seoul. Or more like he stopped at nothing until he gets the right answer on what I liked most about Seoul!

"The cat costume guy?" She continued teasing.

"What else?" It now sounded like a rehearsed question by the already annoyed Jungkook, still pointing the camera at her face.

"That pretty ugly hat with a bunch of uncoordinated colored ribbons on it,"

"Deep down you wanted to buy it. What else?"

"I can't think anymore!" She laughed.

"Really?? There's really nothing else that you like about being here?" He pursed his lips, looking adorably flustered.

"My friends! Oh wait - I've said that!" The irritations were obvious as she continued to tease him.

"We're almost reaching," He rolled his eyes.

"Oh oh! Love! And Bahm!!"

"And...?" Now he just seemed desperate. Lisa shrugged, throwing her gaze out to the view of the city skyline. "Really? Nothing else??"

She kept her silence, suppressing her need to laugh out loud really hard. When he sighed and puts his camera back down, she muttered, "And you, of course,"

"Repeat that," He made a quick detour to which had her burst into hysterical laughter.

"I don't know any guy that's as self-absorbed as you are!"

"You only had one guy," He rolled his eyes.

"Exactly," And she rolled hers back, making her point in triumph.

...

Days with Jeon Jungkook had been colorful. He really didn't lie with his words so far! 'I wanna see you all the time' and he's been taking any minutes he could get out of her otherwise routined hours. 'We'll talk every day, whenever we can' and she ended up always having her phone close to her when they're not with each other. If he's not giving her a call, it'll be text messages - down to the most mundane things that could only serve as an update.

It felt like a new leaf indeed. Summer is coming and moments in their dates too, have been rising up like hopeful blooming flowers under full sun. The more time she spent with him, the more she forgot what Fall felt or will be like. He made her laugh and smile like a person without any worries, and it's obvious that he enjoyed it as much as she does.

"What's this?" She held up the two keys that he just presented to her. They are attached to a small 'cat' keychain - similar to the ones on her house keys.

"This is for the front door..." He pointed to one, "...and this is for the back, the one to the backyard...", and to the other.

She frowned and looked up to his face, not quite understanding. "Are you going somewhere? Do you need me to check your house or something?"

"Cute," He laughed. "It's for when you're staying over. I think it's easier if you just leave some clothes at the house too...so you won't have to rush back for when you have work the next morning,"

Oh...but - "I've only stayed over three times, Kook," And it's only because he 'treated' her so damn good that she got really tired and sleepy enough to not overthink of her tomorrows! "I don't need it,"

The dimmed lighting in this room enhanced the structures of everything on him, yet she finds herself unable to focus as she usually would. She wasn't sure why but for the first time in their two weeks 'together', panic started creeping up in her chest. We haven't even gotten into the topic of 'what this is' yet...now he's expecting me to move in??

"Then think of it as an 'emergency pack'. I feel bad bout the other day when I had to run to the club last minute...I wouldn't have been a sloth to send you back but I was so tired -"

"Why are you still thinking bout it? I told you it was fine, you didn't have to feel anything over it," The unknown fear might be showing on her face because Jungkook immediately clasped her hand and pulled her close. For a second there, she hoped he won't say anything that requires her to decide on anything. Please...we're having a good time, aren't we? Can't we just take a wild card on this?

"Please...don't think too much about this, Lisa. It's just the house keys. Nothing more,"

She gave a small sigh and a nod just to let the topic go, but she knew she'll be thinking about it when darkness catches her alone. She haven't had much time to figure out how she really feels about Jungkook, despite the obvious fact that he makes her happily distracted all the time. He's still looking at me the same...he's still acting the same.

A part of her is glad of the thought...and that same part is asking for more. But there's a deeper side of her - playing a bigger part - that kept her at bay. It comes in the same voices that says she's going to get hurt again and it will be monstrously devastating. The fact that Jungkook himself has not said a word about the status of their 'relationship' added to it.

It's a weird feeling...when you want something so bad, but also don't want it. One's mind is a dangerous place to be wondering by itself, and Lisa will always ended up thinking about it when she's left alone. The only reason why she managed to brush it off quickly so far was by recalling any fluttering moments she had with him. And for this...

"Tell me bout your family," She recalled the sudden question from him while they were waiting for the movie to start at the cinema a few days ago.

"I told you...I'm an only child,"

"Yes...and what are your parents like? You never shared much about them,"

"And you're seeking the information right now? Like...three minutes before the movie?" She giggled down shyly to her hand in his.

"I've been collecting bits of pieces of you, in case you haven't noticed," He cocks an eyebrow as if he's expecting an award for his great efforts. It makes her heart happy every time she sees it.

"Even so...it's a weird timing,"

"No...what's weird is that you always find a reason to not talk about home. Family...friends...it makes me wonder what's waiting in that closet!"

She laughed a little louder and gotten a few heads turned. "My parents are wonderful!" She squeezed his hand to emphasize the embarrassment. "They're the nicest, understanding, most humble and warm people you'll ever meet!"

"Can't wait for it then!" His eyes sparkled with genuine interest and her smile turned to a shy one again. How is it so easy for him to turn these basic words into heart-fluttering promises??

"It's mainly the reason I left home, by the way," Lisa thought she would never say this out loud to anyone, but here she is. "They're just too kind to endure all the gossiping...while still trying to understand me. It's sort of to repay them too. They've been worrying a lot...about the engagement...then the wedding. A family of 'pushovers' - that's what people are saying...just because they didn't argue when the other party didn't show up. I didn't want them to hear it for longer, so I left,"

She looks back up and his lips are pursed - showing the little dimples she liked to kiss whenever he sends her home.

"They're proud of you...and miss you, I bet,"

Simple words. Meaningful words. Perhaps the former has been what she hoped to hear, yet scared to admit. And it's especially heartwarming to hear it from him.

...

'Sure, I'll buy them but I won't guarantee that she'll do it. I'll let you know if she does. Let me know if everything's okay over there. You sound weird'

He peeked at the message and chuckled. Noticing the girl coming back to his side, he placed the phone back into his pocket - feeling giddy again. Jungkook may meet Lisa everyday, but the tense in his chest still kicks in when it's their official date! Slightly less nerve-wracking than the first time, but the worries are still there. It seems that Lisa holds all the power in this...whatever relationship they're in currently.

It's their seventh official date...and nothing's been said yet. Not a word of what they are to each other. And although Jungkook knew he had been obvious on how crazy he is for her, her reactions to him had remained the same. He could tell that she enjoys his company day and night but other than that, he's quite unsure of what she really wants out of this.

He was always the one to call or text first. He was always the more excited one. He was always the one who decides on when their next meet or date will be. As much as he could rest with just a 'she's happy and that's all that matters' day by day, Jungkook can't help but feel more of her...what's it called...indifference, perhaps?

"I like you so much that it hurts". He wasn't lying when he said that. He wanted so much to shout to her and the whole world at times...perhaps if he did, he'll be convinced once and for all that he won't lose her. But he could tell that she's not ready for that kind of conversation yet.

There's a reason why she didn't want to talk much about home. It's because they're all still kept neatly packed in probably more than ten luggages hidden somewhere in the dark. He thought that as long as she kept dodging him with cute, reserved smiles and giggly distractions, she will not be ready with what he could potentially presents.

That sets back a lot of things - mainly in trying to understand the depths of her personality and whether she's really happy with him. She's damn good at hiding her thoughts and feelings so all he could rely on for now is the way she smiles and laughs with him. It could still be too early for her...

"Are you sure they're good with strangers? I don't want to upset them,"

Cute question...damn cute face! "They're fine. I'm sure they'll be as whipped as I am -" Wait, would that scare her?

"Whipped?" She laughed...thankfully. "You're exaggerating again,"

He wasn't, of course...but again, he's not about to risk it. Jungkook squeezed her hand in his instead, hiding his blushing face as he led her into the animal shelter.

Hints of dogs' barking are heard in echoes the moment they stepped in. The scent of musky grass that he had gotten used to makes him feel anxious for some reason. Here, on their sixth date, he'll be introducing her to his pups. I hope she loves them as much as I do!

He led her past the reception area after a nod to the familiar face at the counter and towards the glass door which leads to the large, open backyard. There's only a couple of visitors around at this time of the day so a lot of benches are free for her to wait, thankfully.

"Just have a seat anywhere. I'll bring them out," He said, letting go of her hand as she nods without question.

Watching her hesitation in deciding where to go made his heart flutter, so he took a deep breath to calm it down before heading back to the reception.

"Is Ha Eun not in today? I'd like to take the boys out for a bit,"

"She...was here...just now..." The guy from the other side stood up and looked around, looking a little confused. "Maybe she went to the back,"

"That's okay. Can I take the leash and the boys?"

"Yes, of course. Do you know where -"

"Yes!" I've only been here for thousands of times! "Thank you," Jungkook smiled happily before making his way further inside.

...

Lisa might swore her life as a cat-mom but she loves dogs equally. But because she never had them as pets, it's always a little nerve-wracking on the first meet. They seem to have a way of making their marks and territories - mainly said, whether they like you or not. And this is not just one dog, it's two. Two of Jungkook's pups...maybe it's a little far-stretched to be meeting them this early -

He appeared from the entrance with two leashes and two Dobermans and Lisa wasn't sure who's attending to whom. It looked like Jungkook was being dragged forward rather than a smooth 'walking-the-dogs'. She bursts out laughing when she thought of how clumsy he'd look like once they're officially adopted. Still cute, but no longer the charming and cool guy she knew so far!

The slightly bigger one reached her first and Lisa wondered how it could tell that Jungkook is introducing them. "Hi buddy! Aren't you the cutest -" The whole body is shaking with excitement as she rubbed his fluff. "It's nice to meet you too!"

The second came up much calmer with a wiggling tail - sniffing her hand slightly before resting his neck on her knees. Ahh...so cute!!

"He's been a little moody...I'm not sure why. The vet wasn't available,"

"That's okay...everyone has their bad days, right love?" Lisa bent on her knees and rubs his torso and belly. He seemed happy with it so she continued in that position.

"Love?"

"What are their names?" She looked up to Jungkook's pink cheeks. This adorable guy with his adorable pups are melting her heart!

"This is Bahm...and his little brother here...you called him Love,"

"So Love it is!!" She squeaked in excitement. "You like that name, don't you Love?" It always comes naturally for her to be doing baby-talks with her pets, so if he's laughing at her...well, why the hell not??

"Jungkook-ssi," A girl called out and Lisa sat back down on the bench. Love climbed up - following to sit on her lap.

"Ahh Ha Eun-ssi. I was looking for you just now. I wanted to check if they're okay,"

Wearing light blue from top to toe, her ponytail bounced happily along with a warm, delightful smile that Lisa imagined would be sunshine to the animals in here. 'Ha Eun' reached to his side and as she placed a hand on Jungkook's shoulder, Lisa felt a tinge of jealousy creeping up her chest. Is she not the veterinarian here? Why is she touching him? Are they 'that' close?

"Sorry, I was caught up with a patient. Dal has a slight fever this morning," She came forward and picked Love up as if Lisa didn't even exist.

Dal...he already has a name. Dal...it means moon, right? That's a much better name -

"We decided to call him Love from now on. Please call him that so he can get used to it," Jungkook beamed at Lisa and her heart did a double-flip.

Ha Eun glanced briefly at her and back to Jungkook. "We? Oh...sorry, is this your girlfriend?"

The triple-flip doesn't feel like a good one. It makes her feel like running...or hiding...for some reason. Please don't say it...please...don't say it - or maybe do -

"A friend,"

...

"I didn't know vets can be so touchy," There. I said it.

It was really hard to watch. After Jungkook called her 'a friend', the girl continued to act like she wasn't even there! Worst part is, Love kept trying to get out of her hold but seemed to be held so tight that Lisa felt like flying high with a kick to her stomach just to let the pup go.

Lisa tried justifying it in her head the whole way through. She didn't want him to say that she's his girlfriend. But then, a small part of her also wants him to. It's fucking confusing and she's done with keeping her frustrations inside.

But she's a vet...she must be really good with the pups. I can't imagine a guy like Jungkook not liking a girl who's good with his pets. She seemed to like looking at his face too...maybe too much - ugh!

"Touchy? What do you mean?" Jungkook's face was as innocent as Love and Bahm's and it's even more annoying!

Of course! "You must be so used of women touching you that you didn't even realize how many times she'd gotten close to you,"

"She uh..." Now he's stuttering. Bad sign. "I didn't notice...Lisa, I -"

"It's fine," Just confirms it, that's all. "It's a good thing I'm not your girlfriend, Jungkook-ssi," She managed a smile - although it might come across as a smirk instead.

Staring out towards the passing streets, Lisa began to wonder why she felt so down about it. I like him. I like him...that's why. I was hoping that he'd be different. But I knew he wasn't. Why else would he hesitate? Why else would he take his time in calling what this is? Could it be because I hadn't asked?

She doesn't know a lot, especially those revolving around her actual feelings for the guy but at this point, she knew she'd be crying for a good amount of time when this ends. Probably over her own lack of judgement and mistakes. Probably because she'll miss the way he is when he's with her. Or the way I am when I'm with him -

"Lisa," He stopped the car at a side of the street and turned to her. "I'm sorry, I didn't notice. Maybe because I've held the dogs up way too many times when she had to check on them. There's nothing, really. It doesn't do anything to me, if that's what you're wondering,"

She blinked. "Do anything?"

He lift her hand in his. "This...as simple as this...does things to me. And that only happens with you,"

Still good with words...and it's still working. "What else does things to you?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Just...everything about you,"

What was I upset about again? She leaned forward slowly and stopped inches away from his lips before whispering, "What happens when I do this?"

He shuts his eyes and she could tell he's trying his very best not to close the gap. "You..." He sighed a nervous laugh and she thought she'll miss this cute look too. "You make me nervous all the time. When are you gonna stop? Have mercy on me, please,"

...

"What does this mean?" She traced the flower ink on his arm.

He stretched his neck a little to look down before teasing, "The most awesome man to ever exist," - followed by her giggles. "It's my birth flower. There's a phrase to it...something like 'please love me',"

For a second there, she thought it was a pleading. Lisa cleared her throat as she tries to lighten the situation. "I imagine it shouldn't be that hard to a point you needed a tattoo for it,"

"Are you complimenting me? I just wanna be sure so I can embrace it fully,"

She slapped his hard ribs. "I compliment you all the time! You make it sound like I'm this horrible person just because I don't immediately throw myself at you,"

"I didn't ask you to throw yourself at me and even if you did do it, I'm sure my efforts will remain the same,"

She looked up to him and saw a different kind of smile on him. It's polite...but also sad. Disconcerted even. She leaned up to her elbow and began tracing on his jawline, just to keep believing that this perfect man really do exist for her...for now.

"What do you really want from me? All those efforts for someone you barely even knew...what makes you think that it's even worth it?"

Jungkook stayed quiet. His eyes shined as if there are many unspoken words, and the only one she could understand was 'I really do like you'. It warms her little heart.

"You can tell me. I won't run,"

"You say that now. We just had a perfect end of the night. I don't wanna ruin anything by my thoughts. You might think it's silly," He grinned but she knew it was a way of him to dodge the question. "Let's talk about why you're into wildflowers so much - that'll be more interesting!" See?

"There'll be no more dates if we're not having this conversation," She shot him a glare. "You seemed to always want things to be said out loud, even when I'm not that kind of person. You've seen me naked so many times so..." She squared her shoulders. "Here I am, trying to be brave,"

The pretentious frown on her face was probably the reason of his suppressed giggles, but he copied the way she leaned on her elbow so she knew he's ready to come clean.

"In that case, 'Braveheart'..." He tapped lightly on the peak of her nose. "I want all of you, just for myself,"

I mean...I'm here with him, aren't I? Lisa stayed silent despite the fluttering feeling in the pit of her stomach, only focusing on his eyes and waiting for more. Slowly...carefully...he interlaced his fingers with hers. For the first time since she had known him, Jungkook is reflecting hesitations in his choice of words.

"I don't know if I can put a title to it...just for the sake of a peace of mind maybe - and that's only if I'm allowed to," He kept staring at their intertwined fingers. "There's this um...ring in my head - like a bell ring, since the first time I saw you. I didn't quite know what it meant before...but I'm leaning towards I'm meant to meet you. Like...destiny," He looked back up to her, probably checking if she's following.

"My efforts with you...my patience, waiting for the day when I get to see you again...it was based on that belief. I believe that everything had been written down...things happened...just to lead me to you and you to me,"

She wasn't sure why but the reality of her situation banged loudly as he said it. Ruthlessly...relentlessly. His charms and passion was suddenly nowhere to be seen to calm her down. All at once, Lisa felt heavy storms clouding in her mind and chest.

"You mean..." She sat up unknowingly and panic rose in Jungkook's face. "I was meant to leave my home in the worst possible way -"

"Lisa,"

Thuds...only loud thuds of her heavy beating heart can be heard. "Carrying nothing but heartbreaks - nothing, no one there for me to cry on -"

He sat up. "Lisa, please,"

"I lost my friends! I left my parents...the months I've spent, all on my own -"

"You said you wouldn't run!"

She realized now that she's already on her feet. Her undergarments are already clinging on her body and her dress is clutched in a way to cover herself. Why did I ask - what was I even thinking?? This was a mistake!

"Please...don't misunderstand this. It's exactly why I didn't wanna say anything -" He stood up and began putting on his clothes, just as she started buttoning her dress.

"What - cus I'd freak out??" Her heart was pounding hard against her ribs.

"You asked and I -" He sighed and the exasperation is more apparent by the second. "I could've put it in a better way. You gave me no option and hardly any time - I don't know what you were expecting -"

"Definitely not you saying I'm meant to be crying by myself and fearing practically everyone around me just for us to fucking meet each other, Jungkook!"

"So what - you preferred lies instead? Would it be better if I said 'oh, I just wanna see where this goes' like some kind of asshole you've been expecting me to be?"

"I did not -"

"You've been wanting this!" The blast was given, paired with his now-red face. "You've been comparing me - wanting me to somehow fuck things up so you can pat yourself at the back and give yourself that nod that I'm exactly the same as your ex - whoever the asshole is! You had me walking on eggshells, just admit that much,"

Anger was pulsing through her like fire. It's the most bizarre that they're now shouting at each other when only minutes ago they were clinging to one another like vines under warm sunshines!

"You're involving me in some kind of belief that we're meant to be together when we've only gone out for three weeks - sue me for not trusting you to death!" She grabbed her bag and headed to the door.

"Now it's about trust? I told you how I felt - that's me trusting you, now why did you ask if you can't do the same?" Her heels refused to stop. Running will only make me look like a coward...and I am not a coward!
