I couldn't see where this strange person had gone with Ella-May but she was gone.

Then the principal came over the intercom.
"False alarm, students. Everyone is okay!"
"I wish that were true" I whispered under my breath
"Something not awesome?" Janice asked
"It's Ella-May."
"Ella-May? But she was just a loser!"
"She's not a loser!! She's my friend! No. My best friend!!
"You turn on us and you are out of our squad!! You'll be dead to us like Ellie!"

After that the whole school turned on me and the spotlight was back on Janice.

But Ella-May was so much more important than Janice and her squad.

Then it was time to get her back.

I wasn't ready to lose my best friend now.

And I never will again.
