"Oh." Was all the brunette could manage to say after a detailed explanation from Seokjin. One word almost didn't seem fitting as a response to such a detailed explanation of a rather complex situation. But just learning for himself that this whole time he wasn't actually cursed, but gifted, was something he found hard to fathom in words.

The brunette lent his back against the wall of his living room, lips pursed as he stood tensely in front of six other people. To be quite honest, he'd never had so many guests over all at once, so he couldn't help but begin to fidget with the gloves slipped over his hands.

Eyes darting towards the wall opposite him, the brunette watched as an orange haired male stepped forwards, hair slightly tousled as the tuffs poked out in all different directions. He ran a hand through his hair, attempting to tame it as he parted his lips to speak, "You're not surprised?" he questioned, frowning in the slightest, "Myself and pretty much everyone else found it as a lot to take in."

The brunette simply shook his head, "Honestly... no" he drew in a slow breath as he rose a hand in front of his vision, "I guess I've experienced this ability first hand." he began to explain, examining his gloves as he continued to speak, "I've always known there was bound to be others with unnatural abilities."

The orange haired male simply shrugged, "To be honest, I see where you're coming from." he chuckled, a small spark of warmth emitting itself from the male's expression. "The fact that I was born like this," he shuddered in place, "is creepy."

The brunette rose a brow, "And you are?"

"Hoseok, bearer of Energy." he grinned, slowly bringing up a hand. With one simple and almost effortless gesture, he allowed for a golden flame to dance over the palm of his hand, the light trailing up and entangling itself around the male's outstretched fingers, the soft glow only further illuminating his warm features. The brunette couldn't help but let his eyes glue themselves to the light.

From beside Hoseok, a raven haired male stepped forwards with a sigh, "I'm Yoongi, bearer of Gravity." he uttered, slipping his hands out from the pockets of his jeans. The brunette watched on as Yoongi rose his arm towards a glass of water placed upon his living room table, eyes growing wide as the liquid inside began to ripple and jitter before slowly it began to separate, small orbs of water floating out from the glass. The water sparkled and glistened in the light that seeped through the windows of the cottage, and the brunette found the sight almost breathtakingly beautiful. However it didn't seem that Yoongi was amused in the slightest, keeping a rather bored expression as he dropped the water back into the glass, slipping his hands back into the pockets of his jeans.

After a moment of silence, the familiar blonde haired male stepped forwards, "Kim Seokjin... Time." he spoke casually, his accent strong as his words rolled off his tongue rather soothingly. The brunette didn't expect much of a demonstration, after all, Seokjin had explained earlier that his elemental symbol had been damaged.

So stepping out beside Seokjin, the next male gave a small smile, "I'm Park Jimin... haven't awoken mine yet, but I'm supposedly Nature." he muttered, turning his gaze to the female standing beside him.

Sweeping her lengthy raven hair over her shoulders, she chuckled, "I'm Aurora Lane... Collector of the elementals."

The collector huh- sounded pretty legit. After all, the brunette wasn't going to question the idea of supernatural abilities controlling the galaxy. He literally had the ability to kill people at will... nothing short of supernatural himself.

The brunette took his back off of the wall, lips falling into a thin line as he turned towards the group, "I'm Jungkook... Jeon Jungkook."

With a look of pure relief, Aurora let a smile creep its way over her face. It was honestly a sign of reassurance to Jungkook, he could tell that this girl was nothing short of genuine. The way her smile extended to her eyes and deep into his soul, it was so honest and pure, like for a split second everything stopped and her smile pierced through all of his doubt.

There was a moment of shared silence between both Aurora and Jungkook before her smile slowly fell from her face, gaze trailing over to the single male isolating himself from the rest. Draped in a long black coat, the male's deep blue hair and piercing purple eyes stood out like a sore thumb, a bored expression plastered over his face as he allowed for mist to entangle itself around his hand, wrapping around his fingers as he played with his ability.

"Taehyung."

It was the only word the male muttered, not even sparing eye contact with the rest of the group. Rolling his eyes, Yoongi gestured towards the blue haired male, "He's Ether."

Jungkook swallowed thickly, "So then... I'm Life?"

"Correct." Taehyung responded, catching the group off guard as he finally rose his eyes to meet with Jungkook's. His stare was hard and intimidating, aura like something villainous as he began to stroll over to the brunette's side.

Jungkook didn't seem too phased, somewhat trustworthy of Taehyung after the male had practically saved his life, "But how can I be life... if all I bring about is death?"

Everyone froze, expressions falling as they listened to Jungkook's confession. The group had known that Jungkook would have gone through something traumatic to be in the position he was currently in... isolating himself from society. So like pieces of a puzzle, this sentence was almost like a final piece.

From across the room, Taehyung's expression had almost gone blank, "I guess you're the opposite of me..."

Jungkook furrowed his brows, "What do you mean?"

Drawing in a breath, Taehyung began to slowly make his way towards Jungkook, "You see... the element of Ether has been seen by many to be an element that's dangerous and untrustworthy. It's seen as something evil due to its darker nature." he began to explain, closing in on Jungkook, "But in reality, it doesn't corrupt me. I haven't used it for wrong doing, it's actually quite harmless." he coaxed, raising a hand out towards the book of elements resting on the living room table. With faint signs of swirling mist, the cover of the book opened with ease, the pages of the book slowly flickering over as Taehyung harmlessly used his ability, "But your ability on the other hand is viewed as golden." he let out a laugh, one of pain more so then actual humour, "Like you're God or something... when in reality." Finally, Taehyung stopped in front of Jungkook, bringing his lips to the brunette's ear. And he whispered "It's the most dangerous of all."

"Back the fuck off!" Jungkook barked, slamming a firm gloved hand against Taehyung's chest as he pushed the male away. Taehyung found himself stumble back a few steps, but was quick to regain his balance. Clenching his fists by his side, Jungkook gritted his teeth, "You think I don't know that!?" he exclaimed, gaze falling to the floor, "You think I don't know how fucking miserable this ability is!?" he cried, shaking his head in the slightest, "My whole god damned life was ruined because of my own two hands!" he confessed, bringing his gaze to his shaking hands as he outstretched his fingers. "No..." he chuckled lowly, eyes snapping up to meet with the rest of the group's, "None of you could ever understand."

From across the room, Taehyung was rendered speechless, "I um..." he dusted himself off, words noticeably softer then they were previously, "My job here is done... so I'm off." he waved, turning towards the front door of the cottage.

As the blue haired male turned to leave, Yoongi took himself away from his position on the wall, fists clenched inside the pockets of his jeans as he began to stomp his way towards the ether elemental. Anger boiled deep in his system, it churned within, hungry for revenge on the last time the two had encountered one another. "Wait one second, I ain't letting you slip into a void for a second time." Yoongi grumbled, catching Taehyung off guard as he reached out a hand, going to snatch at the material of the male's coat.

But Yoongi was simply a fraction of a second too late, watching as a devilish smirk crept its way over Taehyung's lips. Swirling out from the wall behind Taehyung, a large portal appeared, one of almost nothingness, a void. It caused the temperature to almost drop a few degrees as wind escaped the swirling black hole, causing Yoongi to bring his arms up to shield himself. From behind him, Hoseok couldn't help but wrap his arms tightly around his now shivering form, orange hair falling into a tousled mess.

Taehyung simply gave a salute, "Maybe we'll see each other again." he chuckled lowly, watching Yoongi's eyes grow wide as he rocked back on his heels, falling effortlessly into the swirling void behind him. And just like that the portal vanished, the mist dispersing as the wind dropped and the air settled.

Yoongi kicked the ground, "Dammit!"

"Everyone, just get out..." Jungkook spoke, abruptly cutting through the tense atmosphere. Aurora couldn't help but soften her stance at the male's slightly softer tone of voice, his words sounding more like words of defeat then annoyance.

From beside her, Seokjin parted his lips to speak, "Jungkook-"

"I said out." he muttered, pointing a weak finger towards the broken door of his cottage. The place was an absolute disaster, objects scattered over the floors and windows shattered, only a few shards of glass still sitting in the window frames. Jungkook diverted his eyes to the floor, "I'm not saying I won't follow later... just give me some time to think about all of this. Please."

Seokjin gave a small smile of relief, "Okay." he responded, stepping past Aurora as he grabbed Jimin and Hoseok by the shoulders, pushing them gently out the entrance of the cottage whilst the rest followed slowly from behind.

In the golden light of the afternoon sun, Aurora was last to make her way to the exit, feet dragging to a standstill as she was quick to turn back towards Jungkook, "Oh yeah- I almost forgot!" she spoke enthusiastically, earning a puzzled expression from Jungkook as she stumbled back to his side, kicking the glass away at her feet. Outstretching a closed fist, she slowly opened her hand, revealing a small dainty silver bracelet sitting in her palm. The chain hooked into a small swirling design, an empty slot in the centre, "Here..." she spoke, holding out her hand towards him. But Jungkook didn't move to take it.

"What is it?"

"I told you every elemental has a stone that enhances their ability... each elemental has a place to store it too." she smiled, pausing before she continued to explain, "Jin has the stone of time in his ring." She took ahold of Jungkook's hands, slipping the bracelet into his possession. "And it looks like yours belongs in a bracelet."

Slightly taken aback, the corner of Jungkook's lip twitched up into the smallest of smiles, "Thanks... I guess."

She shook her head, "Just doing my job," she chuckled, waving off the brunette as she made her way outside the cottage, the warmth of the afternoon sun greeting her.

Jungkook however remained in the dark, eyes cast to the piece of jewellery held in his hand. It had been years since he'd faced anyone, and to be quite honest, years until he'd had any human interaction. Aurora knew what he was capable of, and none the less she didn't hesitate to stand by him.

Jungkook's lips creeped up into a genuine smile,

"Maybe all I need is an adventure."

{Author Note}

I just realised that Yoongi and Taehyung always have beef between one another in my books. In 'The Survivors', 'Outcasts' and now this story. Lordy why do I do this every time ahaha!
