My mouth drops as I see Stefan drive up to school, that bitch was driving and speeding,the man that couldn't go more than twenty miles an hour, that's never like Stefan "hey you gotta little something on your teeth sweetheart." I turn briefly to Matt, "is it trash? Wouldn't be surprised if you dumpster dive." Matt starts cracking up from his joke, I looked over and stare at Elena as she makes her way across the school parking lot. She gives me a look and waves me over, I flick Matt off as I cross the lot, "What was that for?" I stop and look at Matt," for telling Dave I was gonna jump his bones in first period and in front of Alaric too" He starts laughing as he puts his hands on his knees. "The sad thing was he said he'd never do you, I see why fat ass."I glare at him, "you know you did do my identical sister right?" He starts getting a shit grin on his face," o honey she can at least hold her balance." My mouth pops open as I turn to Stefan as he's staring right at us, I knew he was listening and I turn to Matt once more, as I watch a group of girls cross the street and stare at us, I flip my hair over my shoulder.

"I know I'm sexy babe but I've got a corner to work with men that have more money than you." The girls laugh as they point at Matt, Stefan cracks a laugh as my sister finally reaches him, I give Matt a smirk as his mouth drops, and runs to catch up with the group of girls, "baby's she's just kidding!" I look over the girls, " he's got herpes." I laugh as Matt's head quickly snaps towards my direction, as the group of girls scatter and take off running while screaming their heads off, one successfully slips and busts her ass, I take a quick picture planning to hang it up around school, it is say no to sex week at school.I give Matt a final smirk as I make my way over to them rubbing my hands nervously, I knew something was off with My man Stefan.

"Stefan my man you made it to my corner." We both start laughing as Elena fake laughs with us, "o honey that's my trick." She glares as she shakes her head," I can't take your ass anywhere, can you not be embarrassing for five seconds?" My mouth pops open as Stefan starts to crack up laughing," Betrayal, Damon's now my new best friend sorry Stef you got points deducted, you're  now behind Matt which is an accomplishment."

"Hey!" Matt screams across the parking lot, "Don't you have and STD test to take sweetheart?" Matt's face turns blood red as he shakes his head and walks away, Mrs Milerns face becomes horrified as she takes out a mini hand sanitize from Her black purse and begins to poor it all over her arms as she passes Matt. "O come on!" Matt yells as he raises his hands in the air, I cover my mouth as I let out a snort. "You should like a pig fat ass."  Eliza-1 Matt-0.

"I didn't know you were coming back today." Elena states as she puts her hand possessively on his shoulder, my eyebrow raises In suspension, I wasn't gonna take Stefan from her god knows that would be like incest I stick my tongue out in disgust. When the air is quiet I look up as they both look at me in confusion, "I need to take you to the doctor." I scoff at what Elena just said and shrug it away bitch was gonna get locked in the bathroom tonight for that, I snicker as I plan it out, I might even let Jeremy in on it. "You know I woke up this morning and I was feeling great, and I figured it was time to get back into things."

"Does that mean you're okay now? With all the cravings?" I studied Stefan's face, I knew what he was going to say was a lie I needed to teach the brothers how to lie better. "Yeah. I mean the worst part is over. Now all I can do is spend as much time with you as possible." I gaged as they went in for another kiss, Elena shoves my head, and because I wasn't expecting it I fell over. Stefan states he's gonna grab his things and meet us in class, i worriedly glance back at Stefan one last time while we walk across the parking lot, I didn't know if it was a good idea to tell Elena right now. I give Elena a sad look as we entered the school doors, I was gonna have at talk with Damon on this, My mood immediately lifts knowing I was gonna have a reason to see sexy later, I skip a little as I walk through the door, Matt immediately laughs and falls out of his seat, Alaric stares at him as he continues to laugh his ass off," it wasn't that funny dumb ass." I tell him as I take my seat in front of Elena's, when the room went silent I looked up at Alaric as he was staring at me, I wave my fingers at him, "oops."

I watch as Stefan straggles in late as soon as the bell rings, Elena gives him a smile as he sits down and almost completes our corner of the room, Bonnie was still gone, I look over to her empty desk next to Matt saying I was sorry multiple times in my head even though I know she wouldn't hear any of them . "Okay we'll be setting aside our regular curriculum for a lesson in local history as we approach founders day." I groan as I realized Elena was going to have to be on the court, mom always wanted us to be apart of it, although I wasn't a fan of dresses, but I knew mom would want Elena to finish what they started even without her being here. I clasp my necklace as I hold back the torment of grief that was going to come out. I can't be sad forever she was going to be with me always, wherever we go after death, I shake the dreaded thought away before I thought to much into it again.

"Apparently the community leaders feel that's more important than World War Two,but hey, what do I know?" The class gives him a laugh as he takes a seat on the Conner of his desk. Bonnie abruptly enters the room, she looks like she's been running to get here, I stare as Alaric as he gives her a nod,"sorry I'm late." Bonnie states as she takes the last seat in our corner, "looks like we'll be at full occupancy today. Welcome home Bonnie." I walk with Elena and Bonnie after class, Elena was trying to apologize after grams death, "Bonnie! Bonnie thank god you're home!" I watch as Caroline grabs Bonnie into a hug, "I know we've talked everyday but I missed you!" My eyebrow rises as me Elena both turn to each other, a feeling of betrayal worms it's way through me. "Major wardrobe confab needed ASAP. You need to help me pick the perfect dress for the founders court."

"Oh." I give Elena a pat of reassurance, she grabs my hand and squeezes it back, she knew I wasn't good with words about feelings but she knew I was trying to give her comfort. "The founders court did I miss something?" Elena asks as she continues to hold my hand I knew she needed it so I let her. "The founders court, you know Miss Mystic falls. They announced it today and umm, you and I are both in it." I start picking at the leather of my jacket with my free hand as things are about to get awkward, I pulled out my phone and sent Matt the picture with the girls with the caption 'girls don't catch stds from men like this.' I then sent another picture of Matt picking his nose when we were at dinner a few moths ago, it honestly felt like years.

"Oh, my god we signed up for that so long ago. I completely forgot." Caroline nods her head," so are you dropping out then?" I turn my glare onto Caroline, all she cares about is wining the pageant and feels threatened by Elena, then fine, i'm going to try my hardest that Elena wins and with that cemented in my mind, Caroline was in for trouble. "I can't." "Her mom was the one that wanted her to enter." "And she's going to with no help from you guys." I was tired and hungry and was fed up so I made my piece and pulled Elena with me as we make our way to the car. I texted Damon letting him know that Stefan wasn't okay and something was up, he texted that he'd let me know and fill me in if he finds anything. I texted him to be careful before I put the phone down and started to back out of the parking lot hoping Damon would get to the bottom of this before something bad happens.

I sat down and ate my salad that Jenna had forced me to eat, when I got home the cartons of ice cream were all filled with salad, in urgency I fled up to my room soon after to check on my stash but she had hit it too, I had never ran that fast in my life and she took my only friend away. I munch down on the leaves in distaste as Elena opens the fridge grabbing a water while on the phone. "I didn't even know the contest was coming up, much less that I would be in it." Elena sat down next to me on the bar stools in the island after finishing the call. "So he's gonna escort you?" Her smile lights up her face,"yes." I nod my head thinking of all the things I could do to Jenna for taking my ice cream away. I looked down at my phone once again, I was worried Damon hadn't gotten back to me about Stefan.

I sat in one of the only tables left in the cafeteria and watched Stefan and Elena dance the famous dance. I had memorized it when I was young, I always thought I would participate but I didn't want to take the spotlight from my sister so I told my mother that Elena would be better at it than me. I hear a buzz as I look down to my phone, Damon had texted and had let me know things weren't good and that he would talk to me in a little, preferring Stefan not know that I know. Elena and Stefan were fooling around and were annoying Carol as she explained why they shouldn't touch until the end of the dance, I found it very romantic but would never tell anyone, no one had to know I was a hopeless Romantic.  

I opened the door to Alaric as Elena and Jenna were rushing to get the things ready to take to the Lockwood mansion, I gave Alaric a respectful nod to him and he made his way in to the house. Jeremy looks over to Alaric and gives his hand a shake, "aww look my future uncle and brother are getting along." Jenna quickly turns around while she's gathering her things, "Eliza Rose Gilbert!" " oo she used the full name better run." I look up and glare at Jeremy and smack him on the back of the head as I turn to Alaric, "it's okay she doesn't want me to frighten you away, which I'm very friendly aren't I Rick?" Jeremy shoves me out the door with the others following, "I'm so sorry she embarrasses me very second she's alive." My mouth pops open as I turn to Jenna with a look of betrayal," and for that I'm taking shotgun!" I yell as I hop in the car, I could hear Jenna's groan all the way over here I give her a smile as I buckle up trying not to ruin the short back cocktail dress, I didn't want to out shine Elena today it's her day, she deserves it.

"I'm sorry if your hair doesn't turn out great Lena." I say as i thread another piece of brown hair through the curling iron. "It's okay, I'm just nervous that all." I nod my head," Don't worry sis you'll knock Stefan dead." She laughs as I finished the last curl and grab the hairspray to keep it curled. The one thing I loved about my hair was it was naturally curly, it pretty much resembled the way Elena's looked right now. She gives my shoulders a squeeze in thankfulness. Elena shakes in nerves, "you gonna be okay?" She nods her head, "I just wish mom was here it's would make it a little better." "To late to get cold feet, com on let's get you changed." She nods her head as we head to a spar room for Elena to change. I watch as Amber shakes with nerves when we enter the room, "are you okay?" I ask as I set up the dress and take it out of its bag and place it behind the changing room door. "I hate being the center of attention. I get panic attacks."

"Must be nice." I mutter under my breath as Elena elbows me in the side,"I'm just going to go get some air." I nod my head as I watch her leave the room, shutting the door with her. Elena sighs as she heads to pick up the dress all of a sudden I feel air on the back of my neck, I turn around quickly and face Damon my breath catches in my throat, I didn't even hear him come in. "Hi beautiful." I give Damon a smile as I put my hand on his shoulder and turn facing Elena, "you can't be back here." I give Elena a disapproving look and got to tell Damon we should probably leave, "Damon-" "we need to talk. Normally I would have a completely different outlook on what I'm about to tell you two, but since it can really inconvenience me, I'll squeal." Damon glance at me for a moment, "what's wrong day?" He gives me a reassuring smile and faces Elena once again, " Stefan's still drinking human blood." I knew it, I had the sneaky suspicion that Stefan never quit drinking it. "What?"

"Yeah a month ago I would have rejoiced. But with the council back on the alert, it is not a good time for Stefan to fly off the Handle." I give Elena a reassuring squeeze to her shoulder, "I know he's been a little edgy but he said that was normal." "He has a fridge full of stolen blood bank contraband in the house." My eyes pop open I never expected that Stefan would go that far off the handle, I thought he had control I guess we overestimated Stefan's control. "He has no idea what normal is his entire existence isn't normal. Normal to a vampire Is drinking human blood. But he spent all this time fighting it, when he should have been learning to control it. Now it's controlling him instead." I sit down next to Elena on the couch with shock for what Damon had just said. I look over to Elena this was not going to be good. "He's not going to want to stop trust me." "....I'm the one who fed him my blood in the first place." The door opens as I jump and stand behind Damon, Stefan makes his way in, "what's going on in here?" Damon turns to Stefan, "just filling Eliza and Elena in on your extracurricular activities." "We know about the blood Stefan." "I'm gonna be downstairs." I nod my head at Damon and turn to follow but Elena holds me back, Damon glances at me as he's at the door.

"I'll be down in a minute Day." He nods his head as he walks out the door. "I was going to tell you. I'm fine." I go and sit on the dresser as Stefan gets close knowing I'm close enough to step in In case anything happens. "Elena let's go the line ups starting." Elena nods her head, "I'll be down in a minute." Carol nodes her head and takes Stefan out. Elena takes the dress and pushes it onto me, "get changed hurry."

I give her a confused look as she takes her hair pins out and start putting them in my hair, "Wait what are we doing? You're supposed to be the one going down." "I know I'm sorry I can't I need time to think, just hand me your dress and no one will know." "Elena-" I start as I turn towards her, I look into her eyes as she pleading with me, "please Liz." I give in and nod my head," alright I go out but you owe me a jug of ice cream."

She laughs as she finishes putting the pins in my hair, I quickly swap dresses with Elena. I look into the mirror, we were identical now no one could tell. Elena had gone down the servants stairway with out being noticed so no one could catch on. I take a breath and walk out getting behind Caroline,we were the last two left on the stairs. I can't believe she's making Me do this. "Do you see Stefan down there?" I ask Caroline as she was closer to the stairway, "no he's not." "Where's Matt?"I ask as I run my hands down the dress trying to control my nerves. "He had to work so I had to have a fill in." I nod my head as she gets to the front of the stairs.

"Ms. Caroline Forbes and her escort Jeffrey Lockwood Hamilton." "See you on the other side." I nod my head as I watch Caroline descend the stairs, "holly shit." I say under my breath as I face the stairs, I was about to be pissed beyond belief if Stefan stood me up, I'd kick his ass. "Ms. Elena Gilbert escorted by Mr. Stefan Salvatore." I gave a smile to the audience as I started to make my way down the stairs, "I'm going to kick your little ass Stefan I hope you hear this." I mutter as I'm halfway down the stairs, my fear starts to wash over me, I didn't know what to do if Stefan wasn't going to come i can't believe I was talked into this maybe if I turn back and run up the stairs no one will notice.

I looked down as I had about eight stairs left, all of a sudden Damon steps up in my line of sight right next to the stairs, my body fills with relief as I smile at him. When I reach him he gives me his arm as we make our way to the patio. "You know I thought you said you'd be down in a minute."I look at him shocked, "how did you know?"

"I always know who you are. Plus The freckle on your boob gave you away." I give him a laugh as we make our way passed Jeremy, "hey asshole you got shit on your shoes." Jeremy looks down to check his shoes as I kick him in the ass and send him to the ground, I laugh as we make our way to the patio. I can't believe I was going to dance again with this beautiful man. I stare at his eyes I knew he could give me the confidence to get through this. Our right hands extend at the same time as we circle each other our hands not touching but the electricity that was flowing through us made me believe we actually were. "What are we gonna do?" I ask as I circle to the left of him.

"I don't know but we have to get through this first." I nod my head once agreement as we face each other once again, I was captivated by his eyes, he may look rugged and evil but his eyes showed a man that was hurt and was looking for something concrete to heal him, and that's what I'm going to do. We put our left hands up and circle through the right, I could feel his breathing on me, I couldn't think of anything else, I didn't care if I screwed up the dance but just looking at this man that made this dance so electric had sent a burn through me. My breath hitched as we crossed the line and he took me into his arms. I could tell he must have done this dance a million times but I never imagined I would dance this dance, let alone with Damon, I let my smile show through as we circled around the others, I slowly leaned down and put my head on his, just drinking in his eyes, ones I could never forget after this night.

The music starts to come to a close as we break apart, the electricity was still there but I just wanted to be in his arms again. I was brought out of his trance when I heard people starting to clap and cheer, I looked around and smiled, I mouthed 'thank you' to Damon, I was glad he was there to help.

"It is my honor to announce our very own Miss Mystic Falls as Caroline Forbes!" I clap along with the others, "you deserve it." I tell her as I make my way off stage to find Elena and Damon talking. "Anyone know where Stefan is?" Elena shook her head as I looked up to Damon he was concentrating, he must be trying to hear him, "shit! Follow me!" I picked up my dress as we took off out of the mansion and came to the trail behind the huge home."Stefan!" I gasp as Stefan throws Amber away from him is eyes a dark red and blood dripping down his face.

"Come on Stefan!" I watch in horror as Damon speeds to Stefan only to be thrown into a near by tree, Stefan turns to us, I step in front of Elena. "Hey Stef my man, umm how do I put this? I don't taste good Okay! I taste like shit."as  The last syllable left my mouth he was standing in front of me, I push Elena away as Stefan grabs me, "I swear to god if you fucking eat me I'm canceling this friendship!" I was panicking I didn't know what to do Stefan's head shots back before he lodged his teeth into my neck, I scream in pain as I can feel the blood leaving me. He was drinking to fast and I was fading out, back enveloped my vision, "Damon!" I screamed at the last instant before blacking out. But I knew Damon would come I just hoped he got there before I end up dead.

writers note: I know it's been awhile but I wanted to do this chapter justice, the dance was so amazing on screen I don't know if I even hit as good as the one on the show but this episode was so beautiful the way Damon was looking at Elena. This episode was the one that made me believe that somewhere down the road Damon and Elena would get together. I hope you guys enjoyed suggestions are always great and I'll see you next time!
