NEXT DAY:
Dr Pathak, Natasha's psychiatrist came and checked her out. "I agree Dev....she has had a major relapse after a long time.....you never know what triggered it.......medicines toh leti hai na roz?....relapse ka sabse bada karan usually non compliance with medicines hota hai..."

"Yes, Dr Pathak....I make sure she takes it....jab main nahin hotha...toh nurse uska dhyaan rakhti hai....I think I know what happened....but never mind...now we need to take care of her...."

"You know...agar kuch din usse is haal mein hospitalize kar dein....toh it may be safer for her and people around her....." Dr Phatak said

"NAHIN...Natasha hospital nahin jaayegi....iska treatment hamesha ghar par hi hua hai....." Pawan Gujral suddenly intervened.

Dev and Pawan had often conflicted on Natasha's treatment. Pawan was against hospitalizing her as he was afraid everyone in the campus would know about Natasha...so far he had been successful in concealing the truth from most people...of course most people who knew Natasha were aware that there was something "wrong" with her.....Dev knew Pawan would not budge from his decision. It was strange...although Dev took care of her day-to-day needs; it was Pawan who still called the shots regarding Natasha...

Dr Pathak increased her medication dose and left. Once Dev was sure Natasha was calmer, he gave instructions to her nurse to keep a close eye on Natasha and inform him as soon as she sensed any problem. Sulekha Gujral tried to stay away from Natasha whenever she had a major breakdown...that was her way of dealing with it!

Dev had a hectic schedule at work all morning but was restless all day as he craved to see and talk to Sonakshi....he was also concerned about her safety.....
As soon as he got a break from his schedule, he called Sonakshi, "Main thodi der ke liye tumhare yahan aa raha hoon..."

Sonakshi greeted him at the door but was shocked to see his swollen and red eyes... "kya baat hai Dev...sab kuch theek toh hai na?" she held his arm as he walked in. Ansh was still at his physical therapy session; Sonakshi had come home after she had received Dev's call.

Dev came in and plunked on the sofa and she sat down next to him. Sonakshi got concerned, "Dev ..please...kya hua..."

Dev buried his head on her lap-he always found that very comforting-and told her what was going on with Natasha.

He also said, "Mujhe tumhari bhi fikr hai....agar usse pata chal gaya tum kahan ho....she is dangerous at this point.....Dr Pawan Gujral usse hospitalize bhi nahin hone denge...."

Sonakshi stroked his head and said, "Dev...tum Natasha ko lekar kahin....kuch time ke liye baahar kyon nahin chale jaate?"

Dev got up and looked at her, "tumse aur Ansh se door?....nahin main aisa nahin karr sakta..."

"Sirf thode din ki baat hai.....main Ooty mein ek bahut achche psychiatry facility ko jaanti hoon....uske head hamare psych ke professor the Delhi mein....it is a very nice environment....very peaceful....tum Natasha ke parents ko kehdo ki usse ghumaane le jaa rahe ho....wo bhi khush ho jaayenge....aur meri aur Ansh ki fikr mat karo...don't worry hum kahin nahin bhag rahe hain.....ab hum tumhare hain.....we can't even think of leaving you ...." she smiled and kissed his cheek.

Dev smiled back and hugged her, 'Sonakshi....main kitna paagal tha....maine doosron ki baat mein aakar tum par shaq kaise kiya....Riya is right...tum jaisi ladki iss duniya mein maine nahin dekhi..."

"Aur..naa kabhi dekne ki himmat karna...!!." Sonakshi gave him a warning look and got up to make some coffee.

Dev followed her to the kitchen and wrapped his arms around her waist as she was boiling the milk. "Kaash main hamesha tumhare paas hi reh sakta..." he said romantically and started showering her neck and shoulders with his kisses.

"Dev...kya karr rahe ho..." she moaned

He turned the stove off and carried her back to the sofa. "Mujhe coffee nahin...kuch aur chahiye....please mujhse door mat raha karo" his lips kept working on her face and lips as his hands caressed her body.
'Main chah kar bhi door nahin reh sakti...." She whispered.

As Dev got ready to go back to work and Sonakshi to go and pick Ansh, Dev said: "Sonakshi, campus par mera ek staff quarter hai....jaane se pehle main tumhe uski keys dena chahta hoon....main chahta hoon ki tum aur Ansh ab usmein shift karr jao....Riya bhi wapas aane wali hogi...."

"Par kyon?...hum theek hain yahan...." She asked

"Madam.....Riya ke aane ke baad....cough....cough....sofe par sirf baith kar batein kar sakengey.....samjhi...." he pulled her towards him, "and I don't want to share that sofa with anyone else....." he planted a big kiss on her cheek.

She blushed as she understood his meaning...."OK...jaisa tum chaho...I am at your disposal sir....." They both walked out hand in hand and then went their separate ways.....

That evening, Dev told Pawan and Sulekha Gujral that he was taking Natasha to Ooty for a month "thoda hawa paani change hoga...toh she will feel better....waise bhi shaadi ke baad hum kahin ghoomne nahin gaye hain...."
The Gujral's were pleased with that decision. Pawan, of course thought that Dev must have heeded to his advice, as he had always done in the past..."main jaanta tha Dev hamesha mera kehna maanta hai....Sonakshi may be his lust but Natasha is his true love...." Pawan thought.

They were going to leave the next day, Dev decided to use this time off to complete a research paper he had been working on, while Natasha would receive her in patient treatment.

NEXT MORNING:

Before departing for Ooty, he took Sonakshi and Ansh to show them their new house. "Riya jab aa jayegi...tumhein help karr de gi shifting mein....OK" he handed the keys to Sonakshi.

Sonakshi looked at the sign hanging on the door of the house, it said: "DR DEV DIXIT"- Sonakshi touched the sign with her fingers and had tears in her eyes.

"Kya hua Sonakshi?....mera naam itna bura lagta hai....?" Dev kidded with her

She smiled through her tears, "Dev....maine hamesha yahi chaha tha ki main iss naam se hamesha ke liye bandh jaoon....duniya ki nazron mein toh nahin bandh saki....parr shayad aise hi bandh kar jee loongi...."

Dev hugged her, "Iss naam par toh pehla haq tumhara hi hai...Sonakshi....Sundernagar mein hi tum Mrs Dev Dixit ho gayi thi...." He kissed her forehead. Ansh, who was trying to walk around the house, saw his mother hug doctor uncle. He really liked that intimate moment between them; he had never seen his mother hug another man before.....he had a big smile on his face. Dev saw Ansh staring at them and winked at him.

Ansh asked Dev to come closer and bend down. Ansh whispered in his ear, " wo aapki surprise waali kissey hai naa.....aap mamma ko bhi do ge naa? Unhe kabhi pehle kisi ne nahin dee hogi..." Dev smiled and rolled his lips, "hmm...idea bura nahin hai....bahut smart ho....bilkul apney baap jaise sochte ho..."

Dev went behind Sonakshi, who was checking out the layout of the house and grabbed her from behind and then showered her with his surprise "kisseys"
Ansh gave him a thumbs-up and Sonakshi just turned red from embarrassment...."Dev.....Ansh ke saamne...yeh kya ...." She fumbled.

"Aapke bete ki farmaish thi.....usse poora kar raha hoon...." He laughed and picked Ansh in his arms as they walked out of their new home.

Dev and Natasha left for Ooty that evening. Natasha really liked the new in patient facility....she had no clue it was a hospital....it was almost like a resort. She met the doctors and therapists there, who did not dress up in hospital clothes and tried to keep the environment more homely there. Dev checked into a nearby hotel. He spent few hours with Natasha everyday, they would go for walks, have meals together and talk a little bit. Natasha enjoyed the company of the other residents there and almost forgot about her fears and paranoia in Ooty.

Dev caught up with his research paper and talked to Ansh and Sonakshi everyday. He came to know that Riya had initially protested when she found out about Sonakshi moving out but being a good friend, she understood the reason and was happy for Sonakshi...Riya was one of the few people on the campus who knew about Natasha's illness and Dev's lonliness as Dev had confided into Jatin a long time ago. Jatin was also back from his training, making the transition for Sonakshi to her new home more acceptable to everyone.

Sonakshi decorated her new home to her tastes. She knew what Dev would like....she had not been this happy in years.....even though Dev was not with her physically....he was always there with her.....

One day as she was arranging some flowers in the house, she heard the doorbell.

"Hmm...kaun ho sakta hai?"

She was shocked to see the person at the door, "SIR...AAP!!" It was Pawan Gujral!

"toh ab samajh aaya.....Dev ne apne quarter ka possession kyon le liya hai.....wife ke saath honeymoom manaa raha hai aur ghar parr mistress ko chhod gaya hai.....wah....yeh nayi generation ka jawab nahin....."

"Please mind your language, Dr Gujral! Aisa kuch nahin hai.....mere bete ka yahan treatment chal raha hai...Dev ne sirf ek friend ke naate hamein yeh thode din ke liye diya hai....." Sonakshi lied as she did not want Dev to get into trouble.

"Well, I hope friendship hi ho.....lust nahin...." Pawan said sarcastically

Sonakshi was burning with anger, "Dr Gujral....isse pehle main aapka insult karoon....aap please chale jaiye...."

"Sonakshi....main bas tumhey warn karne aaya hoon....main abhi bhi iss institute ka head hoon....Dev se door raho...warna usse apni job se haath dhona padhega....."

"Dr Gujral....agar aapne aisa kiya...toh loss aapke institute kaa hi hoga...Dev jaise talented surgeon ko koyi bhi aankh bandh karke hire kar lega....he does not need your backing anymore!"

"But...tum jaanti nahin....I am a very influential man...mere recommendation ke bina....usse koi chance bhi nahin dega!" he turned around and left.

Sonakshi was not going to get deterred by his hollow threats anymore...Dev had already suffered enough.....she was going to face Dr Gujral now and be Dev's strength....not run away this time!

She did not tell Dev about her conversation with Pawan Gujral when she talked to him on the phone. She would mention it when he came back.....
