I opened my eyes to look around, but to my surprise, it seems I was back at shore.
"Your awake, thank God, I thought you wouldn't wake up for a moment, I'm sorry about tipping the tube you we're in"
I couldn't respond at the moment, my mind was having the hardest time trying to process what exactly just happened.
"No response, well, your probably trying to figure out what exactly just happened"
I looked up at him for a moment, he wasn't wrong though, I am trying to figure out what exactly just happened.
"Are you here with a group or did you come here by yourself?"
"H-Huh, Oh, I-I came here with a group, s-speaking of group, I-I remember this b-building, the p-people I'm supposed to b-be with aren't too far from here"
"That's good, I should get going, I've been waiting for someone very special to me to return"
"T-To return, d-don't tell me, was she attacked by t-the kraken?!"
"Yeah, one night she told me, 'If I don't return, wait for me by the dock,' she never returned that night, so I've been waiting ever since, so to answer your question, she most likely got attacked by the kraken while she was out, because she hasn't ever returned"
"W-Well, I-I'm an exorcist, o-or an exorcist in training at least, m-me and my group w-were sent to investigate the case of the k-kraken"
"Then let me help you, if the person I've been waiting for has been killed by the kraken, then I at least want to see to it that the kraken is killed as well"
We continued to talk about the kraken until night.
We looked out into the ocean, but I soon noticed something fuzzy rub against me.
As I looked off to the side, I saw Blackrose sitting next to me.
"I was hiding in the shadows, but since it's night, I couldn't keep hiding"
"Y-You followed us h-here, d-didn't you?"
"Yup, I wanted to go with you, but I didn't exactly get the chance to ask you"
I let out sigh, but when I turned around, I saw Léo and Neptune running to me.
"Luna, the person you with earlier, well, we found out who he is, his name was Shy, but that's besides the point, we couldn't find him anywhere!"
I frantically looked around as well in an attempt to find him, but he was nowhere to be found.
What worried me the most was when I saw an ominous and large black area in the ocean, the black area even had menacing red eyes as well.
I quickly backed up, and it's a good thing I did as well, the kraken soon emerged from the water, and to answer one of my other questions, one of its tentacles emerged from the water, holding Shy.
"Neptune, d-don't you know a-any if it's f-fatal verses?"
"If it cant hear what I'm saying, the fatal verse won't work"
"G-Guess I have n-no choice then"
As I walked to the edge of the dock, I quickly dived in the water.
I couldn't exactly see what I was doing, but once I drew Kurikara, I seemed to be able to breathe underwater and I could even see as well.
I attempted to lure the Kraken down into the ocean with me, but before it could catch up with me, I quickly hid, ready to attack.
This was a race against time however, if I'm too slow, I'll end up killing the victim.
Once the Kraken finally caught up with me, it looked around trying to find me, giving me the perfect chance to strike.
I quickly rushed at the enemy as I sliced the Kraken's tentacle, grabbing the victim, Shy, as well.
As I sheathed Kurikara, I noticed that the Kraken's tentacle was growing back.
I won't be able to kill it at all if it's just gonna regenerate, I'm just gonna have to swim.
While holding Shy close, I swam to the surface as fast as I could, making sure to avoid the Kraken's attempts at grabbing me.
I kept swimming and swimming until I could finally breathe, when I was able to breathe air, I opened my eyes.
I was relieved that I was able to make it to the surface so fast.
The others we're waiting for me at the dock, I needed to get there as fast as can.
Before I swam back to shore, it felt  nice seeing them happy and excited that I was fine and I rescued the person, but something happened I wasn't expecting to happen.
Before I could even swim back to shore, I was suddenly jerked underwater.
The sudden action caused me to let go of Shy, leaving him at the surface as I could feel myself being dragged into the ocean.
I couldn't draw Kurikara, whatever grabbed me had me restrained.
No matter how much I struggled, I still couldn't break free.
I'm starting to need air, I'm gonna drown at this rate.
I couldn't continue to struggle any longer, I could feel myself go limp as I was slowly drowning, I couldn't scream or call for help, that wouldn't only make me drown faster.
As I could feel the warmth I have slowly leave myself, I already knew I would end up dying.
It was then, I stopped moving, I didn't remember what happened after that, but when I opened my eyes, I found myself in a house with Shy and a female, along with Léo and Neptune.
I could also feel a warm towel on myself as well as my feet were in warm water, yet I still felt cold and my nose was stuffy.
"Well Good morning to you, nice to see your still alive, we thought for a moment it was too late by the time you we're returned to shore"
"W-Who are y-you?"
"My name is Yumi, the person Shy has been looking for, while I was attacked by the Kraken, the only reason it attacked me was because of the loud noise of the boat I was on, turns out the kraken is scared of loud noises, that's why it's been attacking the people who've been going out to sea"
I ended up sneezing rather loudly, but at least I didn't interrupt what she was saying.
"I'd like to say thank you though for saving Shy, as for the kraken, it's sleeping now in a place without loud noises, me and Shy are forever in your debt, if there's anything you need, just let us know"
"S-Some t-tissues would be nice"
As I sneezed again, everyone but me seemed to laugh.
I only looked annoyed though, this cold is annoying as well which doesn't help either.
