A/N: Sooooo another chapter for you, and btw, does anyone think my chapters are really short? Cuz' I think they are. when I read other people's books they're like 40 some pages long!! Mine are like 10 pages!!!! HOW DO THEY DO IT?!?! Well, I guess I'll work on it, but I make no promises that my chapters will get longer....

Chapter 6
Awkward Situations

Destiny's POV (yay!! Idk :)

Its been a few days since Blaze and i's argument, and we haven't done much but look at each other briefly. Luke helps me get around, almost like a service dog, but not really. We have frequent talks before bed about nothing quite important, just memories.

I try to avoid anything that would make me upset, or frightened, and just tell him the good memories. like ones about my friends from school, or previous relationships. but every time he brings up something about Blaze and I, I never know what to say.

"So did you ever have any pets?"

"I had a Kelpie once, a horse with a fish tale. Though my brother made me get rid of it since it slightly bit my forefinger. " I held up my finger, no cut or scar on the skin whatsoever.

I remember that horse, what a horrid creature. I heard a small voice say in my head. my facial expression turned slightly worried.

" how do you remember it? That was more than ten years ago. and surely you had not met it. "

" did you just read my mind?" He asked baffled.

"Yes, now answer my question."

"Surely it was in the paper, Kelpie's are extremely hard to tame. having acquired a tamed water horse is highly rare, and rather newsworthy. don't you think?"

I sighed in relief, he was most likely right. But I still looked at him suspiciously.

Soon enough, I was laying in my bed, soon to sleep with Luke snoring on the extra chair. but I found myself lying awake for unknown reasons. and when I finally reached slumber, I still felt as if I was awake.

I awoke quite cheerfully. the sun was blazing almost 100° . And there was no tension whatsoever between any of us during breakfast.

"What are doing today?" Marina called out from the room she was in.

I just shrug my shoulders, finishing off the last piece of bacon. I heard a loud groan of boredom.

"Shouldn't we be trying to find a cure for Destiny?" Blaze asked.

"Yes, but do you know anyone who can make her see again?" She pauses. "no? That's what I thought. so why can't we just have this day to relax and have fun? We can worry about the serious stuff tomorrow. " marina huffed, and everyone groaned internally at her bossiness.

"How about we all play truth or dare?" Thunder asks.

" well, we have no other choice do we Marina?"

"nope."

Everyone began to sit down on the floor or on a chair and get comfortable. I placed myself on the ground, leaning up against the wall. And I was somewhat happy when I felt Luke's soft tail brush up against my cold hand.

"I'll go first. Marina, truth or dare?" I state, breaking the awkward silence.

"dare."

"Hmm. I dare you to---"

"Wait!! No I choose truth!! I know what your going to say." She cuts in.

"Nope, you already picked. I dare you to--"

Another voice cuts in. "I volunteer as tribute!" My head snaps to where the voice came from.

Oh this is gonna be good.

"Okay," I smirk.

"Blaze." now I have a full on evil smile. I can tell he's shivering in his shoes.

"I dare you to....hmm.... eat..... soap." I thought off the top of my head.

"What? I'm not doing that!" He exclaims.

"You have to. its the rules." I say, still smirking in his direction.

"But--"

"No buts! Eat it." I hold out the bar of soap that was handed to me.

"Marina! I saved your sorry ass and you take her side?!" he shouts. Marina snorts then walks away.

Marina's POV

I walk over towards Thunder who is sitting on the couch enjoying this show. I snuggle up against him and watch Blaze eat the soap.

He eyes the bar of soap carefully, as if at any moment it would jump up and nip his nose. he starts moving the soap towards his mouth, but very slowly.

When he finally takes a bite out of the soap, (a very small bite of course), his eyes grow wide, and he immediately starts gagging. His hands try to clear his mouth of the disgusting taste. But while he was in freaking out, the bar of soap flies out of his hand and slides across the floor.

I immediately burst out laughing but he remains gagging and coughing.

"Oh my gosh. Blaze? Are you okay?" Destiny says worriedly.

"I'm sor-" she's interrupted by blaze pulling her into a kiss. She tenses up at first, but then eventually relaxes and kiss him back. It seemed like forever before they ended the kiss. it was like nothing had ever happened , but we all know that it could never be the same between them.

After they finally broke the kiss, they just sat their staring at each other with both confusion, and awkwardness. Then, once they finally started to move and come out of they're paralyzed state, Destiny looked our way and flushed bright red. I smirked, and when I looked over towards Thunder, he was also.

"Uh..." Destiny began scrambling up from the floor to avoid some of the awkwardness. "im... going to uh... go get a.... drink" she stuttered. then she rushed off to the kitchen.

Butt, she don't make it very far, because she ended up slipping over the bar of soap and falling back. consequentially landing in Blaze's lap.

Her cheeks flushed the brightest red you've ever seen. And as she looked up, blaze looked down and smirked at her.

"So, you do like me?" she began to say cautiously, breaking the silence.

"I do, but-" he sighs, finally looking away. "its just that, we- this isn't right. You know what im talking about right? We are never comfortable around each other anymore. but if you want to start over again, I'd be willing to." he says with a smile.

"Of course." she says, also, with a smile.

Blaze then leans down and once again starts kissing her, and all I could think was, jeez get a room.

When they break apart, we all sit in silence. but of course, Destiny had to crush the moment.

"Blaze?" she began.

"What?"

"You smell like soap."

A/N: hey everybody!! So I know I do have an authors note at the beginning of the chapter, but I put that in a while ago. but anyway just to let you know, if you didn't see my message on my message board, I haven't updated because im moving, and I keep falling asleep. (because you all know I only write at night.) blah blah blah, excuses excuses.

And I know some of you want me to update my other books. but my co-writers and I haven't gotten the chance to discuss. (or i haven't been getting along with them.... Grrrrrr)

But I already have something planned for the next chapter in this book. and be prepared for a new character in the next chapter. (purplewillowbird this is your character)

Also just sayin, I know I always have spelling issues/problems, but im using this keyboard and it is very sensitive. and auto-correct is HORRIBLE. so yeah. just sayin.

Who agrees on Destiny and Blaze together (sorta) again?

Who liked Destiny's dare? And what do you think she was going to make Marina do?
