"Steven?" Stephanie queries as her chosen joins her. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong, just, it's been so long since I've actually had to plan anything as big as this." Steven gives a bitter laugh, "no, that's a lie, I've never planned something like this against something as fortified as a government facility."

"Are you worried?"

"Stephanie, so far the government only comes after a few of us and mostly through hunters. If we kill the people at this facility they will come after us in numbers. Numbers we won't be able to match."

"Yes, I know. I've thought a lot about how to go about things. Something needs to be done. They can't kill us, if we take them down before they can attack us then we can avoid casualties and the need to attack them in return.

"I think I know how to do it. It will be very tricky." Stephanie sighs dejectedly. She has big plans actually, but will she be able to do it without killing any of them? That's what has her up at this time.

"I'm surprised you are able to be out here without any of your consorts at your side," Steven murmurs softly as he places his arm around her waist.

"That's why you are here, is it not? To make sure that I'm not alone?" Stephanie asks more than a little amused.

Steven looks down embarrassed at her words.

"It's okay, Steven. I'm just surprised that they allowed you to be the one to come to me."

"We all wanted to, we actually had to draw straws. The others weren't that happy that I won."

"All of you played? I would think that that would be beneath Tracey," Stephanie decides to be amused by his confession rather than upset.

"Tracey was torn between you and talking to Dara." Steven admits sheepishly. "I think he was relieved that he lost the draw. I think, he, well all of us really, are worried about tomorrow. All the plans we made, we haven't found a way to breach the walls without a great deal of death on both sides. That is something we want to avoid at all costs. Only those that are rabid in our destruction need to die." Steven stops talking more than a little upset at what will be happening in just a few hours. Much to the dislike and distaste of the vampires. They decided to do the attack in daylight.

For that reason Tracey made sure that the vampires that are helping them are able to control themselves when fighting in daylight. There were more than a few that were less than happy about the decision. Even more that were absolutely furious when they were told that they couldn't kill the guards.

"Have you looked at the weather report for that area?" Stephanie asks with a secretive smile reminiscent of the Mona Lisa.

"No, I haven't paid attention to the human world lately, I've been caught up in the planning of the facility break." Steven says more than a little exasperatedly.

"Well there is a storm coming off the east and a high pressure that will be hitting that low pressure storm. I can guarantee that the resulting storm is going to be something to write home about."

Steven lets go of her and turns her around. "What?"

"I'm creating the storm system of the century. It should hit about a mile from the facility, if my math is correct any way. I was always terrible at those damn story problems so I had some one else check things for me. They said if the winds stay the same then the clash should take place about a mile from our objective at about the time we want to attack the facility. I can make sure that a super cell forms and the tornado is formed from it. I can control the tornado so that it comes towards the facility and hits the wall in at least two places if not the whole damn thing. I can't control if they are stupid to remain on the wall or the watch towers with a tornado heading their way.

"I'll deal with the electricity. I'll make sure the wall comes down one way or another. I just can't make sure that the guards will get to safety." Stephanie loses the smirk she was holding earlier as she thinks about how things can go sideways in the morning.

"Only you would talk so easily about creating and controlling a tornado."

"It will have to be at least a F3 to do what needs to be done. No one in it's path will be able to survive if they are caught up in the winds." Stephanie whispers this last part. She would feel far more comfortable controlling the twister if she could ride the winds, but it's too dangerous, it must seem natural or the government will come looking for them even more diligently than before. The vampires will be able to give them all false memories, but they need to make sure that no communications come out about her abilities.

"Stephanie, I know that you can do it. You are stronger than any witch I've ever heard of, but still, an F3? Those are incredibly strong winds, far stronger than the twister you used to punish my father."

"Yes, I know. I called one up to deal with the fools sent to capture us. I would have dealt with all the guards if I hadn't wanted to be caught. It wasn't fun, but still I can handle controlling it for a couple of miles before dispersing the storm. I don't wish to cause too much damage to the humans." She wouldn't mind causing some if it means releasing the supers that have been experimented on and kept as lab rats though.

Perhaps that is what she'll have done to the scientist, have them injected with the same shit that they've been injecting the supers with. Seems like a decent punishment. They might not survive having all those injections at the same time, though. Too bad.

"Stephanie?" Steven pulls her back into his arms.

"Yes, Steven?"

"Would you prefer to be alone? I was hoping that we could do something to help keep our minds off of tomorrow's agenda."

Stephanie turns in his arms and smiles brightly at him. "Just what do you have in mind, love?"

Steven leans down and gives her a kiss, "I think you know, damn well, what I'm thinking about."

Stephanie laughs in delight. "I think I can handle that, you might want to let the others know. It wouldn't do to not let them have the chance to join in the fun."

Steven sighs. "I would have preferred having you to myself."

"Steven?" They turn to the female voice.

"I think, you should spend the night with her. I'll be sending Tracey to spend the night with Dara."

"Stephanie, are you sure?" Steven looks deeply in Stephanie's eyes.

"Go be with your true chosen. She needs you even more than I. You need time to strengthen your bond with her."

"I think her bond is stronger than mine with yours is." Steven replies troubled.

Stephanie gently runs her fingers over his face. She smiles, "It's alright, Steven. You were supposed to be with her, you are mine by meddling. Go to her now. I'll see you in the morning." Stephanie tells him and gives him one last kiss.

Steven lets her go and turns finding Rikki watching him. "I'm sorry, I thought you might like some company before you leave tomorrow. I didn't mean to interrupt you two." Rikki stutters out and Stephanie is sure that the woman would be blushing violently if there was enough light to see by.

Steven strides over to her and wraps his arms around her and swings her about. "You are just fine, love. I would love to spend the night with you."

Stephanie watches silently as Steven melts into the darkness with Rikki at his side.

"You didn't have to do that, Stephanie, you could have kept him at your side." Talon appears at her side as do the other elementalists.

"His heart is divided. I don't want him to regret not being with her in the morning. He didn't want to share me, so I sent him with the one that he won't need to share."

"You have a plan about how to enter that prison tomorrow, don't you?" Jet demands also showing up from the shadows.

"Of course I do." Stephanie scoffs at the other storm rider.

Jet looks at her and blanches. "You are the one that's causing the high pressure to head towards that storm."

Stephanie smirks, "Yep. I'll direct the tornado until about a mile past the facility then I'll let it go."

"What else do you have planned that you haven't told us?" Ethan asks resigned.

"I'll be taking out the electricity. I'll do my best to keep the lightning from striking people, but that's a little more difficult than the tornado."

"Shit, Stephanie, even you have limits," Talon starts swearing up a storm.

"I am well aware of that Talon, that's why I don't want our people around until after the storm portion has done it's work. Take them through the underground tunnels to just outside the walls. If it's done right the tornado will have taken down the wall in more than one location."

"Stephanie," Talon has to stop, in awe of  what she's going to do. The timing, the control will require so much that has never been accomplished before and yet, Stephanie isn't even sweating it.

"I'm not worried about what I want to do, Talon, what I'm worried about is making sure that people are where they are supposed to be. I don't want our people taken out by the lightening."

Talon smiles and caresses her face, "They won't, nor will they be in danger from the tornado. I will have underground passages for them."

"Is there a reason we can't just take the underground passages to inside the gate?" Jet demands a little upset at the possibility that they can just skip the dangerous factors and go inside the compound.

"Concrete, they've paved the whole fucking yard. I could still break through, but it will alert the whole facility if I do. We would be sitting ducks coming out of the tunnels. It would be like shooting duck in a barrel."

"I will do my best to make sure that their weapons don't work, and I'd like to knock them unconscious as well. We'll need to take them inside and lock them up. We can't kill them and I don't want them waking up as we are still working on getting the supers out of there."

Ethan nods his head as does Jet, who also has a set expression on his face. Talon has a determined look. Tomorrow they are going head to head with the government. They've never dared before due to how strong the government is in comparison to them.

There is so much that could go wrong.

The government could still take this wrong and come after them, then it will be all out war between the supers and the humans. A war that no one wants, least of all the supers.

But they all fear that in the end it will be inevitable.
