Chapter 7: Lily/Foxy
Lily had ran. Far, really far. Stormy was in front, along with Feather. Stormy- wait,-
"S-stormy, d-did you g-get a n-new n-nam-me?" Lily panted.
"Y-yeah, I-I'm Rose n-now."
"Mom, are we far enough away?" Lily asks, pausing to lick the pebble bits from under her paws.
"Yes," Feather closed her eyes, and mewed, "Lily, can you get some prey?"
Lily ran as fast as she could, hearing Feather giving orders to Rose.
After Lily had gotten the mice, and they wolfed them down, they began to walk.
"Ack!" Lily stiffened as the family padded into a dark place. The air seemed moist, and it was very humid. Bugs were everywhere. Lily shuddered and activated her biome bubble. In her biome bubble, a light forest surrounded her. Flowers of all kinds and scents were spread here and there. Lily smelled a particular scent that stood out to her. It was coming from an interesting silver glowing flower. It vanished, leaving only a trace of silver in the air. Lily wanted to chase the flower, but she couldn't because it had disappeared.
Lily yipped excitedly. They exited the dark forest and emerged into a brighter forest. Lily was happy. Finally, a bright forest! Lily deactivated her biome bubble and looked around.
Three strange animals were waddling around. "Okay this is over," snapped what looked like the male animal. "Stop arguing. We're going to stay here for a bit longer, and then we're going to go to the Starlit Caves. Do we have a deal?" The female animal nodded. The smaller female tilted her head, and then caught sight of Lily and her family.
Feather backed up wearily, but Lily padded forward. "Hi, I'm Lily. Are you penguins?"
"Yes, I'm Icy but you can call me Pengy," said the young female penguin. "This is my mom, Lunis. This is my dad, Orca."
"I'm Rose," Rose mewed, padding up to the penguins. ""That's my sister Lily, our mom, Feather."
"Isn't this place too moist?" Feather asked. "I thought penguins lived closer to the Endless Tundra."
Orca nodded, and said, "We traveled up here. I thought foxes lived in thicker forests."
Lily nudged Icy, and they began to talk. Rose tilted her head and joined in. "We were chased out of our home by a dog. We're going to make a den here, it's nice."
"We were chased by a seal," explained Icy. "Seals are faster than penguins. The only advantage we had was our biome bubbles. The seal lost his."
"Oh," yipped Lily. "This place is pretty cool! It's filled with a lot of flowers!"
"The first time I've ever seen a flower was a few days ago, right here," said Icy. "So I guess we can thank the seal for something, at least."
"Don't thank the seal for anything," snapped Lunis.
"Well excuse me!" Icy shot back.
Lily and Rose shrugged. Lunis waddled away.
"Why is your mom so mad?" asked Rose.
"She thinks we shouldn't associate with other animals," replied Icy.
"Oops," said Rose.
Suddenly, Icy winced.
"Uh...Icy, you okay?"
