Chapter one
Saga runs and runs. She's finally free. The years of captivity are over.
Saga runs to the end of a cliff overlooking the emptiness that all evil people go through. The place of misfits. The place where the government moves you when they don't want you anymore. When you hurt society so much that it's better that you're dead, but they won't kill you. No, that's against the country of peace. They remove you.
Saga sneers at the planet she once called home, Globi. She hated everyone one their.
Saga looked around quickly, sensing that the guard could soon be on the look for her. She needed to get away; she needed to get on a transport ship. The only ticket on and off the moon, Lunai.
There.
The cargo shipped landed and would stay there for 30 minutes deliverying food and such. It only came once a month, every 30 days. Saga's calculations were correct.
Saga dashed over to the cargo ship making sure she wasn't in anyone's eyesight. She needed a disguise. She wanted to get one of the delivery people's outfits, but she couldn't in the many years she stayed on Lunai. A big tarp caught her eye.
Saga quickly hid under it making it look like it was covering an empty box.
The guards ran into the same ship seconds later. Saga could hear them talking to the delivery leader. "A prisoner has escaped and we think that she might be in here. We have to check the ship."
"Yes, yes. Whatever you need," the delivery leader said, probably nodding his head profusely.
The guards search high and low looking for Saga on the ship. She could hear their footsteps clicking against the metal flooring.
"Looks like she isn't here," one of the guards said.
"Go check the other one," commanded the other guard. "I'll stay here and go back to Globi. It's my turn to switch out."
Saga mentally cursed.
As the delivery people finished moving the food and supplies into the prison they did their checks and got off the ground, heading back to Globi.
The ride was really boring and Saga couldn't wait to stretch her legs when they landed. She could beat them right up now if she wanted, but that guard would stop her. Make her sleep and give her those... night terrors. Saga shook her head at the thought. She couldn't get those things again.
"Can I get you anything, Honorary knight of Lunai Gen?" the delivery leader asked.
"No, I'm fine," the guard said. "Oh, and you don't have to call me that. Gen is fine."
"Okay, Sir Gen..." It was quite obvious that the delivery leader looked up to Gen. He was a guard of Lunai. Only the best of the best could have such a boring job. The delivery leader wanted to know him. He was part of the famous people after all.
"Sir Gen, how did you become an Honorary knight of Lunai?" asked the man.
Saga could imagine a smile climbing upon his face as Gen answered, "I'm not really that special. I just happen to be born with a gift of two elements. I would really appreciate it if you acted like I wasn't here."
Or maybe he wasn't smiling.
"I just want people to know that it's not by my own achievements that I became a guard on Lunai. I was born for it. I couldn't choose my destiny. It was chosen for me, I only got a few select options of places to guard."
The whole ship became quiet, all onboard eavesdropping on Gen's speech.
"I'm so sorry for assuming. I feel bad Si--Gen."
"It's fine. I was born that way and I have to deal with it."
The rest of the spaceship travel was filled with silence. It was so silent that Saga fell asleep. Her dreams filled with the day she was sent to Lunai. All the screaming, the pain, and the night terrors. Saga woke up with a jolt which made the tarp move. She quickly moved it back to place and waited. No one seemed to notice or really cared.
People were moving.
They weren't flying.
The ship was on Globi.
She had made it.
Saga jumped out of her hiding stopped from under the tarp and started casting her spells at the delivery people.
Fire slashed.
Deadly thorns erupted.
Electricity shocked.
Tiny tornados spun.
Ice stabbed.
Stone steeples unearthed.
Waves crashed.
It all happened too fast. People ran for their lives. Saga was back on Globi and she was going to get her revenge. The last person she saw run out was Gen before she created a final wave and washed him out.
Now that Saga had everyone out and was alone she could cast the spell. The spell to wipe all elementals out and change the 10 percent in to 90 percent. She was going to make everyone, but herself powerless.
Saga started casting the spell, knowing the spell by heart. She chanted and chanted and was almost finally with it when she felt a rock hit her. It was Gen.
The spell went off and Saga got up. Gen moves his hand to her, but nothing happens this time. Saga laughed.
"You can't do that. I took away all your powers. Everyone's powers."
A smile spread across her face.
Gen's face dropped in terror. He ran away, not seeing Saga drop to the floor, coughing.
"Wh-What?" she coughed out, wheezing.
"Let me help you," came a voice. Saga looked over to her side and a young man stood above her. "Colden?" Colden was one of the prisoners of Lunai. He must have escaped with her without her noticing.
"Let me help you."
"No."
"You're weak," he said, still holding out his hand. "I know a place where you can rest. I'm not angry that you took my powers either."
"Fine," Saga grumbled out, taking his hand and escaping through the front and not through the back where most of the people were.
