Hey everyone I know this story is super early, but I wanted to post it now because otherwise I will forget. Anyways I hope you enjoy if you do vote and comment 💖 also I had no idea which one shot to put this one shot in lol

"Miss Georgie, Mira wake up it's Thanksgiving day!" Elena and her friends call out as Georgie groans looking at her clock. It is five in the morning! Georgie just sighs as she looks to an alarmed Mira. She had ended up watching the kids for Thanksgiving. To the pup's and Lily's disapproval. 

"Guys it's literally five in the morning what are you even doing up?'' Georgie asks as Rascal and Brook jump on her bed looking at Georgie madly. Georgie is just greeted with a picture of a float, and sighs of course they would wake her up this early  for the Thanksgiving parade. 

"It's Thanksgiving Day when can we go to the parade?!" Nathan asks as Georgie sighs. Lily was lucky all she had to do was to cook the food. Which Georgie wasn't too fond about because the last time Lily cooked anything for her she burned it and almost burned the house down, but she had to pick her battles. She couldn't do everything. She just hoped she wouldn't come home to her house being burnt to a crisp

"It doesn't even start until nine you three, we have to leave at six forty five to get good spots for it. Georgie says as she gets up. Mira groans, but follows. She would have to start to make breakfast, but it was still too early since Georgie was a night owl due to her work. 

"Miss Georgie, why couldn't our parents be with us today. It's supposed to be a holiday!" Elena asks as Georgie sighs as none of the parents were able to get off for Thanksgiving. Georgie was barely able to get off the hook this year, but she did. 

"Trust me they wanted to spend Thanksgiving with you guys, but they had to work, but we'll still have a whole lot of fun today, what if we invite Mina and her friends to go. I don't think any of them are busy today this morning at least." Georgie says as the kids nod in agreement.

"Yes please!" The kids say as Georgie laughs. She actually had no idea what the teenagers were doing or if they were even up yet, but she was sure they wouldn't mind coming if they didn't have anything to do. So she called Mina.

"Hey Miss Georgie what's up." Mina asks not at all, sounding like she was tired. In fact it sounds like she was already doing something. That's when she heard a recognizable door close and smiles she was at her friends house.

"Hey Mina are you enjoying a sleepover or something?" Georgie asks.

"Yeah, I am hanging out with Tilly and Lyla for Thanksgiving. My mom and dad had to work and so did Lyla's and since we have to be at the church tonight to serve Thanksgiving dinner we decided it would be easier if we just hung out here. Anyway why are you calling?" Mina asks in confusion.

"I have Elena and her friends and we were wondering if you'd like to join us watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade with us. Lyla and Tilly are welcome to come as well." Georgie tells Mina who sets the phone down and Georgie could hear quiet whispering from the three teens. "You could also have Thanksgiving dinner with us. We'll have enough unless Lily burns it and my house." Georgie calls out.

"We'll come to the Thanksgiving parade, and maybe hang out for a bit, but Lyla says we'll need to leave at three thirty so we can get ready for the Thanksgiving meal at the Corp." Mina says as Georgie smiles.

"Alright that sounds great. The kids will be so excited to see you and I'm sure they'll love to meet your friend group.'' Georgie says as Mina nods. 

"Alright we'll get ready and meet you at West 34th Street at 6:45." Mina says clearly talking to Georgie and her two friends who Georgie could hear groan. Before the phone hung up. Georgie just smiled and looked at the children who looked at her.

 "They are meeting us there." Georgie says as the three kids squeal happily, as they loved seeing Mina, and couldn't wait to meet her friends.

It was now seven and the kids were at their spots waiting for the parade to start and waiting on Mina and her friends. "Miss Georgie when is Mina going to get here? They were supposed to be here fifteen minutes ago." Emma asks questioningly as Georgie chuckle as the three teens we're late, but their only form of transportation was a bike so they were probably trying to find a place to park their bikes.

"Well Emma have you ever tried finding a bike rack on the busiest day of November? Let me just tell you it's not fun." A voice behind them says playfully as Elena and her friends smile and hug onto Mina as Tilly and Lyla backed up as they weren't big on hugs. Especially from random kids they did not know. "Hey you three I want to introduce you to my two friends. Tilly and Lyla." Mina tells the kids.

"Wait your the teen who was on the news a week ago. You're an amazing singer." Elena says as Lyla just smiles and chuckles looking at Tilly who was grinning at the sweet child. Who was nothing like some of the other nuisances they dealt with during programs.

"I like these kids." Lyla says, making Tilly burst out laughing as Lyla barely said that usually Lyla didn't like younger kids. They just weren't her thing. 

"Miss Georgie did you bring any games?" Nathan questions as Georgie shook her head. She had packed everything except for the games, but Lyla was already ready. She just took her Build a Bear backpack off, unzipping it. She then grabbed three stuffed animals from her bag. A fox, a unicorn and a light blue reindeer.

"I don't have a game per se, but I do have toys." Lyla told the kids whose eyes light up seeing the build a bears. Lyla just tossed them over. "Hmm I wonder what else I have in here. Lyla says as she pulls out a Descendants sticker book and a few smaller stuffed animals.

Elena and her friends just smiled as they started to play with them. Georgie just smiled at the teen whose bag was now most empty except for a first aid kit and a notebook and pen. 

"You pack all those stuffed animals in one bag. That's impressive." Georgie told the teen who laughed. Her life as a Salvation Army volunteer always involved her to have toys on hand especially since she did help with the youth a lot.

"Oh that's nothing, I volunteer for youth stuff, I always have to have stuffed animals and stickers on hand." Lyla told Georgie as the three teens started talking about Star Wars and how excited they were to see Grogu as a balloon.

The parade starts a little the parade started about half past min from where they were standing and the kids were super excited as they saw the first floats and balloons appear. "They're coming, they're coming!!!" the kids call out excitedly as they watch the floats. The teens just watch it smiling as they had seen the parade before since they lived here all their lives, but after Tilly and Lyla were past the age of eight they started volunteering with their parents a lot more. And didn't get to watch it in person

The parade continued and the younger kids gape at the balloons! "Look there's Chase from paw patrol!" Elena calls out as Emma nods, but Nathan was paying more attention to the Pokemon balloon. "Miss Georgie how do they make the balloons so big?" Elena questions.

"I don't know Elena, but they're cool aren't they?" Georgie asks as all the teens nod in agreement as they watch the floats move.

After the parade was finished Georgie and the kids drove home while the teens rode their bikes over to Georgie's house as they couldn't leave their bikes behind. Inside the house Georgie smelled turkey and pumpkin pie and sighs in relief; apparently Lily had learned how to cook better, and actually didn't burn her house down. "Hey Lily we're back and thank you so much for not burning the house down!" Georgie calls out as Lily nods to let Georgie know she heard her. 

Georgie sets her bag down as the kids run to the TV to turn on something else. That's when the teens come in panting. I told ya I would beat you Mina tells the other two playfully as they sat down on the chair. "Hey mighty helper do you guys want to watch the dog show with us?" Mina asks as the kids nod.

"Yeah sure, I love seeing all the pretty dogs, and playing guess the breed before they announce it!" Elena says as Mina smiles and turns on the TV putting on the dog show. Tilly, who wasn't very interested in these things just pulls out her phone and starts typing.

"Hey Elena I bet I can beat you at guess the dog." Lyla tells the girl playfully. Elena just smiles and chuckles. She was definitely going to win this. 

"You're on!" Elena says playfully as they start looking at the dogs on the Tv screen, and started guessing.

"I win again, but now we need to go we have to get ready for the Thanksgiving meal at out Corp. Thank you guys so much for inviting us here. Now come on Tilly and Mina let's go." Lyla calls out as the three teens left to get ready for the Thanksgiving meal.

"Well that was fun! Other than the fact Lyla beat me at guess the dog." Elena says her two friends nod in agreement

"Yeah, it was!" Nathan and Emma say in unison as Georgie came in smiling, and the funs not over yet we still have Lily's food to eat!" Georgie says as the kids nod excitedly they still missed their parents, but this was the best Thanksgiving ever.
