"STAR!" Kira screamed dropping to her knees and pounded the school floor with her fists, causing the necklace to lay on the floor under her. Ryo growled using his katana like a baseball bat at this point to knock away the flying balls of slime aimed at him, was this the moment this darkness would win? Could he win this battle on his own? Would he be able to save Star? Growling running forward and aimed a kick to the slime monster's gut, sadly instead of sending the monster flying, it took the full force of the kick without even moving an inch. "Damnit!" He growled quickly pulling away dodging more slime thrown his way, looking up Kira bit her lip as a lone tear made its way down her cheek. Dropping onto the blue gem that made up the necklace, the gem slowly shined and Kira looked down blinking.

"...Are you calling...to me..." Kira muttered lowly picking up the necklace to bring it closer to her face, "...calm like water..." Kira muttered looking around at the battle then back to the glowing gem. Taking a deep breath and slowly standing, Ryo blinked glancing at Kira which proved to be the wrong move at the time. A ball of slime hit him square in the chest thus pinning him to a wall, "Damnit I can't move." He growled trying to pull him self free but not having any luck at all, at this point all hope would seem lost and one would start to pray for a miracle.

Slowly opening her eyes, Kira held the necklace close causing a bright blue light to shoot out and zooming around the hallway. Reaching her hand out quickly grasping the light, sounds of water flowed around the quiet hall and a bubble of water seemed to surround Kira. The slime monster growled throwing balls of slime at her, a huge wave of water rushed out easily knocking them away.

Water fell away showing Kira standing there wearing armor like Ryo but some places were differently shaped and her helmet bore the sign for water, oddly enough it also seem to have a crescent moon shape blade on top of it. Though instead of being red, hers was all blue like the color of the deep blue seas. Raising her hand to her back showed what appeared to be some kind of weapon, holding it out allowed the weapon to unfold and become a fairly sized bow. Pulling back on the string made an arrow of water appear, the monster took a fearful step back yet Kira turned, aiming at Ryo. "Whoa wait a minute! I am on your side!" He yelled trying to move and quickly closed his eyes waiting for something to happen.

"Are you just gonna keep sitting there or what?" Kira asked placing a hand on her hip as Ryo blinked his eyes open to see he was now sitting flat on his rear and all the slime around him was gone, it was like it had been washed away with water from the arrow she had shot minutes ago. Kira turned aiming again, having one eye open and released another water arrow at the ball of slime which attacked before swallowing Star. Ryo stared in confusement as the slime appeared to be melting away. "Huh...Star!" Ryo called out pushing up and running over as Star's head appeared. Coughing feeling air rush back into her lungs while Ryo helped to pull her out of the melting ball, "What happened?" Star coughed clinging to Ryo forcing her body to move away from the gross prison that held her mere minutes ago.

"Well um...I am not sure my self." Ryo said casting his eyes back at Kira who was now facing the slime monster again, Star followed his line of sight feeling her mouth fall a gape. Was she seeing this right? Who was wearing the armor of water? "You who have been mis-lead by the darkness.....allow my water to cleanse thee and return where you're from!" Kira spoke in a calm manner as she pulled back on the bow string again. Both Ryo and Star stared in awe as the arrow shot threw the air with waves of water appearing on both sides on it, hitting the monster head on unleashed a pillar of water then receding into thin air. All that was left was a female student who dropped to the floor out cold, Kira sighed closing her eyes with the armor disappearing along with Ryo's as well.

Turning around opening her eyes only to be met with Star jumping tackling her in a hug, "Kira you're the armor of water! I can't believe this!" Star yelped smiling and pulled back, Kira smiled and quickly connected her fist with the top of Star's head. "Idiot what were you thinking pulling a stunt like that?!" Kira growled out, her emerald eyes sparking fiercely at the young girl who held her head.

"Hey what was that for?" Star growled back as Ryo blinked and a sigh leaving his lips, "How about we talk about this later and get out of here for now?" He asked having both girls turn on him. Minutes ticked by leaving Ryo to help the young female to the nurses office and the other two still fighting behind him, "Alright you both agree to disagree! So for now lets get back to our classes and meet up after school!" Ryo growled out making the girls jump.

They wanted to say more yet the darkening aura from Ryo made them shut their mouths and give a quick nod, the rest of the day seem to drag on for all the students, finally the last bell rang loudly thus releasing the whole student body. "So where are we going?" Kira asked as the trio made their way down the sun lit street, "We're heading to my home and I will give you the same warning I gave Ryo." Star said from between Ryo and Kira.

"Oh? What no touchy your plushies?" Kira joked out earning a chuckle from Ryo and Star growled lowly, "No just the whole flirting with my next door neighbor." Star said in a sweetly tone making Kira do a double take at her. "Just kidding, but my household is different from others." Star said as they made their way up the flight of stairs, the door was unlocked and a black blur shot out.

"Flame damnit!" Star yelled trying to catch the speedy wolf who slid into Kira's legs, "A wolf?" Kira muttered staring down at the black wolf, both seem to stare at each other for hours. "Hey brat who is this newbie?" Flame growled out using his tail to point at Kira, "Sit." Kira said in a low tone making Flame raise his ears. "Excuse me?" He growled which at this point Kira crossed her arms, "I said SIT!" She in a demanding tone, seconds ticked by and the black wolf slowly lowered his rear to the ground.

Ryo and Star stared in shock at the scene in front of them, Kira smiled sweetly making both Ryo and Star take a step back. "So what you're saying is, that I am now an elemental hero and I have to fight this darkness?" Kira asked once they were seated around the table, "Yes and yes." Star spoke taking a sip of tea. "You are the elemental of water, pure and kind, swift yet caution, mysterious along with being mystifying." Star said placing her cup down and Ryo seem to raise an eyebrow.

"What?" She asked making him shake his head as he reached out swiping a cookie off the tray of snacks, "Anyway, now there are two of you and there are still two more to go." Star muttered. "Well you seem to be on a roll right now and do we have any idea as to what this so-called darkness is?" Kira asked sipping her own tea. "The darkness is nothingness, just emptiness and avoidance of life." Star muttered nibbling on a cookie her self, everyone seem to notice the change in Star, "Hey mind sharing whats on your mind?" Ryo asked having reached over placing a hand on her head.

Blinking Star looked between the two warriors, another sigh left her lips, should she tell them? Would it matter that there could be a fifth warrior or was it just her being a worry wart? Or could it mean the end of the hero's as we know it?

"You see there are gems missing from my necklace right?" She said reaching up to unclasp the necklace thus placing it face up on the table, "Yes one for fire and one for water I am guessing." Ryo said leaning his arms on the table. "But what about this spot up top?" Kira pointed out near the top of the star, "That is what has me worried, yet all I ever remember there being is four gems. Not only that, my grandfather only talked of there being four warriors never five." Star spoke crossing her arms.

The trio talked well into the night, wondering if there could be a fifth warrior or not?

Ryo yawned as Kira seem to let a giggle slip from her lips, "Eh? Is there something funny with the way I yawn?" He asked only left to follow her finger which was pointed at Star, who was laying on the table top fast asleep. "I wonder where her parents are, shouldn't they be home by now?" Kira muttered glancing at the watch on her wrist, "She lives alone.....aside from Fang and Flame." Ryo spoke up before moving to carefully pick up the sleeping young girl.

Blinking Kira followed the young teenage boy down a small hallway and to a room where a small bed was set up, gently laying Star down and placed the covers over her small frame body. "You have a soft spot for her don'tcha?" Kira asked from where she was leaning on the wall once Ryo had closed the door or so he thought, "Eh? I don't know what you're talking about!" Ryo grumbled out and walked to where his bag laid.

"I am just an elemental warrior and thats all." He said slipping his shoes on yet wondering where Kira was going with all of this, "Right just like I am, but are you at least friends with her right?" Kira asked slipping her own shoes on. Ryo blinked looking up at the young girl in front of him, he hadn't thought about it, with everything that had been happening he was more worried about keeping her and others safe.

Were they friends? Yeah he had saved her a few times and they hung out at school mostly but pass that.....could they be called friends? Should they be called friends?

"I see, I hope you figure it out soon before something bad happens." Kira's voice rang out causing him to surface out of the depths of his troubled mind, he slowly nodded and watched as she walked out the door leaving Ryo to self and his thoughts.

Unknown to either teenager, just down the hallway and threw a small crack in a bedroom door, laid Star in her bed. Her silver eyes staring at the floor, she had heard them, the whole conversation. It left a heavy burden on her heart and on her mind, she had thought they were all friends but did it seem that they did not feel the same?
