PREGNANT WARRIOR

Chapter track - Rainbow by Sia

In the years after the war, The Sands was calm. Calm in the sense that Eliza was capable of dealing with every issue that popped up without it leading to a part two of Bedrieël. After the war, Eliza had a burial for Pariah. It was painful but she needed to accept the facts and move on with her life. It was hard but Eliza didn’t cry. She smiled at the skies and prayed that Pariah had made it to the good side of eternity.

The council was tried and imprisoned. The people that supported them had turned to Eliza but she directed them to God. It wasn’t her place to tell them what to do. She could only guide them and help their progress. The years later were silent. No wars, no uprisings, and The Sands had elected a new government; a just one. Then again, it was hard to challenge a queen as strong as Eliza, nobody wanted her as an enemy.

“She would be happy at how far you’ve grown.” Jabarl smiled at the queen, giving Eliza a gentle pat on her back.

“Well, she would have been pissed if I didn’t grow and kept being a crybaby.” Eliza smiled, her eyes starting to tear up.

“Pariah could be quite a fuss but she was a good fuss.” Jabarl smiled.

“From The Sands and for The Sands.” Eliza smiled as she placed her bouquet of white roses beside Pariah’s gravestone.

A few quiet years and Eliza found a noble man. He was the head of a family that had fought beside Eliza. He was an amazing man. Gentle and calm like Eliza.

They courted for a while then got married. Even in marriage, Eliza’s war years weren't over. At least not yet. There were still people who tried to overtake the noble queen but Eliza had experience. She had been trained and she was ready for anything life would throw at her. Plus, she had Jabarl and her husband to help her and hold her up when she felt down.

Bedrieël had been her breaking point but it was also training.  Training for marriage and future problems cause heaven knows Eliza needed all the help she could get. Turns out marriage wasn’t as easy as it looked. Yes, she had her bad times with her husband but in all, she pulled through.

Eliza’s story wasn’t done with just marriage, she was blessed with a child a few years into the marriage - a girl.

Childbirth was painful but beautiful. Who would have guessed the pains of war were nothing compared to birthing a child? Eliza had labored and cried throughout the process, but she came out successful. She had a little girl. It didn’t end there. She had three boys later on. Three boys that reminded Eliza of her father in every way. It was beautiful.

Eliza could feel the love all around her kingdom. She felt happy that she was able to bring such peace and love to life. Now, it was time for another person to leave Eliza’s life.

“Where would you go, Jabarl?”

“I’m going back to my little tent, your highness; I’m not royalty. No matter how many titles I am given,” Jabarl flashed his pearly white teeth.

“I know. I’m not trying to make you royalty. I just want to show my appreciation in every way possible.”

“Well, queen Eliza, your message is loud and clear.”

“Thank you, Jabarl.” Eliza hugged her adviser.

”Take care of your children and your husband, Eliza, the kingdom you fought so valiantly for, and take care of yourself, Eliza.” Jabarl drummed his chest. “Speak battle, my queen!” Jabarl stomped his feet hard on the ground.

“Goodbye Jabarl.”

Raising her children and being there for her family were the most beautiful moments Eliza could ever ask for, and a few years later, her husband died. Eliza was closer to a thousand years, so it wasn’t bad timing.

Unlike her mother, Eliza had grown quite tired before she reached a thousand years, so by the time Eliza clocked a thousand, she was on her deathbed and ready to go. Eliza had fulfilled the purpose she was created for, and now it was time to say goodbye.
