"We can't stay." Aurora spoke up, quickly entering through the front door of her apartment. Yoongi followed closely behind, hands shoved inside the pockets of his oversized hoodie in an attempt to control his newly found abilities.

Closing the door behind him, Yoongi watched on in confusion as Aurora snatched her backpack from the wall, filling it with necessities in a panicked hurry. "Slow down for a sec..." Yoongi piped up, voice still a little horse from being strangled not too long ago, "I seriously need an explanation. All I know is that i've got weird gravity controlling powers, and crazy alien dudes have it out for me!" he exclaimed, demanding an explanation from the female.

Letting out a drastic sigh, Aurora picked up the old leather book from the floor, "Here." she spoke, holding it towards the male, "This is everything I know so far, to be honest I'm just as clueless as you are."

Frowning, Yoongi slipped his hands from his pockets, taking the dusty old book into his grasp. "The Legend of the Seven Elements?" he read, eyes falling over the golden lettering engraved on the front cover, "Is this like some fantasy book or something?"

Aurora rolled her eyes whilst zipping up her bag, "Just read it."

Shrugging, Yoongi opened the book, nose crinkling as the dust stirred up from the worn pages. Skim reading the book's epilogue, Yoongi found himself absorbed in the authors words, lost in a trance as he soaked in the reality of their dying universe. Reading the book was much like being slapped with a wet kipper, shocking to say the least. The book had a vice-like grip on his mind, its twisted reality beginning to challenge his beliefs in the history of the universe. Yoongi's eyes widened, "So the universe isn't dying by itself... it's because the seven stones of reality are missing?"

Swinging her bag over her shoulders and standing to her feet, Aurora nod, "Yeah," she spoke up, pausing before she continued, "I'm still trying to come to terms with it, but you're proof enough that the universe does in fact have seven different elements of reality, each keeping the world in check." she explained, lips twisting into a frown, "The universe began to fade a rough odd twenty five years ago... my guess is that the stones were stolen from the elemental guardians back then."

"But that doesn't make sense." Yoongi uttered, "If I'm the gravity elemental, wouldn't I have memories of such an event?"

He had a point. Apparently these guardians had existed since the beginning of space and time, so why were they here on earth and unaware of their elemental capabilities? Taking some time to think, Aurora paused, remembering all the information she'd already uncovered and coming to just one reasonable explanation, "My guess is something happened to not only the stones, but the guardians as well." Casting her eyes to Yoongi, Aurora rose a brow, "If you don't mind me asking... how old are you?"

Ruffling his hair, Yoongi faced the girl, "23..." he breathed, thinking about it a little before he realised what Aurora was implying.

Snapping her fingers in realisation, Aurora's lip twitched into a smile, "Bingo... your memories were either wiped or you might be a reincarnation."

Shaking his head, Yoongi scoffed, "Lets try not confirming anything we're not sure about yet." he spoke, turning to the front door once he realised Aurora had packed her belongings, "The only thing we can be certain about is that I've got elemental blood running through my veins, and I'm obviously in danger because of that." he spoke grimly, latching a hand against the metal handle and swinging open the front door.

The cool midnight air brushed over their skin as they walked out into the almost starless night. Whilst Aurora began to shiver, Yoongi felt rather calm as they head down the rusted steps of the old apartment building. Yoongi didn't feel the need to take anything other then his phone and wallet. After all, he didn't think they'd be on the run for so long judging by Aurora's clueless attitude.

"Lets just find a hotel in the city." Aurora piped up, guiding Yoongi through the dimly lit streets, "We can lay low for a while." she suggested, clutching the book of elements tightly in her grasp.

Aurora had a theory, that opening the book is what might've triggered their location. If people were desperate enough to hunt Yoongi down, why weren't they in pursuit of them now? Aurora had to believe that it was either the book, or the use of Yoongi's abilities that sent out their location, so making a deal, Yoongi agreed to refrain from using his ability whilst Aurora wouldn't open the book.

Earrings shimmering in the soft light of the moon, Yoongi peered outside the window of the hotel. With nothing but student loans, they could only afford to stay in a rundown part of Seoul, a cheap city street. Letting a breath of frosty air leave is doll like lips, Yoongi cast his eyes to the faintly glowing moon, a tiny speck amongst the stars as it drifted away from the earth's orbit with each passing day. He couldn't help but let his arm reach out the window, towards the dying stars as he creased his brows into a frown, "Can I really save the universe?" he breathed, voice soft in an attempt to not wake up Aurora who was sleeping soundly on the double bed behind him.

Letting his arm fall limply back to his side, Yoongi shook his head, ruffling his tousled black hair as he moved himself away from the open window, "What am I saying?" he chuckled lowly, walking over to the couch pressed up against the wall, "Who's to say this isn't just a dream..." he yawned.

With tired feet, Yoongi let himself fall against the small couch. He rested the back of his head against his hands, feet falling over the edge of the lounge due to its short length.

There were six other elementals out there. Six other people who may have answers as to why he was born like this. Yoongi couldn't help but feel more confused then when he was born with a crescent shaped marking against his skin. Why was he chosen by the universe? With the power of the gravity stone, could he really be powerful enough to control the forces of the entire universe?

Letting his troublesome thoughts slip from his mind, Yoongi slowly closed his half lidded eyes, allowing himself to drift off into a peaceful slumber.

Aurora awoke to soft sheets and the morning light that trickled in through the blinds. Shedding herself from the remaining glimpses of a dream, her eyes were still shut as she soaked in the warmth of the covers before letting her deep purple eyes fall over the sun's rays.

Softly smiling to herself, she cast her gaze over to the male sleeping soundly on the small couch, curled up on his side as his chest rose and fell at a steady pace. Yoongi's midnight black hair fell softly over his closed eyes, contrasting so heavily against his skin so pale.

Come to think of it, Yoongi's entire being reminded her of the moon itself. So bright against night so black and clouded. Aurora couldn't help but feel troubled watching Yoongi's sleeping form. By allowing herself to be so carefree with the book of elements, she'd brought Yoongi into a world of harm and danger, throwing a massive responsibility on his slim shoulders. She was surprised the male had left his apartment so freely, abandoning his university studies on the small bet that the book was in fact telling him the truth. Maybe she should've just left the book in the library.

Snapping out of her trance, Aurora brought her eyes back to the curtains of the window as Yoongi began to stir in his sleep. Eyes slowly fluttering open, he adjusted his eyes to the newly found light of day. Bringing his tired arms over his head, Yoongi stretched, swinging his legs to the side of the couch as he sat up, "Morning." he spoke groggily as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

Aurora chuckled at the male's bed hair, "Morning." she smiled, still seated cross legged in bed, the soft sheets sprawled over her lap as the golden rays of the morning sun cast it's warmth over her skin.

Biting down on his lip, Yoongi couldn't help but let his thoughts consume him once again, bubbling to the surface, "What now?" he spoke rather bluntly. Aurora's eyes snapped from the window and locked with his.

She frowned, lips twisting in confusion, "I don't really know..." she breathed, pausing before she spoke, "The only thought running through my mind last night was to get out of the apartment, assuming they might return."

Yoongi's expression softened when he picked up the concern laced through her voice. It was obvious Aurora too was clueless, struggling to comprehend the situation they'd gotten themselves into. Letting out a tired sigh, Yoongi rose to his feet, ruffling his bed hair as he faced the girl, "Lets start simple." he stated, trying his best to reassure Aurora, "We know there are six other ability holders out there. We just need to figure out how to find them all." he suggested, deciding it'd be best to not focus on how they'd save the universe until they had all seven elementals gathered.

Aurora nod, "That makes everything sound less troublesome."

Clapping his hands together in approval, Yoongi began to pace himself around the room, "Okay, first thing's first." He piped up, "How'd you know I was an elemental?" he asked, deciding that they might be able to locate elementals based on features or characteristics.

Bringing a finger to her chin, Aurora's eyes lit up when she remembered, "The first sign was when you told me you couldn't feel the cold, but lets rule that one off because that might just be something to do with your ability itself." she spoke up, earning a nod of acknowledgement from Yoongi. "The first real sign was when our fingers brushed against each other. There was a massive serge of energy... an electric shock."

"I remember that." Yoongi muttered, still pacing around the room, "At first I though it was just an electric shock, but it felt kinda different? Like something channeling itself through my veins, it felt odd."

Aurora nod before she continued, "The second clear sign was the marking behind your ear. It glowed during the battle so it's obviously connected to your elemental abilities."

Crossing his arms over his chest, Yoongi stood in place, "Okay then, lets assume that each ability holder has a marking." He brought a hand to his hair, lifting it to reveal the crescent shaped moon behind his ear, "But we can't assume everyone's mark will be in the same spot, yet alone be the same shape."

"Exactly." Aurora piped up, "We can't base it on a marking alone, even though tattoos are extremely rare here in Korea, someone might've just decided to get a tattoo. It might not be a marking."

"I agree." Yoongi spoke nonchalantly, "We need to make sure it's a birthmark and not just a plain old tattoo."

With two different signs to go off of, Aurora remembered that there might've been a third, "I remember when I picked up my book in the apartment, it burnt me." she voiced as Yoongi rose a brow in question. "It cooled down after your battle, I can't be too sure what it means, but it could definitely be a sign."

After a moment of brief silence, Yoongi spoke up, "Alright then, lets keep that in mind as well."

"Right." she breathed, "Any clues would be helpful, also, lets not rule out that they might have different features as well."

Cocking his head to the side, Yoongi gestured towards Aurora's form, "Like your eyes?"

Creasing her brows together, Aurora shook her head, "I'm not like you guys, I've got no markings, no nothing." she stated in defence, "I'm normal."

"No you're not." Yoongi sighed, rolling his eyes as he trailed over to the double bed, taking a seat on the end. The mattress sunk underneath his form as he turned to face Aurora's form, "Don't play dumb, I read the book." he explained, "The last line of the epilogue, it was 'please help us, Aurora.'" he recalled, earning a gulp from the raven haired girl beside him, "Do you know the author or-"

"No." she snapped, turning her eyes out the window, "No, I don't... but I think it'd be best to find him, fast."

Sucking in a fresh breath of morning air, Yoongi rose from the bed. Shuffling over to the window, he brought his hands to the fabric, sweeping open the curtains as he turned his eyes to the sky. Cloudless it was, a sea of blue. "Lets take a breather and get some breakfast." he smiled, trying his best to relieve the built up tension. They were both clearly stressed, struggling to clear their heads after the events of last night. "I know a place downtown, we could walk there?"

Swinging her legs from under the sheets and around to the side of the bed, Aurora nod. "Alright then," she smiled, "Lets go."

So they both head out, tidying themselves up a little as they walked out of the stuffy hotel room and into the fresh morning air.

They quickly head down the streets, the crowd almost non-existent in the early hours of the morning. In the newly found daylight, Yoongi's purple bruising was all the more visible. Aurora couldn't help but let her heart sink, "Are you feeling okay?" she piped up, "You know... after last night?"

Bringing a hand to his neck, Yoongi let his fingers trail absentmindedly over his purple patches of skin, "Yeah, it feels a lot better then last night. It's not a problem." he shrugged earning a nod from the female walking beside him. At least, Yoongi thought he was okay. As a matter of fact, Yoongi couldn't help but feel more alert, more on edge as they strolled freely down the public streets of Seoul.

His white cotton t-shirt blew with the cars that passed by. People were hurrying out of their cars into buildings to start work, some people stopping to chat on the streets. As Yoongi strolled down the footpath he thought about them and their normal everyday lives, soon to be taken away from the effects of the dying universe. Everyone was oblivious to the danger humanity was actually in.

"We're here!" Aurora piped up, snapping Yoongi from his trance as they stopped in front of two glass doors, "You said it was this cafe, right?" She asked, gesturing towards the interior.

Letting his eyes fall over the the wooden sign, Yoongi smiled, "This is it." he confirmed, bringing a hand to the glass door as he gestured for Aurora to step inside.

Thanking him, Aurora let out a sigh of relief as she was engulfed by the warmth of the cafe's interior. The bitter sweet aroma of coffee beans filled her senses as she made her way over to a small table by the window, sliding herself into the wooden chair across from Yoongi. Already knowing what to order, she took a chance to rest, and a moment longer to drink in the aroma of this place.

"Hi!" An unknown voice piped up from beside her. Turning her gaze to the male, Aurora smiled when she realised it was just the barista ready to take her order. He looked like quite a cheerful person, radiating a warm and sunny vibe with his tanned skin and freshly dyed orange hair falling messily over his chestnut brown eyes. The barista had tired eyes, yet there was that glimmer, a nice sign of his good heart. "I'm sorry," he apologises, rubbing a hand against his eyes as he held back a yawn, "I had a rough day yesterday so I'm quite tired."

Aurora saw his spark glow a little brighter, "It's fine really!" Aurora chuckled unexpectedly, feeling a tiny bit better with the interesting personality of the barista, "We had a rough day yesterday as well." she spoke, smiling as her eyes momentarily flickered over to Yoongi's tired form.

The orange haired male gave a hearty smile before slipping his notepad out from his shirt pocket, taking the pen into his mouth as he tugged off the lid, "What might you two be having today?" he asked, voice a little muffled by the pen lid still held between his teeth.

Yoongi placed his head in the palm of his hand, "I'll have an iced americano." he voiced as the male wrote down the order.

"I'll just have a flat white thanks." Aurora grinned, watching as the male finished writing down the two orders.

He smiled, "Anything else?"

With the corner of her mouth twitching in thought, Aurora smiled to herself, "Actually, can we grab one of those brownies up the front?" she asked, gesturing towards the tray on the front counter, "With two plates," she chuckled, gesturing towards Yoongi, "Him and I can share."

Yoongi frowned at Aurora's interesting choice of breakfast food as the barista clipped the lid back on his pen, slipping his notepad back into the pocket of his white button up shirt as he smiled, "Sure thing, it won't be a moment." he assured, bowing to the pair before making his way back behind the counter.

Aurora parted her lips to speak, but was caught off guard when Yoongi took the menu from the wooden table, opening it and hiding himself behind the folder. Aurora frowned at Yoongi's surprising actions, raising a hand as she pressed her fingers against the top, slowly lowering the menu until she saw his face.

His flustered face.

Slapping a hand over her mouth, Aurora stifled back a laugh. "Who's the lucky girl?" she chuckled, subtly scanning the cafe for the sight of a pretty girl Yoongi could be crushing on, but instead, Yoongi rolled his eyes letting out a huff in frustration.

"Who said I was crushing over a girl?" he mumbled, letting the menu fall back down to the wooden table as the heat left his cheeks.

Aurora's eyes widened in surprise, "You mean-"

"Yeah, yeah..." he uttered, rolling his eyes as he rested his head against the palm of his hand, "I'm into guys."

A smile crept and the air grew thick with a tenderness that couldn't help but make Aurora breath slower, deeper, happier. She felt proud Yoongi was so open about his sexuality, and happy that he was obviously crushing on the only other male in the cafe.

The barista.

Speaking of the male, Aurora caught Yoongi flinch out from the corner of her eyes as the orange haired male returned, sliding the two coffee's onto the wooden table, "One iced americano and one flat white." he smiled, causing heat to rise to Yoongi's cheeks once again.

The barista quickly shuffled back over to the counter, carefully balancing a plate against his arm as he brought over the warm chocolate brownie with two extra plates and cutlery. Feeling bad for the male, Aurora extended a hand, "Here, let me help-"

"-Thats alright," the male chuckled, "I'll be fine." he assured, focusing as he slid the plates onto the table with ease. With an impressed look, Aurora turned her attention back towards the orange haired male as he held out a knife and fork, "Here."

Aurora softly smiled, "Thanks." she beamed, reaching out a hand to take the silverware.

Taking the fork into her hand, Aurora felt her skin brush softly against the barista's... and that's when she felt it. It was more than just a slight tingle that ran underneath his skin. No, it was as though someone had attached a wire to each of her nerves, her veins burnt as an electrical current pulsed through her.

"Fuck!" The barista shout, earning horrible stares of disapproval from the customers present in the store as he dropped the fork, withdrawing his hand as he shook it in pain. The fork fell against the floor with a clang as Aurora too withdrew her hand, yelping at the electrical touch. With wide eyes, the orange haired male quickly bowed in apology, "I-I'm so sorry, let me get you another fork..." he spoke, smile wiped clean from his face and replaced with a look of embarrassment.

Aurora had no time to reply to his apology. Instead, her skin had gone ashen, breath hitching in her throat as the male turned and walked away. Her eyes narrowed themselves on the small marking of what appeared to be the sun on the back of the barista's neck, just visibly poking out from underneath his work shirt.

With wide eyes and parted lips, Yoongi and Aurora turned to each other in absolute shock.

And they both spoke,

"An elemental."
