Stalkers

After Ned's rather embarrassing attempt to escape my parents, (Mom joined in halfway through, looking ten times scarier than Dad did when I told her about him posting the picture of me throwing an icicle at Chad that spurred my decision to go to the Isle) I wander through the school grounds while everything stays sunshiny and sparkles.

And I almost smile thinking how much Sera would have complained.

Will. Not would have. She's not gone.

Just... Asleep.

I sigh and tuck my hair behind my ears. We gathered people. We won. We won. But why does it feel like everything is worse than ever before?

If I could just get Shrimpy back. Back to the Isle. Back to where that stinking girl belongs.

Though I guess I'm being unfair. Uma seemed to struggle with her choice when she was cornered on the boat during Cotillion. But then her necklace had glowed and she'd jumped.

I shudder, remembering how she'd dragged me under the water.

When will this be over? When do we win?

I lean against the nearest tree and drag my hands down my face. I need... I need to find out what I can do about Sera. But Brit said there was nothing...

Uma. And Ares. I can get them.

I push off the tree, stalking across the yard, and in my anger I don't even notice the flash of red that I should have seen in the corner of my eye.

~Uma's view~ (This is new for me. Bear with meh!)

I glare at Ares. "You're sure this was the right choice to make, Ares?"

He glares right back. "Sure. We needed a fast getaway, righ'?"

I turn back to watch that stupid white-haired freak stomp across the lawn. "Oh, I don't care 'bout that choice. I meant comin' back here."

"Trust me. Ice Pop there'll come lookin' fer us. I want her powers."

"Why hers?"

"Do you got any idear how rare snow powers are? Ever since that bloody stupi' goddess Khione drew back her blessings, less an' less people have 'em." He pushes a branch aside from the bush we're hiding in to watch Ellie open the castle door and slip inside.

I almost snort thinking back to that near-fight scene I'd seen with Queen Elsa, Hades, and that idiot Ned. I can't believe I trusted him to keep the pictures of Elicia hidden for leverage. I'm just glad nobody found out it was me and Harry giving him the pictures of Elicia's tour on the Isle.

"So we're just following her around until.... what?" I demand.

"Until she's alone."

"She was alone a minute ago, you moron!" I almost yell. But I dial my voice back a bit. "Why didn't we get her then? And what difference will her powers make, anyway?"

He glares at me again. "You're kiddin', right?"

"Nope."

He points to the doors Icy disappeared behind. "She has no idea what her powers are capable of. If my uncle is her dad, mixed with Elsa's power, she's virtually unstoppable if she would use 'em right. She has more capabilities than she realizes."

"Like what?"

"Well, fer instance, she can track specific souls. So, if she could figure that out, she could find us like," he snaps, "that. Heat signatures, too, so nobody can ever sneak up on her."

I nod, appreciative. "I'd sure like to have those powers."

He grunts. "Gotta jump again."

I groan. 'Jumping' is when he folds himself into nothing to zip near Elicia. But I let him grab my wrist and twist my stomach into nothing, appearing behind a pillar big enough for both of us. Icy's voice floats towards us.

"...have to find Uma and Ares. They might have some way to get Sera and Arson back."

"How are you going to convince them to do that? Ares obviously doesn't care about his kids!" Carlos says.

"I don't know. But I have to try, Carlos." Stupid girl sounds close to tears. How pathetic.

"Let me come with you! Maybe I can help!"

"No, I---"

"Why did you sacrifice your kids to get away?" I whisper.

Ares glances at me sideways. "Well, fer one, I never wanted kids. I thought I could turn 'em into my personal bodyguards or somethin', but my boy's too stupid. And my girl's too snappish. Won't follow orders. Now shut up, or the girl'll hear us."

I glare at him. "She's ten feet away and we're not exactly quiet. I don't think she'll notice if she hasn't by now."

He rolls his eyes and gestures back to Carlos and Elicia.

"Carlos, seriously, I'm not letting anybody come. I need to find Uma. And Ares. They're the only ones who might know what's wrong with Sera and Arson."

"I get that Ellie, but... What if they get you instead?"

I watch her take a deep breath and hold her hand up. Her palm flickers for a moment the blazes with blue flames and bright white sparks. "They won't." she promises her stupid boyfriend. I see him hug her and then walk away slightly hunched. Then Elicia sighs and turns to our hiding spot, her hands on her hips.

"Okay. You can come out now. I know you're there, Shrimp."

~Back to Ellie's view~

I'd heard them talking while I was arguing with Carlos. I have no idea why they're following me, but I'm glad I don't have to go find them.

They appear from behind the pillar. I can't believe the honestly thought I wouldn't hear  or see them. I keep my hands on my hips as I glare at them. Uma looks slightly angry, while Ares is just grinning.

"Can't imagine why you felt the need to become my personal stalkers." I drawl.

Ares chuckles. "Well, ya see, we felt the need to get back at the little prick in our sides that ruined Auradon's takeover."

"I didn't ruin anything," I say sweetly. "I just recruited some guys who did."

"oh please." Uma rolls her eyes. "Ares, just get on with it. I can't stand when this girl opens her mouth."

"Aw, then I'm doing it right!" I say.

"Oh, shut up! Ares??" Uma demands.

I glance over at Ares, but he's not there anymore. I hear a tiny pop behind me and spin around, twisting my body in a way I probably shouldn't be able to in order to avoid Ares' grabbing hands. He growls and reaches with his meaty paws again, but I throw both hands out and a burst of frost streaks off and at his feet, sticking him to the floor.

I whirl around to catch Uma's wrist as she tries to punch the back of my neck. I tighten my grip and crust her wrist in spiky icicles. She yelps and jerks her hand back, her free hand jumping up to her neck, her eyes filled with hatred as her seashell necklace starts to glow.

"Nuh-uh!" I yell, lunging for her necklace before she does her freaky octopus transformation again. Not that it'd do her much good here, since we're in the middle of a corridor.

But someone grabs me around my waist and jerks me back. I let out an involuntary yell and dig my hands into Ares' meaty arms. I twist around, getting my hair stuck in my mouth as I try to get out of his sweaty grip.

(How is it that in movies, when girls fight, they always still have amazing hair? It's not realistic.)

I hear footsteps coming our way. "Ares, hurry up!" Uma dashes across the room and knocks down a heavy marble statue in front of the door. Someone starts banging on the other side, and Uma throws herself against it. "HURRY!"

"I'm tryin', but it ain't easy!" He spits back, squeezing me harder so that black spots dance in front of my vision. I dig my nails further into his skin and his grip loosens ever so much. I breathe as much in I can and then when I breathe out, I expel my powers as well. A burst of blue fire and white snow explodes from me, blasting Uma and Ares backward, against the door and at Mal's feet. I land on the ground, having to throw my arms out to keep my balance. I blink the spots from my eyes.

"Well! Fancy seeing you two here." Mal says casually to Ares and Uma.

"ARES!" Uma yells, trying to get up but swaying so badly she topples again.

"GIMME A SEC!" He blindly waves his hands around until he catches Mal's ankle. She kicks at him but he pulls back fast, dragging her down. I start running for them, but he lets go and scrambles for Uma, catching her wrist and blinking away in a flash of red light.

"SERIOUSLY?" Mal yells, rubbing the back of her neck. I reach her and help her up.

"Don't sweat it." I tell her. "We'll get 'em back next time. I just can't believe I forgot to make sure Ares was out of it instead of just stuck."

She waves me away. "Ellie, what the heck were you doing? Why were they here?"

"I don't know. They were following me. I was going  to go look for them. make them tell me what I can do for Sera..." I feel my face flush red as I admit it. It sounds ridiculous now. Based on my fight just now, there's no way I would have been able to do anything, anyway.

"Sera? Oh!" Mal brightens. "I forgot! That's what I came here for!"

I feel my back straighten like I've been shocked. "What about her? Is she awake?"

Mal clears her throat. "Not Sera. Arson. He woke up about ten minutes ago. He's asking for you."

hey, so I haven't updated in a while.... BUT. I hope you guys liked my new (most likely failed) attempt at Uma's point of view!

Also! I watched a video that said the new name of Descendants 3. Guess what it is! guess!

THE BIG SLEEP.

It's from a channel called The Things, and I don't know if its ACTUALLY the new title... but wouldn't it be cool? It also had some theories that MOR'DU is Mal's dad... NOT Hades. Wouldn't that be fun!??!

(Also, it would solve my Ellie's-Dad-is-also-Hades-problem...)

Also, I went to Boston a few weeks ago, and I have some things I'd like to address.

ONE: Leo Martin, National Monument of our Forefathers. AMAZING session, and a great tourgiude! Leo Martin and his wife Nancy run a fully-by-themselves business called Jenney Museum, where they tell the TRUTH about how our country came to be. They have a book, too, can't remember what it's called. But look them up! They're an sweet couple, and it was my favorite part of my trip.

Ok. I'm done now. Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, sorry that they're coming slow now, (I'm required to do this stupid online class for summer school to fill my actual school schedule for better subjects. It's really boring and takes up a LOT of time.)

OK. Bye!
