Lyra's POV

We have been flying for a few days now, nearing closer and closer to the Fire Nation.

I was told by my Great-Grandfather that even the mere mention of the Fire Nation would set people in a frenzy. No one even dared to travel into Fire Nation waters in fear. Heck, apparently there wasn't even universal trade anymore, the Fire Nation just took and took. It was really bad for him when he was growing up.

But now, look at what we have going now. Everything was united, technology was progressing, there wasn't a huge dynamic between benders and non-benders like there was was Korra was alive, or any prejudice between the nations. It was peaceful, no wars or battles going on. Yes, there were a couple protests but other than that. It was peaceful.

I glanced over at Wane, standing up before carefully walking up to the front of the saddle and sitting back down. We are incredibly lucky to have been born in this age rather than the last two.

"We are here." I looked over Wane's shoulder, seeing where he was pointing. In the horizon, I could see the Fire Nation Capital. Shena. I gawked at it, I haven't been here since I was little, it was good to see how far they were progressing in completely rebuilding the place, modernizing it

"Wow..." I muttered and he nodded, "It certainly has been a while."

"What are you talking about? I thought you were here last Summer?" I asked him and he shrugged

"It just feels like a long time. Time goes slow for us in the Temple. Not much to do besides train and do even more training. Really boring if you ask me." He informed me. I went to say something but quickly shut my mouth once I saw the flag being rose up high up in the sky by a metal pole

"Ooo, I like the new flag. Fancy Shmancy."

"Of course you would like it, to me, it just looks like a weird deformed elephant." Wane stated with a grunt. I huffed, rolling my eyes

"How the hell do you see a deformed elephant?"

"Because you can tell who it was made by." He teasingly winked at me. I furrowed my brows, thinking for a moment as we became closer and closer to Shena

"Wait... Isn't that-"

"Yep, that's Hotaru's work alright. She was given the task last Summer to make a new symbol for their Nation." He informed me with a light shrug, "That is all she thought about during my visit. She didn't even try pranking me until right before I left back to the Air Temple."

"I still don't see the deformed elephant."

"Trust me, you will when you see her previous concept designs before choosing the one you see now." He directed Jack down onto the ground, landing us near the docks were we could see shipments being delivered from the other nations. Want hopped off, me following after him. I slung my satchel over my shoulder, staring at my surroundings. Thing really have changed for the better for them. We walked until we got to the gate, the guard sniffing before sneezing wildly making me jump

"Bless you."

"Ah thank you." He cleared his throat, "What business do you have here in Shena, The capital of the Fire Nation?"

"We are here to see a friend of ours by the name of Hotaru Min. May we?" I asked him

"Does the family know you are coming."

"As far as I know, no."

"Then I'm sorry to say but I cannot grant you passage into the city-"

"Oi, watch out!" I ducked in time before a rock rammed into the side of my head. I glanced over in the direction only to see the girl we came looking for. Want sneered, groaning

"Really Hotaru?! That is how you get our attention?!" Want scolded her, watching her as she ran along side the top of the wall unit she stood above the guard's post

"Of course frog brains! Also, that wasn't meant for you, Lyra! I was aiming for good ole' fellow Reiner!" She reached down and knocked on Reiner's helmet, who ceased movement. His face said it all, he was annoyed and probably wanted to throw her into the ocean but restrained himself from doing so, as The House of Min would have his head for it- Or actually help him throw her out into the ocean

"Come on in guys, especially you Lyra! Guards, open the gates for my lovely, and not so lovely, friends!" Wane wrinkled his nose, catching Hotaru's small remark aimed towards him. The stone gates opened for us, showing off the city of Shena behind it's doors. Hotaru jumped off from the wall, landing on a well before onto the ground, standing before us

"Welcome to Shena! Enjoy your stay here! Have you guys had lunch yet? Because I know of this fantastic diner-"

"Hotaru."

"Oh! And we rebuilt the old park-"

"Hotaru."

"Then after we can go and-"

"HOTARU!" Hotaru jumped in surprise at Wane and I, furrowing her brows at us

"Okay, no need to shout jeez. What is it?"

"We didn't come here to have a good time Hotaru." Want stated with his arms crossed across his chest

"Sadly not. I would love to do all of those things with you Hotaru, especially after so long. But right now, we need to speak with you and your family, especially your grandfather."

"Which one? I have two grandfather's Lyra-"

"The Fire Sage." She looked about ready to question me but held her tongue. She slowly nodded

"Erm, okay... But can we grab something to eat first-"

"Hotaru!"

"What?! I'm starving!".

Heyo! I apologize for my absent from this story in three months. School started along with the activities that I am in and I'm currently focusing on getting things done, rewriting a novel for the second time to see if I like it enough to actually publish it. Anyways, Hotaru is here! Finally! And now, in the next chapter, you guys probably already know the deal of what is to come, Lyra is going to reveal of who she supposedly is to Hotaru and her family!
