When the Sun professed His love for the Moon She wept onto a barren planet.

"My love why do You weep? Do You hate Me so?" anguished Sun. She was crying so much that the dark planet had quickly filled with Her tears.

At His words Moon stops and turns to Him with a breathless smile and open arms, "Beloved, My love for You is as endless as the cosmos." She gestures to the planet, "With My tears this planet can become a home for Life... for Our future."

Sun, once worried, now laughs in relief and rejoices at the thought of a future with Her. "Then I will give Our future Light so that We can see one another." With His laugh, Light surges forward and descends on the planet. Sun takes Moon in His arms, and They look at Their Creation in awe.

The once dark planet glows blue with Moon's tears and green from Sun's laughter.

"What will We call Our Creation, Beloved?" asks Moon.

Sun gently pulls Her closer to Him, "All that matters is that You stay with Me," He tilts her face up to Him with His hand cradling Her head, and brings Her even closer while brushing Her ebony hair away. "You pick my Love" is whispered onto Her lips before He kisses Her.

A bright Silver and Gold Light pour from Their touch and falls on the planet with so much power that the land quakes and cracks which form valleys, canyons, and mountains. The new formations in the once barren land fills with the water from the Moon's tears. The Silver and Gold Light from the two lingers on the planet as if it is hugging it.

Once all is still, the land and twists and forms into a Being.

A Child of the Sun and Moon.

Serenely sleeping while enveloped with Gold and Silver light lays a small baby girl with dark skin tanned from Sun's warmth and hair a dark ebony like Her Mother's.

"She is perfect!" gasps Moon, "Earth. I would like Her to be named Earth."

"As You wish it shall be so, My Love." Sun replies.

And so, it was written in the Stars the birth of Earth and the Union of the Sun and Moon. The two watch Their Child sleep and wait for Her to wake, unknown that Darkness watches. Angry at Their Union and resentful of Their Creation for the planet was under Darkness' reign before being altered by Sun and Moon. He was angry at one of His being taken from Him. Darkness' power was weakened by the loss of the planet and by the knowledge that Moon could no longer be His alone.

The Union between the Sun and Moon was sealed by Their kiss, and strengthened by Their Child, Earth. No Being can sever Their bond as their Love is proven to be true and Eternal. However, it can be weakened.

Darkness reaches out and grabs Earth's shadow and starts to drag Her away from the two Lovers in hopes this will force Them apart.

Moon leaves Sun's arms and moves toward the Darkness who holds Earth's shadow. "What are You doing, Darkness? Give Us Our Child." She demands.

However, by leaving Sun's embrace She played into His hands. While He would not dare to fight both, He knows that Moon's light isn't as bright as Sun's. He also knows that She would be the one to go after Their Child since She can move in His Shadows better than Sun.

Darkness would take advantage of these facts and Moon's compassion.

Darkness covers Earth in His shadowed palms and grins, "My Dear I just want to see My Child."

"Do not call Moon that!" Sun immediately retorts.

However, Darkness ignores Him and continues, "Earth was a Being under My domain—but You, Moon, plucked Her from Me to give to Sun." Darkness sneers His name, "Earth was My Creation before you changed Her from My visage. She was My Daughter first and I will not let Sun ruin My Child."

Darkness does not care about Earth, He is only using Her to force Moon to be with Him. Darkness lets His Shadows envelope Earth, and the sleeping babe curls up from the cold—the Light that once surrounded Her is dimmed by the Shadows. Earth starts to pale and cry in Her sleep.

"Stop this!" roars Sun, "I helped give Life unto Her, so She is My Child! I do not care if She was Yours before. She is Moon and I's Daughter. Earth is ours, not Yours!"

While Darkness was talking, Moon had been slowly approaching Him. The Shadows were causing Her to take a while to get to Him since each step closer to Him makes Her tired. Every passing moment resulted in Earth becoming more and more distraught in Her sleep and if this continued, Earth would Fade and be reduced to Shadows.

Seeing Their Child slowly diminish makes Sun and Moon stare in silent horror. Sun begins to walk to Darkness and wants to release His Fire and Light to cast Darkness away and revive Earth, but if He does that then Moon would be injured since She is sensitive to Sun's overtly bright Light. He must be wary of His true nature around Her for this reason.

Moon knows that if She doesn't intervene, two horrible outcomes will unfold: Earth could be lost to the cosmos if the Shadows don't lift off Her or an unrestrained fight between Sun and Darkness would occur and have lasting damages on all four of Them.

Moon never knew how Darkness felt for Her, only that being near Him would take Her away from Sun. Being away from Sun, her Beloved, would destroy her... but She cannot let Her Child be lost. If Earth Fades into the Cosmos, She will never be found.

Tears of pure Silver, of pure anguish, stream down Moon's delicate skin. Her whispered "Darkness," causes both Beings to stop approaching each other-- easpecially  when They saw Her tears. She had never cried before until She wept on Earth earlier, but those had been clear blue...but this was different.  Her Silver tears were morbidly enchanting.

"What will it take for You to release Your Shadows on Earth" She chokes out.

An oily smile forms on Darkness' face, "I only wish to have possession of Earth... as Her Father I want to see Her grow under My care."

"You foul Creature! If You have Earth under Your care" Sun spits out, "She will die! She was born with the Light of Moon and I, without it She will Fade! Earth needs Moon and I to survive."

"Ah, but She doesn't need you both at the same time. If Moon castes Her beautiful Light while I am with Earth, then Our Child will be fine. Then after, You can send your obnoxious and painful Light", both Sun and Moon wince, "to Earth so that She always has some kind of Light on Her at all times. We all get to be with Earth." Darkness responds.

Sun does not want to consider His words. To Him, Darkness has no right to Earth. However, Moon contemplates this proposal, but She is wary of Him.

Seeing Her hesitation Darkness quickly says "My Dear, I just want to be a part of Our Child's Life. Please, with You there with Me She will not be harmed by My Shadows. Earth will still be with Sun, just at a different time from the two of Us." His expression expresses an earnest desire to be with Earth, and with the combination of His Shadows making Her tired and believing that He is being true...Moon tentatively agrees to the arrangement.

"My Love what are You saying? Do not listen to Him! Darkness has no place with Us and Earth. He could never love Our Child like We do. I will not allow this to continue!" Sun begs and pleads Moon to change Her mind, but She believes this to be the only way for everyone to remain unhurt.

"Beloved, please think with reason! This arrangement can work. I will still be with You! I will only be with Darkness during the times He sees Our Child, My Love is for You and You alone. Please agree to the terms. I do not favor them, but this is the only way! If the two of You fight the consequences will be felt by all four of Us." While Moon's Silver tears had ebbed, Her eyes shone with it being held back.

With the words of His Love, Sun agrees to Darkness' deal.

With the last words of agreeance uttered from Sun's lips, the Shadows dissipate and leave Earth's still sleeping form.

While Sun and Moon let out a relieved sigh, Darkness smugly smiles.

Moon had turned and started to walk back to Sun when suddenly—Shadows wrapped around Her body and started pulling Her farther into Darkness' hold. The Shadows clung to Her skin and started to drain Sun's leftover Light from Her.

"Stop! Let Her Go! My Love!" Sun tries to move closer to Them, but the Shadows are dense and block Him. He summons His Fire and directs it at Darkness, but because Moon and Earth were near Him, They get hit too.

The screams of Moon and Earth startle Sun and He stops His attack. With how much distance is now between Him and Darkness, Sun would have to use His full power to even reach the other Being. However, when Darkness had moved Earth earlier He had strategically placed Her. While Earth is far from Sun, any full powered hits would injure Her no matter how He directed His Flames and Light. With Moon now in the arms of Darkness, any harm directed at Him will also hit Her.

Moon tries to break free of Darkness' hold on Her, but fear and exhaustion prevent Her from fighting. He leers toward Her and forces Her face toward Him while gripping Her head. One of His arms still circled around Her pulls Her closer, and while Her hair covers part of Her faceDarkness does not care about this.

"You are Mine now, Moon! Any resistance from You and Earth will feel it. Any attempts to run back to Sun and Earth will feel it." Darkness' harsh breath is like ice on Moon, and She becomes limp with the realization.

Darkness turns his head to look at Sun victoriously and shouts "If you try to force My hand to get Moon back, all You will do is hurt both Moon and Earth!"

Sun's eyes and body glow an intense Gold, but He knows He cannot do anything. He is powerless and cries as He starts screaming. Gold tears fall as he processes that He will never again be able to embrace His Love. To never again kiss Her and bask in the gentle twinkling Light produced by Her delicate laughs.

Sun will never feel Love again because She can never return to Him.

Seeing her Beloved in such a state makes Moon enraged and finds the strength to escape Darkness' physical hold on Her.

Moon lets out a howl and starts hitting Herself since She cannot channel Her energy outward without Earth getting hurt. Silver Light envelops Her as Her Silver Tears cascade down Her body and cover Her whole as She transforms. Her once beautiful ebony hair changes to the same color of Her bright Silver tears. Her skin then pales because of the lasting exposure to Darkness' Shadows.

Desperate hands reach out for naught as Their Light pours into the Stars. Thus, the Stars fall upon Earth in waves as do Their tears. Cursed to only be able to see each other, but never to Unite again.

Their tears and screams are absorbed by Earth causing Her to awaken... and then Her eyes open. One as green as Her land and the other as blue as blue as Her oceans.

As time passes Earth grows.

She sees Sun in the day, and during this Darkness retreats farther into the cosmos and drags Moon to the outskirts of His domain. While She can't fully leave His grasp, Her Light allows Her to remain near Earth even during the day, but still too far to be near Sun.

Once Sun leaves, Moon approaches Earth with Darkness while Sun watches Them from a distance.

Earth eventually learned of Sun and Moon's Love and what happened with Darkness and was heartbroken knowing that They can never be together again. Earth decides that no one should go through what They did and creates Chosen's for each of Her Humans. She knows that Moon and Sun love each other, and nothing Darkness can do would change that. 

Moon would always Choose Sun.

During Her time away from Her three Parents, Earth wished that Sun and Moon could meet again and have Darkness' agreement keeping them a part be destroyed.

The Stars observe everything and grant Her wish.

They etched another tale unto themselves: the Prophecy about the Chosen Ones.

The Gold and Silver tears that had fallen from Sun and Moon collected into Electrum. This Electrum would be used by Earth to give the Chosen Ones the Power of her Parents. When the Stars aligned, Electrum would be born into a Soul in the form of two babies...and they will fulfill the Prophecy.

Hello! Wow, I did not mean for this to be so long. Anywho... I'm Artemis and welcome to my story! I originally had the idea for this story back in 2017 but stopped writing because of reasons. You know the feeling of looking through old texts or reading old work of yours and cringe at how you sounded? Yeah, that was me when I logged onto my Wattpad for the first time in over a year and read my old stuff. Like no thanks keep that far away from me please and thank you.

However, I wanted to start writing again and instead of coming up with a brand spanking new concept, I am just going to use the draft of "Blue and Green Eyes". After ripping the plot apart and making it new (well not really, I could barely remember what the plot was outside of what was in the description), changing the characters' names/age, and blah blah blah. Basically, I changed a bunch of stuff to fit my new style of writing, interests, and yeah. My 14-year-old self is different from 19-year-old me.

I am experimenting with capitalizing the pronouns when regarding Sun, Moon, Earth, Darkness, and Stars to emphasize they were personified beings. After proofreading this a bunch it makes sense to me, but please let me know if it makes the story harder to read or if I missed a pronoun or any grammatical error. I would rather be let known of my mistake so I can fix it. I won't be capitalizing pronouns for anyone else in the story, only when these characters are being referred. 

I will try to post chapters at least once a week, but college kinda takes up a bunch of my time so please understand that if I don't post it is because I am sobbing on my laptop surrounded by work.
