Chapter 11 - Once Upon A Dream
After looking out the window at all the snow, I get down and fall back onto the large, fluffy bed, and ponder where I've seen that man before. I don’t even know his name. I sigh as I keep considering where I might have seen him before……I gasp and quickly sit up as I remember where I've seen that man before.
~*FLASHBACK*~
~*Right After Midterms Earlier Last Year*~
I woke up and turned my head to see a field of flowers. I smiled as I got up and looked around. They were everywhere! There were all kinds of flowers here. I started walking around, before becoming too giddy to keep it all in. I then start running through the field, happy to feel so free. In the midst of roaming the field, I finally notice what I’m wearing. I smile at how cute it is before continuing my journey.
As I roamed the field, I see a dear friend of mine form long ago in his usual attire of green clothing. “Hey!” I announce myself as I make my way over to my friend. I was so happy to see my friend since I haven’t seen him for many weeks, as he normally visits me at least once every week. When I finally reach him, I run up and give him a big hug. “I've missed you.” I whisper into his chest before looking up into his smiling face. “Not as much as I've missed you, my dearest Elizabeth.” I smile at him before replying. “I thought I told you to just all me Liz? All my friends call me that.” He smiles more. “That is why I shall call you Elizabeth.”
I smiled more before requesting an answer from him. “Why were you gone for so long?” His smile faltered before finally replying. “I guess you could say I’ve been busy.” He sighs before smiling again. “Enough about me how are you?” He gestures for me to sit on the bench that appeared. I chuckle at how he always changes the subject to me, rather than talking about himself. “I've been well. I recently finished taking my midterms for the year.” “How do you think you did?” He questions. I thought about it for a minute before answering. “I know I did well in both of my music classes. I believe I did well in Math and English. Science and History are iffy. I also think I did okay in German this time. Then there was P.E. I still don’t like that class, but I always do so well.”
He tried understanding why I didn't like P.E when you did so well in it, but gave up and sighed. “If you do so well in P.E, why don’t you like it then?” He finally asked me. I sheepishly smiled at him. “It’s because I do so well, that I don’t like it. Some of my friends are amazed at how well I do, while the other kids become jealous at how easy it is for me. You know how my dads are, always making sure I’m ready for anything.” I sighed before continuing. “I understand that it’s more the physique of one’s own body that determines your body structure, but they don’t get how I, such a lazy teenager, am able to stay fit. Sometimes even more so than some of the guys at school.” I sigh again as I slump down on the bench.
“Don’t worry about them. Like you said, they are merely just jealous.” He commented as he smiled down at me. “Thank you, dear friend.” I said kindly. “Now, I have a question for you!” I exclaimed before jumping off the bench and standing in front of him. He laughed at me once again. “Yes? What could you possibly want to know?” He said, smiling up at me. “I have so much that I want to ask you, but for now I’ll ask one simple question.” He quirked an eyebrow at me and all of my enthusiasm. I smiled again before continuing. “What is your name?” I've asked him this many times through all the years he’s visited my dreams, but he would never give me an answer. His smiles fell slightly at this. When I saw this, all my enthusiasm drained out of me and I fell back onto the bench. “You still won’t tell me, will you?” I stated. “No.” He sighed, looking at my saddened face.
“I promise you though, that when we meet again, I will tell you my name.” He smiled and stood up. “Oh? And when might that be?” I inquired. “He smirked before stating to walk off. “You shall see.”
That was the last time I ever saw him. That is, until now.
