After training, me and Hope flopped on to the floor to rest.

"Wow I forgot how tough he is on us" she tries to sit up" ow, ow, nope not doing that" she lays back down.

"I could go for ice cream to cool off, you want to come with me" I say to her

She looks at me and blushes "yeah that sounds like fun"

we get up to leave but before we can "it's good to see you Hope" we turn around to see a girl with torn black pants, leather jacket with spikes coming out of it, and her heir was short but dyed pitch black. 

"Jessie, oh my gosh it has been too long" Hope runs up and hugs her.

"Andrew this is Jessie, she is a lightning mage. And this is Andrew, my partner" Hope introduces us.

" well I've got to say you really hooked this one didn't you. He's cute but not really my type." she checks me out. " aren't you that one who beat Jackal? I've got to thank you for that, he has had a real big change of heart since then"

"yeah, that was me" I say looking at her

"any way I'm a champion back at Thunder Cloud there aren't that many champs since Hope disappeared, most just quit, not wanting the same to happen to them. Well since I'm already here I might as well challenge Lavastone"she remarks with a grin.

" me or Andrew? " Hope asks 

" why not both" she grins

" your crazy" I say to her in disbelief, but Hope just sighs and gets ready for the fight. I guess we are really doing this.

"sorry Andrew ice cream is going to have to wait"Hope says 

that's when Jessie runs at me with lightning sparking everywhere and rams her hand on my chest "shock paralysis" not this spell again. 

" sorry but it is easier to take you both out one at a time" she laughs as she dashes toward Hope.

I start heat up my body to burn away at the circle. Then I get up and shout"first form phoenix"  the circle formed around me then fire swarmed me till I was the phoenix.

she looks at me "so you found your mages tomb also, first form thunderbird, I found mine a couple years ago " yellow lightning swarms her till she is a bird like me only made of lighting. We fly at each other while Hope shoots fire balls up at us. I use them to my advantage, I grab a few with my talons and throw them at Jessie but she just flies around them and tackles me out of the air dispelling both of our spells and throws me down. I hit the ground hard but as I get back up something is strapped to my belt, The Sword of Dawn.

" looks like this is about to get a whole lot more interesting" she says as she reaches behind her back and brings out daggers "meet The Daggers of the Sky" the look in her eye sends a shiver down my spine. She charges at me with her daggers in hand, and I realize that I'm out matched, I can't win.
