Talon stands nervously next to Tracey. Most of the guards stayed here, they found the quarters and were able to change into the clothes. But not all of the guards were accounted for. He wishes that Stephanie could have remained to make sure that the other guards weapons wouldn't work. But her safety was more important.
One of the shifters that stayed to help fight signals that the first group are in sight.
The gate had been fixed earlier and now was being opened to let the new people in.
The shifters had already left to change. They are more than a little ready to take some vengeance on those that had been abusing them, some for decades.
Talon readies his abilities as the newest people come from the shuttle bus.
He draws in a sharp breath as the last person off the bus is giving off power, he's a witch or at least part of the witching people.
"That last one is new, I've never smelled him here before," Tracey tells him.
Talon gives him a dark smile, "He chose the wrong day to betray his people."
"Are you sure that he's here to betray his people?" Tracey replies genially. "Perhaps you should listen to what he has to say before condemning him."
Talon looks at Tracey with a dirty look, but then exhales. Hadn't Stephanie told him the same thing about Bianca? Didn't her story change the whole history of what he believed had happened to his friend?
"I'll give him the chance to explain, but if it isn't a good explanation then he's yours." Talon says coldly.
"You have that right, Talon?"
"Witches don't have kings like you vampires, but we do have leaders and I'm one of them. Yes, I have that authority."
That makes Tracey look at him consideringly. Two leaders of the supernatural world are bound to Stephanie and are now serving her. A third is her chosen. Stephanie is becoming more powerful than he had realized. He smiles a wicked little smile at this news. Perhaps it is time for the supernatural world to come together and make themselves known. Perhaps more than make themselves known? Perhaps they should make their own place in this world, but the people are already spooked, perhaps if they saw some of what has been going on to the supernatural people for decades.
He will have to talk to Stephanie about the possibility later, but for now they have the new guards and scientists to deal with.
It doesn't take long for the supers to deal with the scientists and guards and they take the bodies away so that the next shuttle won't be scared away by the blood. The witch is taken to a cell and restrained until there is time for Talon to question him. Talon makes sure that evidence of blood is erased as the ground shifts so that the bloody ground is dealt with.
Soon the next shuttle comes in.
Shortly all the scientist have arrived and are taken care of. Tracey finds two, a male and a female and he holds back on killing them. He gets a light of malice in his eyes. "You forced your daughter to become an experiment and allowed the guards to rape her. Some people should never become parents."
The two humans are shocked that one of the freaks dare to speak to them like that. The female sneers at the male before her. "What do you know about being a parent? You aren't even human, you don't have feelings."
Tracey sneers right back at her. "You call me a monster, yet it is you, the supposed human that treats your daughter like she was nothing more than an animal. You had her raped at the young age of thirteen. It was a daily occurrence, multiple times a day until she became pregnant. Then you allowed the guards in to rape her. A child. You call me a monster when she had a miscarriage you once more forced her to be raped until pregnant, and once more let the guards violate her after she was. Then after her child was still born you forced her to get pregnant a third time in two years.
"You have denied her basic human rights. It is bad enough what you've done to us, but even us 'monsters' treat our young with love and care. It is the supposed humans that treat us like monsters. We defend ourselves and so we are the horrible killers. You two have killed more than me. Hard to believe isn't it? Especially since I've been around for more than two centuries.
"You two are what is wrong with this world.
"But you won't have to worry about it much longer." Tracey gives them a brilliant smile. "You will be enjoying the same treatment you forced your daughter to enjoy for the last two years. The difference being, you only have hours to enjoy it all."
With that Tracey motions for the supernaturals to escort the two to the cells. The supernaturals had already volunteered for this job.
"Don't worry, Talon, I won't tell Stephanie that it was your idea. If she asks what happened just don't tell her details. I doubt that she will want to know. But if she does I will let her know that the idea was completely mine."
"I had no intentions of telling Stephanie anything of what we do here. As for the parents of that poor child, I think this is a far more appropriate death than what the others have received. Just don't kill them when it's time to go," Talon tells Tracey.
Tracey looks at him in confusion, "You don't want them killed?"
"No, I want them alive when I destroy this facility. Let their last moments be of absolute terror as they realize that they won't be able to gain their freedom as the earth encloses around them."
Tracey looks at Talon with renewed respect. He never thought that the witch would have such a vindictive side to him.
"Are you only two centuries old, Tracey? I thought you would be far older." Talon says conversationally.
"Oh, I am. I am far older, but I have no intentions of letting others know just how old I am. Just like you have no intentions of letting Stephanie know that you are more than six hundred years old."
"How did you know that?" Talon demands, his power flooding his body and Tracey takes a cautious step backwards.
"Peace, Talon, I have no idea just how old you are, but I do know that the governing board of the witches is made up of those that are more than six hundred years of age. They are the strongest, most cunning and intelligent of the witching people. So if you are on their governing board then that means that you are over six hundred."
Talon narrows his eyes at the vampire king and slowly lets his power lower. "You won't tell her. She is already nervous about how old she believes me to be."
"I won't, Talon, it's not my place to say anything, but you shouldn't hold secrets from your chosen. That will just cause you problems in the future."
"Have you found your beloved, Tracey?" Talon asks as he settles down.
"No, after centuries I'm not sure that she even exists for me. Not all vampires have one.
"You should get started on the facility destruction, Talon." Tracey says as he listens to the screams coming from the girl's parents.
"Yeah, you're right." Talon starts to climb the tower so that he will be able to see the road. Then he starts erasing all signs of the road that had been there. Shortly grass then trees and shrubs take over the previously hard packed dirt road that lead up to the facility.
He finds a reservoir of water not too far down and smiles happily. Yes, he knows what he's going to do with this land once they are ready.
"We need to finish this up soon, Talon. You supernaturals are alright in the sun but my vampires become pain filled and a hurt vampire is a hard vampire to control." Tracy tells him as he comes down from the tower.
"Is their punishment over?" Talon demands.
"Yeah, if you want them to live any longer any way."
"Very good, send out the signal to clear out of the facility. Make sure that witch guard is brought out as well."
"Yes, of course." Tracey sends out his people and soon the supernaturals are leaving the facility as quickly as they could.
"They are all out, Talon." Tracey tells them as they stand at the tree line to the forest.
Talon gets a smile on his face as he causes the ground to open up and the facility falls into the newly opened ground even as the water comes out of the new hole. In less then twenty minutes there was no longer any sign of a building in that location. In it's place is a crystal clear lake and trees and shrubs surrounding the lake giving it a wild natural look.
"Beautiful, Talon. Now to get you back to your love." Tracey would never admit it, but what Talon just did scares the hell out of him. He's never seen any of the witches with that strong of power.
"Talon," Tracey asks as he carries the witch in his arms. One of the other vampires is carrying the witch guard.
"Yes, Tracey?" Talon says fighting sleep. It had been a long day and he'd used a great deal of energy in rearranging the land to erase the effects of the facility.
"Who is the strongest witch that you know?"
"Stephanie. She is the strongest witch I've ever heard of. She would have been able to do what I did, if she was strong in earth, but she's not very strong in that element. She would have been able to erase the road though. She likely would have brought up the lake easily enough had she wanted to.
"She was able to call, form and control a tornado when the hell lab came for us. She was able to take down one helicopter on her own. She took out about half the ground troops on her own."
Tracey swallows hard, his throat suddenly drier than he's ever remembered it being. He has indeed sworn himself to a powerful witch.
Talon looking at him smirks. "Regret bonding yourself to her now?"
Tracey shakes his head unable to speak. "No," he finally manages to get out. "I'm ever more thankful that I was smart enough to do so. She will make a fine queen."
"She is not a queen and will not thank you for calling her so."
Tracey snorts, "A rose by any other name still smells as sweet. She is a queen whether she wants the title or not. She has a leader of the wolves dedicated by bond to her. She has the king of the vampires blood bonded to her. She has one of the strongest witches alive as her chosen and I'm willing to bet the other two are incredibly strong as well."
Talon snorts. "You would be correct. Until Stephanie, Jet was the strongest storm rider I've ever met and he doesn't come any where near her abilities. Same with Ethan."
"How will your witches board take to Stephanie?" Tracey asks genuinely curious as to the answer.
"They will either try to destroy her or welcome her with open arms. I know what will happen if they try to destroy her though." Talon smiles very darkly. There are many on the board that he wouldn't have a problem destroying.
Tracey smiles as well. The blood of witches is very, very delicious and the board will be even more so since they are some of the most powerful. He hopes that Stephanie will allow him to participate in their destruction.
For the rest of their run they are silent.
They no sooner enter the camp and they are surrounded by those that wish to know how it went.
Talon ignores it all as he looks for just one person.
He just has enough time to open his arms and Stephanie is there. He holds her tight to him.
He doesn't have time to even say anything before he finds himself kissing the one person he was missing more than he ever thought it would be possible to miss any one.
