Yes, No. Ice Cream?

Marina's POV

Did he really just ask me to marry him? Oh my gosh he did! Wait, what do I do now? Im definitely saying yes, but how? maybe like "I thought you'd never ask?" or maybe just plain "yes" or----

"Marina? Are you still alive? Or are you just a hollow shell?"

I was knocked out of my thoughts hearing Thunder talking and waving his hands infront of my face. I pushed his hands away and gave him a what-do-you-think look. and then just to clarify, I said "yes". he picked me up an twirled me around after slipping the beautiful blue ring on my finger.

When he set me down I held my hand out infront of me, gazing at the ring. I looked back at him right before smashing my lips on his and kissing him. we pulled apart and i looked him in the eyes.

"So what now?" I asked.

"I wonder how Blaze and Destiny are doing."

"He's asking her too?"

"Yep."

"Let's go get some celebratory ice cream!" I yelled.

"Sounds good to me!" he said already picking me up and carrying me to the car.

When we arrived at the ice cream parlor I got mint chip ice cream in a bowl, and he got butter pecan in a waffle cone.

We sat down and started eating.

"So. how much did you spend on my ring?"

"Let's just say, more than I can count."

I gave him the open mouth wow look, if that's even a thing....

Destiny's POV

"Blaze...." I said softly. he stared at me, his eyes full of lust, his red-orange orbs beaming like a flame.

"I don't think I'm ready for this." I placed my hand over the velvety case and shut it gently.

"If I were to marry you now, and the shifters found out, think about what could happen to you. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if anything happened to you. Yes, I do love you, so much. And with the shifters still hunting me down, anything could happen." I took a breathe and wiped away a tear that now ran down my face.

He now stared at me. his eyes full of sorrow, his eyes filled with a light reddish-yellow.

"I understand...... I better get going now." he stood up.

"Just don't come looking for me, and don't get into any trouble. please....."

"Blaze, where are you going? I didn't mean for it to make you run away. I just am not ready yet. please don't leave."

He gave me one last, tear stained look before the train stopped and he hopped off and ran away.

"Blaze!" I called. but he never turned back. tears were now streaming down my face as I sat there.

Blaze's POV

I jumped off the train and ran. I didn't look back. I heard her call my name one last time, which just made me cry even more.

She said no, she turned me down, she didn't want me.

I decided to head back to the castle and grab my stuff then drive over to the next biggest kingdom, the one they'd never expect for me to go, my opposite, Wavia, the kingdom of liquids.

Destiny's POV

"He did what!?!" Marina yelled, attracting some attention at the ice cream shop. "he ran away.... And it's all my fault. I've tried communicating with him with my powers but it's not working, he must be too far away."

"Don't worry, he'll come back, I know he will." thunder said while patting my back. I just stirred around in my melting ice cream, once and a while freezing it again.
