Completely frozen in place, Aurora stood there in shock. Her feet glued themselves to the ground as adrenaline activated her system, diverting blood to her muscles and away from her gut. Something wasn't quite right. This man was dangerous.

It seemed as though Yoongi too had noticed the overwhelming aura of the man before him, towering above them both with his built and muscular form. The male's teeth were sharp, a reptile like tongue brushing against his lips and piercing golden eyes starring Yoongi down like a lone sheep ready to be prayed upon.

"Um... what are you doing in my house?" Yoongi uttered, voice slightly wavering as his heart began to pound against his ribcage, the stranger sending him into a state of panic. Aurora watched on as the unknown male took another step inside, shutting and locking the door behind himself with a devilish grin. She gulped, breath catching in her throat as she finally realised that this man was up to no good.

"Why hello there," he spoke, accented voice deep as it echoed dangerously throughout the room, "I'm just passing through, you see I have some business to take care of." he smirked, large muscular form edging closer towards Yoongi's smaller form.

Biting down on his doll like lips, Yoongi etched closer and closer towards the windows located at the end of his living room, trying to distance himself from the unknown male, "And what might that be?" he asked, letting out a small gasp as his back hit the window behind him.

Stopping a few metres before Yoongi's now trembling form, the corner of the male's lip ticked up into a smirk, a low chuckle emitting itself from the larger male as his golden eyes narrowed themselves on Yoongi, "Elimination." he spoke grimly, smile falling as he reached into his side pocket.

Yoongi barely had any time to react when the male pulled a metallic device from his pocket, the polished silver glistening in the moonlight as it was aimed directly down on his form. As the unknown male pulled down on the trigger, Yoongi swiftly moved his body to the side, barely enough as a bright white ray of burning energy and light shot from the barrel. The energy wave blasted straight past Yoongi's ear, smashing through the window behind him and shattering it into a million tiny pieces.

To Aurora, the flash was enough to nearly blind her. Her muscles were frozen in place but filled with such a tingling pressure as if telling her to run away from this madness. Through squinted eyes, loose forms with colour came about as the world came back into view.

Yoongi was still standing by the now shattered window, hand clutched tightly against his ear as he cried out in pain. Aurora found herself gasping at the trail of warm, thick blood running down Yoongi's pale skin. His eardrum surely burst with the pressure from that blast.

Aurora's lower lip began to tremble as she watched the unknown male raise a brow, "Quick reflexes." he piped up, turning his weapon to the side, "But I'll have you next time" he chuckled, a sickening laugh that sent a shiver down Yoongi's spine.

Heart pumping and head spinning, Aurora managed to notice that the male's weapon had one weakness. It was a one shot wonder, something that could only be fired once before it needed to be reloaded. There was only one chance. She needed to run. They needed to flee.

With heightened senses and a rush of pure adrenaline  Aurora found her legs moving before her brain could tell them not too, quickly dashing to Yoongi's side as she latched her hand around his own. Perhaps fleeing would be the dumbest move, but Aurora had nothing else up her sleeve. It was either going to be to run and escape, or face off against this powerful dude with nothing more then her petite form and a raven haired male who only learnt a mere minute ago that he may or may not have crazy powers.

Aurora's eyes widened as the unknown male finished reloading the silver weapon, getting ready to aim and take fire once again. "Yoongi!" She called, tugging on the male's hand, "We're jumping!" she shout causing Yoongi's eyes to comically widen in disbelief. They had no where else to go other then to jump out of the third story window. Peering over the edge, Aurora knew this was a jump that could easily break her legs, but she had faith in Yoongi.

There was no doubt about it... being able to repel objects.

Yoongi was the Gravity elemental.

Placing all of her faith in the startled male, Aurora placed a steady hand against the broken window frame, wincing as her hand came into contact with the glass. Tugging Yoongi down with her, she leapt over the edge, eyes shut tight as she free fell. It was a millisecond of hell, falling into the unknown. But it didn't last long.

She never felt the ground, in fact she felt light, weightless. Slowly opening her eyes, she took in the sight through her thick lashes, lips parting in surprise. Their feet were mere centimetres above the cold concrete footpath below them, a feeling of relief for both herself and Yoongi. Her entire being had become weightless, powers of Yoongi's effecting her as she tightly gripped his hand. Her hair was floating, shimmering under the soft moonlight as it wavered around her. Yoongi's clothing was floating as well, failing to hug his form as it swayed mystically instead.

Head pounding with confusing thoughts, Yoongi was quick to take in the situation, "Holy shi-"

And they fell.

Yoongi's powers grew unstable as they both dropped unexpectedly to the cold concrete footpath below them. Almost tripping on his feet, Yoongi slapped a hand against his cheek, the slap stinging his skin in the cold midnight air, "I'm not dreaming... am I?"

"No time for that!" Aurora called, realising that she now had a shit tone of explaining to do after all of this was over. If it would ever be over.

Snapping her attention back up to the window, Aurora's heart sunk into the pit of her stomach as she noticed the male beginning to climb up against the window frame, golden eyes flashing through the darkness of the night as he licked his lips with his reptile tongue.

"RUN!" She exclaimed, taking ahold of Yoongi's hand once more as they broke out into a desperate sprint.

With a slower pace, Yoongi found himself taking the lead, clasping Aurora's hand tightly in his own as he dragged her through the moonlit streets. His breathing came in small spurts, hot and nervous. At his side, pale fingers curled into a sweaty fist, swinging forwards as if it would make him faster.

Behind them, they could hear the echoing footsteps of the male taking chase, the jeering laughter of their enemy. Sweat dripped from Yoongi's forehead, matting his midnight black hair against his skin as he sprint, "Please God, let me live." he cried aloud, throwing himself forwards with even greater abandon. His lungs and heart were pumping, but the air didn't seem to be enough as he sprint forwards, panic trembling in his exhausted limbs.

Being dragged along behind him, Aurora's feet slipped outwards against the wet autumn leaves as they rounded the corner, the cold evening air shocking her throat and lungs as she inhaled deeper, faster. With each footfall a jarring pain shot ankle to knee, ankle to knee. Perhaps jumping from that window wasn't such a bright idea, but stop now and it would be all over.

This man was obviously in pursuit of Yoongi due to his elemental status, there was no other explanation. Aurora was positive that if Yoongi were to leave her behind, the male would bring her no harm and instead continue to chase after Yoongi. But why? Why were there people so desperately trying to eliminate the seven elements of reality? It would literally mean the end of the universe! Wouldn't it?

Hearing a whir of energy behind her, Aurora sucked in a painful breath of air as she pushed Yoongi to the side, ducking both their heads as a shock wave of light whizzed over their heads. They were quick to sprint forwards once again, once the beam had passed, looking back at the unknown male as he was beginning to close in.

Yoongi saw a construction sight up ahead, he had to make it there. He watched out of the corner of his eyes as the male gained ground, almost close enough to grab ahold of Aurora's hair. So with once swift movement, Yoongi found his brain working entirely on its own, almost going into autopilot as he picked up a stone from the ground, throwing it directly towards the man.

The unknown male let out a scream of rage and fury as the stone landed sharply against one of his golden eyes. He clawed at his skin in pain as Yoongi and Aurora sprint away, taking their chance to leg it and hide inside the construction sight around the corner. "Quick!" Yoongi shout, ushering Aurora into the abandoned sight and through the structures. They kept to the ground, ultimately deciding to hide behind a few loose metal beams and wood.

The runaways huddled behind the metal, Aurora almost cutting off the blood supply to Yoongi's hand with her vice-like grip. It was deserted, disintegrated and overgrown with weeds. The moon hung smoky behind the thin layer of clouds, no brilliance or silvery light to lessen their darkness.

Yoongi flinched as footsteps began to approach, the noise bringing them a false sense of security. "I know you're here!" the man chuckled, a horrifying noise as his voice bounced off the many beams of the construction sight. "If you don't come out and play, I'll just have to find you."

Aurora gulped, an attempt to swallow her fear as she narrowed her deep purple eyes through the slits of the beams in front of them. Through the thin gap she watched on as the man reloaded the mysterious weapon once again, aiming it towards a large beam. He broke out into a sinister smirk as he pulled down on the trigger. Bringing their hands to their ears, Aurora and Yoongi both protected their senses as a sharp ray of light and heat penetrated the beam.

Slowly lowering his hands from his head, Yoongi's limbs began to tremble in pure fear as his eyes landed upon the damage the weapon could cause. The thick, reinforced metal beam now had a gaping hole in the middle, the edges smouldering and red from the sudden heat. "I know you're an elemental!" The mad man shout, causing Yoongi to snap his eyes away from the beam and back to the man as he began looking around the construction sight once more, "And you need to be disposed of."

Yoongi choked on his saliva, "Disposed of?!"

"Shhhhh!" Aurora hushed, slapping a hand over the male's mouth as she peered back through the beam. If she wasn't scared before, she sure as hell was now.

Scrambling backwards, Aurora and Yoongi backed themselves away from their pursuer as he crept out from behind the metal beams. A confident expression as he rested his weapon over his shoulder,

"Found you."

Through tousled bangs, Yoongi's eyes filled with fear as he began to back away, positioning himself ever so slightly in front of Aurora's smaller form in an attempt to protect her. It wouldn't be of any use though. Compared to the strong and built man before him, Yoongi was nothing but a weakling. He never worked out, didn't eat very well either. He spent his days producing music in his bedroom or studying at university. He had no muscle, was underweight, and was completely unable to control his elemental abilities at this moment. Aurora couldn't help but wonder why Yoongi of all people was chosen as the barer of gravity.

Despite all of that, he had to fight.

It was a matter of life or death.

Stumbling to his feet, Yoongi let his adrenaline course throughout his veins, a pulse sounding in his ears as he rose his fists in defence. The man before him laughed, "You're no match for me," he smirked, raising his metallic weapon to Yoongi's form, "Without your gravitational abilities, you're nothing but a mere human." Yoongi's eyes narrowed in determination as the male began to pull down on the trigger, energy charging the inside of the barrel.

In the split second that followed, the man fired his weapon. Yoongi quickly leapt out of the way, the gravity in his feet causing him to leap a much further distance then he thought was humanly possible. He practically flew through the air, hands landing first against the dirt as he rolled forwards, skidding to a stop against the ground. "Woah..." Yoongi breathed, realising he actually had a lot of different tricks up his sleeve.

Yoongi didn't even have enough time to think as the mad man run up from behind him, harshly gripping a tight hand around Yoongi's neck as he rammed the male's smaller form into the large metal beam behind him.

Letting out a grunt in pain, Yoongi shakily rose his hands to his neck, clawing desperately at the mad man's hands as he tried to pry himself free. He was beginning to choke on his breath, breathing becoming short and painful as the male's grip only tightened around Yoongi's neck. Seeing the commotion from afar, Aurora stumbled to her feet, "YOONGI!"

"s-stay back!" Yoongi rasped out as he extended a hand.

Without meaning to, Yoongi changed the gravity on sight. Aurora felt herself becoming weightless once again as her hair began to float, feet lifting slowly off the ground as she hovered in mid air.

Yoongi was able to suck in a much needed breath of air as the male holding him down was also sent into the air, becoming startled as he let go of Yoongi's neck. With blood still running from his ear, hair matted against his forehead, Yoongi's dark eyes narrowed themselves on the man's floating form.

Aurora's eyes widened in shock as she caught sight of the marking beneath Yoongi's hair. The crescent shaped marking began to glow, brighter and brighter until the entire marking was a blinding white. Aurora couldn't believe she hadn't grown suspicious before, the marking behind Yoongi's ear was no coincidence, it was the marking of an elemental.

With gritted teeth, Yoongi rose his hands by his side. Large metal poles that lay dormant on the dirt ground began to lift one by one, slowly rising into the air. Shock seemed to register in the unknown man's face as he rose his arms defensively in front of him, reaching for his metallic weapon. His face fell once he realised it was no longer in his possession.

"Looking for this." Yoongi smirked, kicking the silver object at his feet.

The man gulped as an expression of all seriousness fell over Yoongi's face. The raven haired male drew his hands back before pushing them forwards with all of his might. The metal poles followed his command, flying through the cold midnight air and landing heavily against the man still floating mid air. The poles piled up, crushing the man as they sent him to the floor in a defeated heap.

Aurora was slowly lowered to the ground, brows furrowing as Yoongi came back to his senses, stumbling a little on his feet with a heavy head. Quickly dashing past the pile of metal poles, Aurora reached his side with urgency, "Oh my god!" she sounded, placing her hands softly against Yoongi's shoulders, "Are you alright!?" she asked, gaze falling over the purple bruise flourishing against his skin so pale.

Rubbing the back of his neck, Yoongi let out a tired sigh, "I'm alright physically," he explained, shrugging off his injuries, "But mentally, I think I'm about to have a break down." he breathed, scrunching his hair in between his hands as he turned to the pile of metal before him. "It felt like a sudden power just rushed through my veins! l-like I knew exactly how to control my ability within that moment."

Aurora took a step back in awe, "Yoongi, your ear-"

Bringing a hand to his earlobe, Yoongi noticed one of his earrings was now very different from the rest, "what the-" slipping his phone from his pocket he brought up his camera, turning on the flash to get a better view. Cocking a brow, Yoongi was taken aback by the new earring hanging from his ear.

A polished silver moon, hanging from a small chain at the end of his earring. "That's new..." he commented, confused as to why a new earring had appeared.

Frowning, Aurora had her suspicions as she closely examined the earring. In the very centre of the moon was a small indented slot. She'd heard from the book that each elemental would only reach their full potential once they were in possession of their elemental stone. It was just a hunch, but Aurora reckoned it was a small empty slot where Yoongi's stone should rest.

"This confirms it." Aurora spoke, lips twisting into a frown, "You're one of the chosen ones."

Raising a brow, Yoongi wrapped his arms around his form, "You sound like some crazy magic lady or something."

Aurora chuckled, "Unfortunately, you're the magical one." she smiled, gesturing towards Yoongi's marking which was no longer glowing. "Yoongi, you've been chosen by the universe to carry one of the seven elements of reality."

Yoongi rolled his eyes, "On any normal day, i'd say you're bluffing." he looked down at his hands, "But this isn't any normal day..." he sighed, coming to terms with the fact that he'd just busted out some crazy elemental powers.

Aurora found herself softly smiling. Yoongi was so tough on the outside, but had a softer personality hidden deep on the inside. He was the perfect man to carry the symbol of the moon. The crescent moon represented the middle ground between the light of the sun and the darkness of the night, a symbol of the soul.

The book was right all along. After years of scientists failing to understand the dying universe, Aurora could now confirm that this world was definitely on the brink of destruction. With the seven elements scattered and the stones of the universe missing, it was up to her to bring them together.

Yoongi was the first,

The element of Gravity.

{Author Note}

Fun fact, I'm getting a tattoo in a month of the moon merging over the sun. It'll represent the two sides of life; the struggles of working hard by daylight, and the dreams and fantasy worlds I slip into during the darkness of the night. It represents femininity and masculinity, light and dark, phases of life and so much more!

I hope you're enjoying this book!

Update soon xox
