Icy saw a strange animal fly by. It was red and it had wings. The thing was very tiny.

"Hello!" she called. The thing took one look at her and flew toward her hesitantly.

"Hey!" Lunis darted in front of Icy. The...bird flew away, frightened.

"Mom!" snapped Icy. "What-"

"We stick to our own species," Lunis snapped back. "You don't know what lies in this place for sure."

"So you don't believe me?" Icy demanded.

"Of course, but we need to be cautious!"

"What did I tell you? We can take a little risk." Icy turned and stormed away from her mother.

A few hours later, Icy heard a scream. She waddled as fast as she could toward the scream. A big creature was attacking. It was yellowish orange, had spots all over it, and was fierce. "A leopard," Icy realized. Orca quickly darted in, slapped it, and darted out. Lunis was dousing the leopard with water. Icy made a cage of ice around the leopard. Orca and Lunis used their powers to push the cage into a river. The cage melted, and the leopard was swept downstream.

"I told you we shouldn't interact with other animals!" Lunis turned to Icy, her eyes wide with fear. "I told it to stay away and it pounced!"

"Well, you were a bit rude," reasoned Orca.

"Well what if I don't care?!" snapped Lunis, storming off. She activated her own biome bubble. That cheered her up slightly. "I miss home. We should go back soon."

Icy shook her head and kept picking flowers.

"Mom, please? Can we try to make friends with the other creatures?" begged Icy a few hours later.

"After we get a bit more used to this place," responded Lunis. She tilted her head. "Mmm...Can I see your biome bubble?"

Icy tilted her head. Lunis stepped inside her biome bubble. Flowers now made a semicircle around a comfortable nest with a few soft feathers stuffed inside. Flower petals lay next to the nest. The rest of the circle that wasn't covered by flowers led to lots of ice, water, and snow to play in. Snow gently fell from the top of the biome bubble, but it somehow avoided falling on the flowers. There was a huge pool of ice cold water in the corner. Beside it was a bunch of ice, perfect for sliding on. Once in a while, melted snow and a little bit of water from the pool ran toward the flowers to water them.

"What are the flower petals for?" asked Lunis.

"I like to play with them before I go to sleep," replied Icy. It was true. The flowers kept glowing silver before night time and gold in the morning. Icy kept feeling a tug toward them, just like she had felt a tug toward the perfect snowflake.

"Icy, do you think that the bubble fits you?" Lunis asked.

"Of course! I've been decorating! Do you like it?" Icy asked.

Lunis tilted her head, "Of course! I just...Why are we here? Can we go back now?"

"Mom!" Icy complained. "We just got here! There are actually flowers here! Chill, why don't you?"

"How am I supposed to chill when this place literally has no ice?" fumed Lunis.

"I don't know, chill in your biome bubble?" suggested Icy.

"The biome bubbles won't last forever! We need to bathe them in starlight during the spring equinox! We have to go, go, go!" fretted Lunis.

"Chill out, Lunis," said Orca. "We have plenty of time. Icy can have a bit of fun. Then we have to go to the Starlit Caves. Lots of other animals will be there too!"

"Oh, that's amazing!" Pengy jumped up and down excitedly.

"I wouldn't be too excited if I were you, missy," snapped Lunis.

"Be quiet," Orca shot back. "You're ruining the moment."

"Oh, so you're on her side?!" snapped Lunis.

Icy sighed and waddled away. She made a little platform for herself that stretched ahead a bit. She slid down.

"A new place," winced Icy. The air seemed a bit moist, and it was really dark. Icy waddled back to her parents. But she couldn't help feeling excited. She felt a change in the air. Some other animals were coming. She knew Lunis wouldn't be too happy but she was.
