Once all the children were seated, a man with a black cloak stood up from the center point of the head table. It looked as though he was preparing to speak as he adjusted his necktie. He soon opened his mouth.

"Welcome, students, to a new year at Elementus Academy. For those of you who are new, this room is where you will feast with your schoolmates - we call it the Grand Hall. Seating is not restrictive, you are free to sit wherever you please. Unlike other magical schools, Elementus Academy does not have any seating plans or sorting ceremonies. As for myself, my name," he said as he made it appear in front of him in a flurry of flames, "is Professor Ignatius Elementus, but you can just refer to me as Professor Elementus. Along with myself, my colleagues will be instructing you in your classes." He smiled. "Here's to a great school year! Let's dig in!" Suddenly the food appeared in another flurry of flames, though nothing was burnt.
