In the 1980s, there is a family the goldbergs involving Adam f Goldberg the youngest brother,Barry Goldberg,Erica Goldberg and Ellie Goldberg the most troublesome of them all.

Geeky Adam uses a video camera to document his family's crazy life. His mother, Beverly, is overprotective mother and lacks boundaries and likes controlling and protecting her kids every way possible, while his dad has a hot temper and finds it difficult to parent without screaming and shouting and calling kids names like moron.

Rounding out the clan are Adam's terrifying sisters Erica and Ellie, his older brother, Barry, who has middle-child syndrome who spends all of his time obsessed with sports and picking on Adam and the family's beloved grandfather, Al "Pops" Solomon. Pops is responsible for wild antics, including offering drinks to Barry and teaching Adam about the ways of love -- which create more chaos in an already high-strung family.
