Chapter 6: Potions
Hey guys! I finally am posting a new chapter! Hope you enjoy!
Chapter Six
I woke up to the sound of one loud, monstrous snore. I sighed. I looked over at Amanda. She was the culprit of the snoring. I sighed and got out of bed. The only other person out of bed was Christine.
"Morning," I said groggily, still not fully awake.
"Hi!" Christine replied cheerfully.
"Should we wake up this snoring culprit?" I asked.
"Sure!" she said, bouncing on the tips of her toes.
"Okay."
"One, two . . . three!"
We pounced on Amanda at the same time.
"Chocolate Frogs!" she shouted, startled, sitting up in bed.
"Um, Amanda? Where you dreaming of Chocolate Frogs?" I asked warily.
"Yessssssssss."
"Okay, let's get you out of bed."
"I need a Chocolate Frog!" She suddenly bolted out of bed and scrambled in her trunk to find a one.
"Yes! I found it!" she exclaimed.
I looked over into her hand and there in her hand was a melted Chocolate Frog.
"Oh. You found it."
"Come on; let's go to breakfast now!" Christine exclaimed.
"Christine, calm down! She needs to get dressed and, um, finish her Chocolate Frog!" I said, pointing down at Amanda, who was hungrily eating her chocolate frog.
"Okay, but hurry!"
Once we had all finished getting dressed and in Amanda's case, finishing her Chocolate Frog, we went down to the Great Hall to eat breakfast.
As we sat down to eat breakfast, I looked over at the Slytherin table and saw just a few people sitting there. I looked to see if Jade was there, and what my luck!
She was sitting there, a smile on her face for some reason. I assume that she was happy about something. I don't care what it was, as long as she was done and gone by the time I was done.
I then saw her and another girl get up to leave their table. I assume that the other girl is her "friend." Please, I probably have way more friends than she has because she's a Malfoy!
I then saw James on my right side a few feet away. I scooched over to them so that I was sitting just about a foot away from him. I decide to pounce. I also saw that Freddie was shoving food in his face like an animal from every direction. It's so revolting, what boys do.
"You're going to make yourself sick eating that fast, Freddie," I said.
"Good morning, Elizabeth," he replied in a resigned voice.
"Good morning, James," I said in a sarcastic manner. I would give him an interesting conversation.
"How's your day going so far?" he replied in such a manner that was simple, yet competitive.
"Perfectly well, thank you very much," I replied, still sarcastic. I giggled to give him an interesting yet competitive conversation. He heard the giggle.
I also heard another giggle, this time coming from Amanda. I almost forgot about Amanda.
"Oh, this is Amanda."
"Hi." Amanda reached across the table and shook hands with both of them. Freddie shook her hand, um, a little more hesitantly.
"Hey," Freddie warily said. "You know what; I think I'm done, actually." He stood up abruptly. "James, you can, uh —"
His face just looked like a face that is, like, weird, confused, um, I can't describe it.
I went over and sat back down next to Amanda. She had this weird look on her face like she was in love or something. At, least that's what I think it looked like.
"Um, Amanda?"
"Yes?" she said in a lovey-dovey voice.
I waved my hand in front of her face. I didn't even see Freddie and James leave.
"Oh!" She snapped back into reality.
"I think I love Freddie. I wanted to kiss him," she replied, back into her love dreamland.
Oh. That's what the look on her face was. Yeah, I think she was a bit too young for kissing. And love.
"Why would you want to kiss a boy at eleven? I mean, I understand crushes and all, but kissing?"
"Yeah."
"Okay," I said warily.
I looked at the time and realized that Potions was starting in twenty minutes!
"Come on, Amanda! Potions start in twenty minutes! Finish up your food and let's go!"
Once we all finished eating, Amanda, Christine, and I all went down to the dungeons. As much as I tried, I couldn't get Amanda to snap back into reality. When we finally arrived in the Potions classroom, we had five minutes left 'til the class started.
I quickly ran over to a table and sat down. Amanda wearily plopped down onto the seat next to me, still in her dreamland.
I searched around for James, but what I found was not just James. It was also JADE.
I just tried to stay calm as I grabbed into my bag to get my ingredients out for today's lesson.
So many people were talking, chattering, and were being SO annoying!
Just then the teacher walked into the classroom. It was Jade's DAD!
Oh, no, I thought. More Malfoy trouble.
