It was a normal day at the cave. Batman, Zatanna, and Red Tornado talking. The team and Zatanna putting things away. I felt a giant wave a dark power surge through me. Dark power, it felt amazing. I gasped and snapped my head up quickly. B.E.M appeared, not like she normally did like sand was forming, but she just appeared like that. I looked around the cave finding that the adults were gone.

"Feels good doesn't it? The dark power." I ignored B.E.M.

"This is really powerful dark magic." I crossed my arms.

We all scrambled trying to figure out what was happening after I said that.

"We've set up a refugee center in the high school gym." KF reported over the com link.

"We can't contact any adult hero, and Red Arrow is helping out over in Europe."

"Guess we're on our own. Kid Flash out."

"Kids world wide are posting the same thing. Every adult 18 or older has disappeared." Zatanna sighed.

"We need you to find the source." Robin ordered.

"How am I-"

"Your father helped us locate Wotan last month."

Robin pulled up a video of Zatara casting the locator spell.

"The words are one thing, I'm going to need help."

"I can help," I raised my hand, "being part demon has its perks. I Can feel the dark energy."

"Robin we're about to broadcast," Aqualad walked in stopping when he was me. "(H/n)-"

"No I get it, having a half demon on the broadcast means she might cause trouble." my eyes switched to black, then turned back to normal. "And you're right, I might. Come on Zatanna."

I pulled her into the living room ignoring the stares from the others.

"Are you alright, you seem different."

"No I'm not fine!" I yelled, "this is so hard! I can feel myself changing. I see it when I choose my outfit, or when I look in the mirror. The copy is everywhere. I want to be good. I really do."

I helped Zatanna practice until she felt like she would be able to cast the spell. We found KF and Aqualad looking at Dr.Fate's helmet.

"We're ready." Zatanna announced.

We pulled a globe and I grabbed Zatanna's hand. I close my eyes and held my free hand out towards the globe.

"Roanoke." I stated plainly.

We were discussing plans when a kid appeared.

"Where did you come from? Who are you?" Aqualad questioned.

"Quick read my mind." The kid ordered.

"He's Captain Marvel." M'gann gasped.

"Just because the kid thinks he's Cap-"

"Gee Wally, do I really have to bring you nachos and pineapple juice to get on your good side."

"My Uncle... is younger than me." I said slowly.

We made a plan between the two dimensions and headed towards Roanoke.

Klarion made a forcefield around himself and watched us struggle with amusement. It sickened me. I screamed in frustration and my eyes turned black.

Klarion noticing this trapped everyone with dark magic. I saw B.E.M appear normally this time.

"Help me." I hissed quietly.

"Can't," she shrugged, "not real. Just your imagination."

I sighed and struggled against the magic only making it wrap tighter around me.

"Look at you," Klarion cooed taking my chin in his hand. I jerked my head away. "So you found out you're part demon. Look at those eyes. You're the most powerful being this world has ever seen, and yet you don't know it. Let's make a deal shall we?"

"What kind of deal?" I asked. The team continued to yell at me saying not to do it, but my demon was winning.

"Join us, join us and we let your friends go, we join the two dimensions together. Or we let you go, kill you friends and let the world stay apart." He offered.

I stayed silent for a moment, it was a good deal.

"Don't do it (H/n)!" Robin yelled.

"So what do you say (H/n)? Self sacrifice is the hero way isn't it?" Klarion tilted his head.

"You really think I'm stupid enough to fall for this." I whispered finally.

"I make a deal and have to follow it, I do believe you know how demons seal their deals." He gave a smirk that sent a shiver down my spine, "Are you really going to put your life before your team, the kids, the adults? Maybe it's all that demon blood in your veins. I know I would save myself, just like you're going to."

"I am nothing like you." I growled.

"Prove it."

"I... I agree, but let me say goodbye."

"Fine."

He released me and the team, trapping us in a large bubble like field so we couldn't escape or fight against him.

I hugged M'gann tightly first. Then Superboy, after that Aqualad.

"Don't let Robin watch me seal the deal, okay?" I whispered. Aqualad agreed then put his hands on my shoulder.

"We will find a way to help you." He assured me.

I hugged Wally next and punched his arm lightly.

"Behave." I ordered. By now tears had started to flow freely down my face.

I moved on to Artemis.

"Tell the team someday okay, they won't be mad." I instructed with a small smile.

"I hope you join the team in my place." I sniffled while hugging Zatanna.

I walked over to Robin slowly, he hugged me before I could say anything.

"I don't want you to go." He whimpered.

"And I don't want to go."

"Then don't." He stated simply.

"You know it doesn't work that way... I will always love you Robin. But I want you to move on okay, see the light with someone else."

He cupped my face in his hands and kissed me goodbye. All the words we didn't have time to say was said in that kiss. When we separated I knocked on the bubble and Klarion let me out of the bubble and I slowly walked to him.

"You made the right choice" B.E.M whispered into my ear.

I hoped Aqualad was covering Robin's eyes. Just as I was going to kiss Klarion to seal the deal he was blasted back. I looked up and saw Zatanna as Dr.Fate.

"No!" I screeched, "you were going to be safe!"

Dr.Fate/Zatanna ignored me and broke the crystal. I sunk to my knees as he trapped Klarion.

"Piece of advice, you have to choose at midnight. Happy birthday." Klarion said calmly before breaking his binds and walking through a portal.

"Fate, let my daughter go!" Zatara demanded.

"No."

"Take me," I stepped forward, B.E.M scoffed and rolled her eyes, "I'm half Lord of Order."

"True, but the demon inside you is untamed."

"Me, my powers are at their prime. You have my word." Zatara stepped forward.

Zatanna took off the helmet and Zatara put it on. I hugged Zatanna tightly.

"It isn't your fault. I should have sealed the deal faster."

I should have embraced the demon.

I helped Zatanna put the last box in her room. She sighed sadly and sat on the bed. I looked at her sympathetically and left the room.

"You should have done it sooner, and this wouldn't have happened. You should have chosen evil." B.E.M told me when I entered my room.

"I know, next time I won't make the same mistake."
