Phonica, Jinx, Aneal, Lailoni, and I were sitting at a table in a circle.

Kuzax started the gathering, "Today we will choose who we will work with in combat."

I looked around the room the see him looking at Jinx.

"You are the prince, Kuzax. Who do you choose?" Lohanah said.

"Jinx. She's agile and I need that on my team. If she would like to be on my team?" he responded.

Jinx blushed. "I would be happy too."

"Good. Next is Lohanah. Who do you want to be on your team?"

"Lailoni?" Lohanah stated. He looked at her waiting for a response.

"Yes," she looked really happy. As did Kuzax and Jinx.

"Zaluc?" Kuzax asked.

"Aneal. She would be very good as an assassin," Zaluc said. He seemed very passionate of Aneal.

I wondered what was going on.... Everyone was happy with the choosing. Even Jinx who hates being partnered with guys....

"Ok." Aneal's voice snapped me back to reality.

"Tailo who would you choose?" Lohanah asked. He seemed very curious.

Tailo didn't take a second to respond. "Phonica."

Phonica went from hard as stone in the very second he said he name. "S-s-sure..."

Tailo looked evry happy at her answer.

"Maibah?" Tailo asked. Maibah seemed to be day dreaming or... something.

"Uh, BloodRose," he said.

I smiled. He was so adorable sometimes. And others he was shy and non-talkative.

"Sounds wonderful," I replied.

"Good everyone has a partner," Kuzax said, "Time for training."

"Learn how it's done girly," Zaluc said.

"Heh... Actually we will be the ones learning how it's done. We have yet to understand these girls. We have never had elementals here," Kuzax stated.

All the girls laughed.

"Let's go, BloodRose," Maibah said leading me to a target made of iron.

"What is this?" I asked.

"I want to see if you can shoot your fire bullets," Maibah answered.

"Oh, ok."

I shot 5 "fire bullets". 4 of them missed.

"Not bad," Maibah said.

"Thanks."

He smiled.

"Are you smiling?" I asked.

"Maybe?" he blushed.

I laughed. "I like your smile."

"Thank you. It's not as great as yours though."
