So me and Hope kept training, I trained in magic and she trained in heart and willpower. If we were going back to the second floor we needed to be ready for anything. That battle with that thing that came out of me gave me a huge wake up call, if I want to protect my friends I needed to go all or nothing, I can't have any more close calls like that. Hope has been doing special training with Mr. Heart, she has even learned a few spells that will help her, Flame of Life, Warmth of Heart, and The Embrace of Birth, and I will be there to help her out if she starts to feel the pull of the darkness I'll bring her back.

Hope walks up to me "I don't think I can go back down there again, what if the darkness tries to take me again, what if the darkness tries to take you, what if..."

"hey, hey" I cut her off before she starts to have a panic attack "You will be fine, you will have me and the other champions with you"

"but they might not trust me, I mean the darkness already took me once it could happen again and this time you might not be able to bring me back. I'm too dangerous to be around." Hope is shaking really bad.

I grab her shoulders and look into her eyes, they are full of fear "I trust you, that should be enough to stay in the light"

"thank you Andrew, that means a lot to me" Hope says as she relaxes a little. 

" come on lets go down to the second floor and meet the others " I gently remind her

we get down there and there is people every where, I start to think I shouldn't be wearing my fire hood, because everyone stops and looks in our direction.

"well its about time you got here, its not easy answering questions about you" Jessie runs up and puts her arm around my shoulder and whispers in my ear "why don't you show them what you can do"

"like what do you have in mind" I look at her

"Hmm, your strongest spell" she looks at me

" we could all die" I tell her 

" I got that covered, Jake, martha, a blast shelter if you would please, they're metal mages, they can form solid metal to liquid and back again"she calls to the crowd 

A guy with a beard and girl with grease in her heir move forward and liquid metal forms around them and they start to build up a box for everyone to hide in, when it's ready Jessie and Hope run for cover.

"final form, elemental dragon"  light of multiple colors envelope me and the dragon is formed but it's hard to keep all the power contained and I lose control over it and the dragon starts to stop around and the tail of the dragon hits the box and leaves a huge gash in the metal, so I disperse the spell before anyone got hurt.

the other mages come out and look at the gash "that was 6 inches of solid steel" every one is staring at me and the box with an awed look in their eyes, then I see Jenn, she looks at it like its normal then walks up to me.

"so hows your training going with her" she looks at Hope with a little hint of sadness." I'm sure you two make a great team" she tries to not show it but still has that sad voice.

"she is doing... okay, but she has been training with Mr. Heart so we haven't had much time to practice together" I say. Jenn looks at me with a little smile but I can still see she is sad.

"well we better go see what Chris wants to do with everyone that's here" she walks away.
