A lady in her late fifty's is shown standing near a large carved window in a large room adoring the sunrise..still in this age her face was radiant and glowing....a beautiful smile was playing on her beautiful lips with a shine of happiness in her beautiful honey brown orbs....she inhaled the fresh air deeply and thought...
"Bhagwaan...aapka jitna shukriya ada karu utna kam hai....jab jab aapne mujhe apni khushiyon se durr kiya...tab tab main aapse naaraaz hui...jhagda kiya....Par aaj iss waqt...mere paas aapko thank you kehne ke alaawa kuch nai hai...Aapke upar mera vishwaas samay ke saath aur badh gaya hai....kyunki sirf aap hi ki wajah se aaj mere paas mera hasta khelta pura parivaar hai....Mere bachhe....meri bahu aur damad....mere grandchildren.....sab log....Aapne mujhe jitne dukh dikhaae usse kai jyaada khushiyaan di hain..." And with that a happy tear left her eye...

Suddenly a hand moved into hers and their fingers got entwined...

With that her smile grew wider and she said without looking at the person... "Good Morning Dr.Dixit....!!"

A man in his late fifty's  smiled brightly...and said...."Good Morning Mrs.Dixit...!! I love you...!!"

With his statement sonakshi blushed and said..."Dev..!! Budhe ho gaye ho...dada ban gaye ho par tumhaara school boy craze nai gaya....Itne saalon main ek bhi din aisa nai gaya jis din tumne mujhe i love you nai kaha ho....bachpana nai gaya...kab sudhroge tum...."

The man smiled mischeviously and said....
"Tumhein pata hai sonakshi....main kyu roz roz tumhain i love kehta hu..??"

She looked at him with quizzical eyes and noded in a no....

Then he replied...."Main isi hope main roz roz tumhain i love kehta kyunki tum mere aisa bolne pe yeh jo tum sharma jaati ho...aankhein neeche jhuka leti ho....muskuraa deti ho....
Inn sabko dekhte rehne ka mann karta hai....mera bass chale toh....."

And with this she softly slapped his cheek and said..."Kya tum bhi...sharam nai aati hai tumhain bilkul bhi...."

And with this they both hugged eachother.....giggling on their eternal morning cheesy talks...

Dev said..."Sonakshi...i will aways be thankful of you....mere bure waqt main tumne mera saath nai chhoda...humesha dhaal ki tarah mere saath khadi rahi....meri wife banke...meri friend banke...meri guide banke.... I can proudly say that i'm your husband...that you are my better half...Thank you sonakshi...thank you for everything.... "

With this sonakshi hugged him cosily and said...."Dev...tum mujhe thankyou kyu bol rahe ho....wo sab mera farz tha...haq tha....
Tumhi ne mujhe abhi apna better half kaha na....toh agar mere better half ka saath main nai dungi toh kon dega....Right Dr.Senti Dixit.... ?"

With this they parted from eachother and dev smiled fondly looked at his pride....
They have grown older with time....but their feelings and respect haven't dropped even an inch....

Both of them admired each other for standing by in whatever odds they faced...
As they have grown old...their love and respect also got increased in many folds.....

Sonakshi said..."Main sab jaanti hun tum yeh senti senti baatein kyu kar rahe ho...
Par mujhe mera gift chahiye....laao do...
Aur yeh mat bolna ke tum bhulgaye ho ke aaj kya hai...warna achha nai hoga..."

Dev frowned at her and made a puppy face and said...."Kaisa gift...mere pass toh koi gift nai hai sonakshi...aur aaj aisa kya special hai jo tumhain gift chahiye...?"

Sonakshi face fell straight and she gritted her teeth and said..."Don't tell me ke tum iss saal fir bhul gaye ke aaj kya hai...
Mazaak mat karo dev....i will be very angry...i'm telling you...."

Dev again frowned and said...."Par sonakshi mujhe sach main kuch nai yaad hai ke aaj kya hai...tumhi bata do..."

With this sonakshi turned walked away saying go to hell to dev.....

After sonakshi left...dev bursted into giggles and said..."Budhi ho gayi ho Mrs.Dixit...par gussa karna nai bhuli....typical old granny....
Mujhe pata hai ke aaj humaari anniversary aur valentine's day hai...
Par tumhain cheedhaane main jo maza aata hai wo wish karne main kahan milta hai....I have to go and bring the best gift for you.....just wait for the evening...."

It was evening and their whole house was decorated with white and blue curtains and flowers...and blue and white dangling lights....

Guests started to arrive and Ansh along with his wife Avantika were standing at the door greeting them...

In the house drishti was looking after all the catering arrangements...She has grown in to a beautiful, strong, caring and independent woman....She was successful as a pilot....and gave her dreams a big fly with the support of her parents....She has a beautiful family of three..her husband Darshit...and her cute little son Aditya.....

Ansh too had grown as a successful and responsible person with all the moral ethics....He was the leading criminal lawyer of the town...who never in his life lost a single case....and always fought for the truth...Ansh and Avantika had a beautiful daughter named Daanya....

Sonakshi was getting ready for the party in her room...she wore a beautiful royal blue and peacock green coloured cotton saree along with ethnic light jewllery...
She had grown a little bit chubby..but still the same beautiful and serene...
She was a calm, composed and successful woman of content...
DR.SONAKSHI DEV DIXIT...!!

Drishti came running to her room and barged inside without knocking....
She was breathing heavily....
Sonakshi got scared because of her sudden barging and said...."Drishti .....kya kar rahi ho...aise bhaag ke kyu aayi ho...??
Sab thik hai na....tumhaare dad kahan hai....?"

Drishti raised her hand in air to stop her...and said..."Arey maa...sab thik hai....main na aapke liye gajra lekar aayi hun...chaliye baithiye wahan...main laga deti hun....Fir aap ekdum ready ho jaaengi....aur hum neeche chalenge...chaliye...baithiye..."

Sonakshi went and sat infront ofthe dressing table....and said..."Par drishti....tumhaare papa hain kahan...shaam se hi gaayab hai...aur toh aur har baar ki tarah humaari anniversary bhi bhul gaye hain....pata nai kya hoga unka...."

She huffed in dismay and Drishti giggled on her grumpiness....sometimes she used to behave childish when it comes to Dev and her....

Drishti said...."Maa...aap kitne cute ho...aaj bhi papa pe waise hi gussa karte ho jaise pehle karte the....Don't worry wo aate hi honge...kuch jaroori kaam karne gaye honge...."

On this sonkshi looked at her from the mirror while drishti bite her toungue and closed her eyes...She knew dev was planning some surprise for sonakshi...and he wanted to keep it secret....and there she was on the verge of spilling the beans....

Sonakshi said...."Kya matlab...?"Aaj aisa kaunsa jaroori kaam aa gaya woh Doctor ko ke party chhodke jana pad Gaya...Drishtiiiiii....tumlogon ki koi khichdi pak rahi hai kya....?"

Drishti speedily thoght about some excuse and said...."Arey maa....kitne sawal puchhti hain aap....mera matlab tha ke agar papa party chhodke gaye honge toh kuch important kaam hi hoga na...aur wo hain bhi toh DR.DEV DIXIT...!! toh hoga koi jaruri kaam....main unko call kardeti hu jaldi se aane ke liye....aap neeche aa jaiyye...."

Saying so....she hastily left the room....

Sonakshi smelled that something was fishy but still she ignore it...and giving a last look to herself she headed outside the room to go downstairs....
She was standing on the stairs which leads to the big hall where all the guests were gathered.....

She looked everywhere but dev was nowhere to be seen...she wondered...that where could he be....and how can he disappear like that on this special day....and moreover he also forgot their anniversary too....She decided to give him a silent treatment when he comes back....
She headed downstairs as all the lights went off and a big spotlight graced her...
She smiled at that...nodes her head...thinking about the preparations her kids have done to make their special day more special...she was delighted that her whole family was with her....But at the same time...Dev's  absence was making her worried and angry....

If Dev would have been here...she would have felt complete...As she was about to stepdown the last stair...a hand stretched towards her...and she looked at the person....Spotlight fell on him too....and it was Dev...Wearing a three piece black suit with royal blue tie....

He was looking as charming as before...
Just a bit more old....a bit more aged though....

Looking at him...all her anger vanished and she smiled her brightest best....She put her hand in his hand....and they both walked towards the stage....

Everybody clapped...their friends...family....corporate partners...everyone were present....wishing them the best in their life....

Dev has developed two big hospitals in Delhi....and both were equally reputated and best hospitals of the town....He was well satisfied with himself...that he was able to keep his family happy and safe from all the evils....

He was a proud husband....proud dad....and a proud granparent too....
He turned to face sonakshi....and both them smiled at each other sweetly...

Dev said...."Sonakshi....Tumne mujhe uss time pe sambhaala jab main pura bikharne waala tha...Tum meri strength ho....mere bachhon ki maa ho....iss ke liye...i will always be thankful to you...Thank you for taking care of me and my kids....thankyou for taking care of this house....you made it home....Tumne mujhe rishto ke maayene samjhaaye....
Sonakshi....tum ho toh main hun....warna kuch bhi nahin....kuch bhi nahi....Hum kai baar jhagade....arguments hui...roothe....manaaya....par humesha ek dusre ke liye khade rahe dhaal bankar....
Yeh humaari tarah ka rishta hai....Yeh EK RISHTA AISA BHI hai....!! I love you forever....and ever...and ever....!!"
By this time both of them had tears in their eyes....and their kids were too moist eyed....their parents were their inspiration....they loved them to the moon and back....

Sonakshi said...."Sab baatein toh tumne khud hi karli dev....sabkuch khud hi boldiya....mere liye toh kuch chhoda hi nai....Par main tumhain thank you nai bolungi....kyunki wo bohot chhota lagega tumhaare efforts ....tumhaari care....tumhaare pyaar ke saamne....Isilye...bas humesha mere saath rehna aise hi....aur aisi hi senti baatein karke sabko emotional karte rehna....Gussa hui wife ko kaise rulaana hai yeh tumse achha kaun jaanta hai...."

She twitched her nose and both of them giggled loudly....

Dev wiped her tears and sonakshi wiped his.....
Then dev called Ansh and asked to give him some papers....
Ansh immediately gave him a file....and dev again turned to face sonakshi with a wide grin on his face....
He forwarded the file towards her and confusedly looked at him...she took the file from him and he signaled her to open it....

As soon as she opened and started to read the documents....her grin grew wider and wider.....and few tears rolled down her eyes...
Dev wiped her tears and said..."Happy anniversary Mrs.Dixit...!!"

Sonakshi just blinked her eyes as her vision got blurred.....she tried to say something but was unable to form the words....finally she gulped down the lump in her throat...and said...  "School For specially abled kids" Dev.....i was trying to get that property for making the school for last 2 years....Aur aaj tum isse aise....i mean....main....tum.....main....
I don't know what to say....main kaise tumhain iss sab ke liye thankyou kahungi....."

Dev just noded his head...he held her hands softly and kissed them....he said....
"Just say what i want to hear....!"

He smiled and she grinned....she said...
"Happy anniversary Dr.Dixit....! I love you too...!!"

Everyone in the hall hooted and cheered on their proposal....and clapped hard....

Dev held her one hand and said...."Will you be my valentine.....For a lifetime...?"

Sonakshi blushed and noded in a yes....!!

After that everyone had a couple dance....followed by a grand dinner...

Dev and sonakshi had came a long way....from being strangers...to having a senior & junior relation....to friends....to lovers....to life parters.....to parents....to grandparents.....

And still they are going strong keeping their love and care for each other intact as a whole....
