Chapter 14

Basic Training

3 weeks later....

Destiny's POV

"Des, he's not coming back. it's been 3 weeks. and besides, we have better things to worry about. the shifters are getting awfully close, to close for comfort. they almost got you 3 times this week!" said Marina.

"I know.... Im just, worried...."

"Well quit worrying, you need to go talk to your aunt about the whole," she makes a 'rainbow' with her hands, then points to her eyes. "rainbow eyes situation."

"Your right. I need to worry about the present, not the past. I'll go find her." I said.

Marina just nods her head and points in the other direction for me to go. I walk the way she's pointing and soon run into an opening door. I fall down and rub my head.

"Ow!" I exclaimed.

"Oh! Destiny! I'm so sorry! are you alright?" she asks.

"Yeah I'm alright, I was just coming to look for you." I say while getting off the floor.

"What do you need sweetie?"

"I need to learn more about my new powers."

"Meet me in the training grounds in 10 minutes." she says. I nod my head.

I head upstairs and change from my jeans into something comfier and then head down to the training ground. when I get there Auntie Cat is standing there waiting.

"Ok, let's get started. you pretty much know how to teleport, turn invisible, mind read, communicate through your mind, and use multiple elements at once. so let me see you so it again." She says. i nod my head.

I start with invisibility. I focus on turning invisible, then I feel the shock of color wash over me again. I bring my hand up to my face and don't see it, so I know it worked.

"Wonderful, now change back."

I follow her instructions and become visible. next I do teleporting. I think about where I want to go. then I feel a slight breeze and realize I'm on the other side of the training ground. I quickly teleport back.

"Great, if you get used to using these powers, soon enough you'll be able to use them with out thinking about it."

Next I do mind reading. I think about who I want to mind read, which in this case is Auntie Cat, and start hearing a voice, I think about saying hi and it happens. she says hi back. I quickly leave her head and smile at her. I make a flame in my left hand, then take some water out of a nearby pond and hold the 2 opposites at the same time.

Then I drop them on the ground after I've shown her.

"Excellent. Now I know you've had some encounters with future seeing. we'll work on that next." She says.

"Sometimes people can control it, sometimes, it comes when you really need it. and other times, it comes like a big cloud of thought. comes in then goes out. and later comes back in, then leaves again. that's what yours is. and you need to learn how to control it, it might come in handy some time." she winks at me.

"I can't really help you with that one, so you'll have to work on that by yourself." she finishes.

"Why can't you help me?" I ask.

"Because mine comes when I need it. and that's how I've lived with it my entire life, I can't change it now." she answers.

All I say is a simple "oh".

"Ok, continuing on. Past seeing. this one is rather difficult. you have to use the knowledge you already know about the past, to see the past. try seeing your parents wedding day. It's rather funny." she chuckles.

I focus on the details, the people, and the events. then i see it a beautiful building with white decorations and balloons. i see my mom walking down the aisle, but halfway there, tripping and throwing her bouquet into the punch bowl. I found myself laughing at the sight.

The friends and family burst out laughing. and she started laughing also. my dad pulled the flowers out of the punch bowl and held them out to my mom. she froze them so punch wouldn't get every where. (She's an icer) and they became beautiful ice crystal flowers.

She got back up and continued her way down the aisle. when she made it and the whole way, the (sorry I can't remember what the persons called) guy who married couples starts saying things. and soon enough I see my dad frantically searching for the ring.

And once again, the friend and family start laughing again. he chuckles himself. He takes one of the flowers and makes it into a ring, (he's a resourcer) they exchange rings and then kiss. My mom pulls away and hugs Auntie Cat, and my dad hugs his brother.

I come back to reality, and say, "yeah *laugh* that was *laugh* pretty funny"

"Ok why don't we continue this tomorrow. I need to talk to Rebekah." she says.

"Ok, see you tomorrow." I smile before walking away.

Oh what will tomorrow bring....
