Eli (standing at the elevator door, curiously mystified.) - "So this is what they call an elevator...I'm guessing I just press this here button?"

(The door suddenly opens up and the elevator reveals a large man standing there in a suit. The large man looks like a close brother to both Frankenstein and Tony Robbins.)

Lurch - "You rang?"

(Eli is quite frightened, he jumps back and shrieks like a little girl. Lurch looks down, feeling ashamed that Eli is frightened by his appearance.)

Eli (quickly apologizing) - "I am very sorry, it isn't you that scared me. Well technically it was you, but I just mean to say that I would have been frightened by anyone. You see, I wasn't expecting anyone to be standing behind these elevator doors. Furthermore, I have never been in an elevator, let alone heard of one until today. Thus the unfamiliarity of the entire situation has caused me to feel much more tense than usual, hence why I was so easily frightened."

(Lurch stares at him with a blank expression and nods his head.)

(Eli steps inside the elevator facing directly towards Lurch. A few moments pass and Lurch spins his finger in a circle to direct Eli.)

Lurch (in a deep voice) - "Turn around, you must face the door."

(Eli proceeds to listen to Lurch and turns around as instructed. He then coughs to clear his throat, tugs at the neck collar of his shirt, clearly displaying his discomfort and anxiety.)

Lurch - "What floor sir?"

(Eli looks down at his hand to see what he wrote when Virginia was giving him directions, he sees the number 7.)

Eli - "7th floor please."

Lurch - "There is no 7th floor you dumb-dumb."

Eli (baffled) - "Wait what!?"

Lurch - "There is a basement, a 1st floor, a 2nd floor and an attic."

Eli - "My girlfriend, she um, she babysits here all the time and she told me there was a 7th floor. Not to be rude, but I think she would know."

Lurch (looking at Eli with a deadpan glance) - "She lied to you. I've been with the family for more than 10 years and this home has never had more than four floors."

Eli (still utterly perplexed) - "Why would she have lied to me? About such a trivial thing?"

(Eli grabs his chin and tilts his head as he is deep in thought.)
