Chapter two
Around the country of Globia all the elementals lost their elemental powers. But also not all of them. Five people lucked out. You see, Saga never finished that spell of hers so she didn't take everyone's powers.
In the land of Peace, two kids kept their powers. First was little Gemma Gen. The daughter of Mr. Gen. She kept the little power she knew of geo. Being only eight years old she only started her schooling a few years ago and was behind on her studies, because of her childish tendencies.
The other child had the power of electricity. His name was Ermir. He was four years older than Gemma making him 12. Ermir is very mobile, being fast on his feet, and teleporting abilities that come with his particular elemental skill.
The other three come each from different countries. Conflagration,Wai, and Verdure.
The youngest of these is from Wai. Her name is Amaia and being from Wai she mainly controls water but she was also gifted with the power of air though she rarely used it. She is very strong-willed and challenges everybody whether that be on the battlefield or on their views.
Next up is a 17-year-old boy named Pele. Being the oldest in his family and a fire elemental he is very controlling and a natural leader. Pele also comes from Conflagration, which is the city of extensive fire and home to many elementals who control fire.
The last one is Bion. A 25-year-old man with the heart of a child. He is very low in his skill level and usually gets everything done for him. His family takes care of him and everything. They protect him from himself too, acting like a child and all.
Gemma and Ermir were both out of their houses, so did Amaia, Pele, and Bion to hear blood curdling cries and weeps of all the previous elemental people. It freaked the youngest of the two and since they were best friends they ran to each other.
"Ermir!" Gemma shouted, running through the screaming crowds. Gemma looked around. People were out on the streets, looking at their hands, screaming. Some of the commons were screaming to make the growing frenzy worse. It seemed that Gemma would never escape the sound until someone grabbed her arm.
The boy brought her back to their treehouse.
"Why is everyone yelling?"
"I don't know."
A swift announcement was heard by a common messenger. "All elementals. Please report to the capitol at once. All-"
"We should go," Ermir said, helping Gemma down to the ground. The flood of elementals storming past them. In the crowd, Gemma saw her mother.
"Mommy!" she cried, but the sound bounce back her words unheard by her mother.
"Let's go," Ermir said, holding Gemma's hand. The two children lived right next to the capitol so the walk was short. As they walked the common folk started getting out of their houses. They seemed afraid of the two children. Like they had a disease.
Gemma waved hello to the ones she knew, but they didn't wave back as normal. This made Gemma sad so her waving arm lay at her side.
As they neared the capital they could hear it before they could see it. Many elemental people were still weeping and screaming. Some of them were walking away from the capital, all of them weeping.
Gemma tried to cheer them up by making a stone wall come from the ground, but it didn't work that well. Only the tips of the stone showed up. It seemed to cheer them up because the little use of elemental power excited them.
Gemma was quickly scooped out of Ermir's connected hand. The pass elementals run toward the capital. The electric elemental boy running after them.
