Chapter 9
Meeting Destiny

Cirrus' POV

Its been a few weeks since my sister came to my house. But throughout that time period, I still couldn't get what she said out of my head, "When you meet Destiny, tell her that their is a cure to her blindness, and all she has to do, is find all 7 elemental flowers, and her sight will be restored."

I couldn't help but wonder what any of that meant, and why Destiny would even be blind in the first place. And anyways, Destiny hasn't shown up here yet, so am I supposed to go to her? The farthest place I've went outside my village is the woods I used to live in.

The worst part was, I couldn't even remember if my sister said it was urgent I tell Destiny or not. I decided to make a pot of tea to ease my nerves. Once my tea was ready I sat down on my couch and watched the sunset through the window.

I wonder if Destiny is nice. Is she strong? Brave? When we meet, I really hope we can be friends. Being friends, or even acquaintances with a prince or princess from any kingdom is a huge honor.

I was knocked out of my thoughts when I heard the doorbell ring. I slowly walked to open it while sipping my tea, figuring it was mother. I opened the door ready to greet her after a long day of work, but instead I saw Blaze.

Blaze Chantler, the one I met in the woods, and immediately had a crush on. I felt my mouth drop open in surprise and my cheeks flare with heat. I quickly shut my mouth noticing we were standing by the door of my house.

"Um, hi? What are you doing here, Blaze?" I say awkwardly.

".... Oh... um our friend Caterina brought us here for some reason..." He replied with the same amount of awkwardness. But he stepped aside, revealing none other than my mother. (That rhymes!! Okay back to the story xD)

"Mom?" I say confused. And she looks at me innocently.

"Mom?" They all repeat.

"She's your mother?" another voice speaks, I look over to the person beside my mom. She had bright, rich golden locks of hair, with vibrant flowers tucked in, forming what looks like a flower crown. I had never seen her before in my life, and couldn't help but wonder who she was.

Her hand reaches up to her, finding a place to reassure she as talking to the right person. She places her and softly onto my mothers shoulder and begins talking. "I never knew you had a daughter."

"You never asked." she replies simply.

We all stood there awkwardly for a moment while everyone took in this new and somewhat strange information. "Oh, um, come in." I finally say to everyone. I backed away from the doorway so everyone could make their way into my house.

My mom entered first, hugging me and saying she'll explain later. Then a girl, about my age, with caramel locks and stunning blue eyes. She was wearing a baby blue tank top with white leggings, and a white bandana over her bouncy ponytail.

And lastly, Blaze and the other girl. He had grabbed her hand and guided her into the house while giving me a small, but sad smile. I was kind of upset seeing this.

Were they together?

I honestly hoped they weren't, even though me and him probably wouldn't end up together, considering we both thought we wouldn't see each other again anyway.

Once they were inside the house, I shut the door and turned around to the cluster of people in my living room.

"so... Mother, care to explain?"

"Later honey, I'm going to make dinner for all of us, why don't you all introduce yourselves and get to know one another." she gave us a bright smile, then left for the kitchen.

I sat down in one of the chairs, and let the awkwardness take over. "umm, make yourselves at home." I said and gave them a slight smile. Blaze grabbed the girls arm and directed her to a seat, which I found really strange.

"so um... well, my name is Cirrus Moon, and I am a Wind elemental." I said, introducing myself.

"your Cirrus? Caterina's daughter?" The blonde girl said.

"yes..." I reply. she lets out sigh of relief for some reason.

"My name is Marina Mills. I am a Liquid elemental." She gave me a big smile then elbowed Blaze in the ribs, signaling him to go next.

"Marina, she already knows who I am, we met in the woods a while ago."

"Oh."

The other girl cleared her throat to get our attention, then began introducing herself. "My name is Destiny Stone, and I am the... element princess." she said the last part quietly, as if she was ashamed of her title.

"Your Destiny Stone? The princess?" I said in astonishment, and she nodded her head in agreement.

All of the things Kaydance had said to me rushed back into my head. "Destiny, excuse my rudeness, but... are you really blind?" She sighed, before replying a soft yes that was merely above a whisper.

"um, I have something to tell you then."

"yes?"

"My sister, Kaydance Dreamwalker, told me to tell you that, to cure your blindness, you have to find all 7 elemental flowers." Her head perked up, and a big smile fell upon her face.

"really?" she breathed out, slight tears escaping her dull, gray eyes. "i was beginning to lose hope." she grasped the necklace around her neck hugging it tightly, I hadn't even realized she was wearing a necklace. But when she released the small stone from around her neck I realized just what it was.

It was my destiny stone.
