Part 4

The Gupta's were gathered in the hall busy discussing what they should do for the weekend, they had this routine that they made sure to follow. Work and studying was only for weekdays. Weekends meant family time and doing something new all together for the weekend.

Khushi liked the weekends most, because the four of them would do a lot of things on the weekends, for this weekend, they were planning to have small gathering of friends at their house and then they would cook out in the garden.

"Arjun you'll go shopping with Prem for everything you need meanwhile Khushi and I will decide whom to invite." Rudra said.

"Prem should I invite Suman?" Khushi smirked as she looked at Prem trying to tease him.

"Of course Suman needs to be invited." Rudra joined Khushi in teasing Prem.

"I like that Idea, we should definitely invite her and then make them sit alone in a corner and talk." Arjun laughed.

"Hahaha, very funny." Prem rolled his eyes as he walked away leaving the three laughing.

"On a serious note, why doesn't any of you have a girlfriend? I mean you three are hot as hell, and I've seen a lot of girls looking at you like you are some kind of a snack, so why don't you just date?" Khushi looked at both her elder brothers seriously.

"Would you really want us to date when we don't allow you to even talk to a guy?" Arjun asked.

"Why not? I know you all have a reason for not wanting me to be around guys but I don't have any such reasons for you" Khushi said.

"We are happy this way Khushi." Rudra said.

"Yes you and Arjun are because you don't like any girl, what about Prem? He likes Suman, we all know it."

"And no one refused him to make a move, it's his choice." Arjun said.

"It's a choice he's forcing himself to make because of the decision you three took. Look its okay, I won't talk to guys if that's what you really want, but why deny Prem to try his luck with Suman?"

"If we dint want him to try, we wouldn't tease him like you do Khushi. " Rudra said.

"Sometimes I really don't get what you three are up to. I know there's something none of you is telling me, and whatever it is, it's the reason why you don't want me to talk to any guy or why neither of you has a girlfriend." Khushi looked at her brothers who were now silent and had nothing to say.

She had a lot of questions whose answers she wasn't sure she was going to find.

"If we are done getting lecture from you can we now start preparing for our cook out?" Arjun asked.

"Fine." Khushi sighed, Arjun stood up and headed to find Prem so they could shop while Khushi sat down with Rudra deciding whom they were going to invite.

Rudra wrote down a list of names of a few people they were friends with in the office, the best part of their work environment was that even though they were the boss, they maintained a good relationship with their employees and they were really good friends with some of them.

As for Khushi she did talk to quite some girls in school but the only close friend she had was Suman so she invited her only.

Arnav was lying on his bed proof reading the new poem he had written when he was disturbed by a knock at the door of his room.

He stood up and headed to open the door wondering who it might be, his dad wasn't supposed to come back until next week and he rarely had any visitors.

Once he opened the door, he found two of his friends, Ronit and Krrish standing in front of him.

Ronit was really short in height with a healthy body, he loved food, he would eat everything and anything at any given time. Krrish was Arnav's Gym partner and the both of them always competed and who was going to make a great body, Krrish was fairly good looking and he was kind of a playboy in school, he was always flirting around with random girls.

"Dude, what are you doing home alone on a weekend?" Ronit asked.

"Do you have a girl in here?" Krrish smirked as he walked in looking around.

"I am not like you Ronit, I don't always have random girls at my place." Arnav replied as he sat down with them.

"Okay whatever, don't you think you should be spending a lot of time with us now that you'll move to Mumbai in a few months?" Ronit asked.

"I was just writing." Arnav said.

"Writing isn't going to impress a girl my dear boy. Going out looking all hot and sexy is." Krrish said.

"I would like to be with a girl who is impressed by my writing rather than my hot and sexy body." Arnav rolled his eyes.

"I don't think such girls exist bro." Ronit said.

"They do bro, just recently I posted a story on the World of Words and a girl texted me about my story, she told me how much she liked it." Arnav said.

"She liked the story not you dude." Krrish said.

"Okay whatever, can we please change the topic?" Arnav asked.

"Yes, let's do what we came here for." Ronit said excitedly.

"And what is that?" Arnav looked at the both suspiciously, this two guys always had the craziest ideas in their mind always.

"You know the both of us live with our parents, you are the only one that lives alone except when your dad visits which isn't anytime soon. So we thought why not try something today?" Krrish smirked.

"Okay, now you are scaring me, what do you want to try?" Arnav asked.

"Alcohol." Ronit looked really excited about it.

"What? No!" Arnav stood up immediately. His dad had always told him how horrible alcohol was and all that and Arnav was never the kind of a person who would go against his father.

"Oh come on Arnav, we are all eighteen and of the legal age" Krrish said.

"The legal drinking age is twenty one in India my friends and there is no way we are drinking alcohol, not in my house!" Arnav stood up as he headed inside his room while Ronit and Krrish followed him trying to convince him.

*****

"Cheers." The boys took the first ever sip of alcohol. Arnav, the person who wouldn't have ever done anything against his father's teaching, today was somehow convinced by his two friends to drink alcohol, although he dint want to, they managed to convince him for just a glass and after all the convincing, he agreed.

The three of them gulped down the alcohol altogether and within no time, they were pretty much drunk.

"So Arnav, this girl that you said messaged you about your story, is she hot?" Krrish asked.

"I haven't seen her, I checked her profile, it dint have any images."

"Then tell her to send you her picture dude. Hot girls don't usually text random people like this, so let's see if she is hot or not." Ronit said.

"I don't care what she looks like, besides she said she would never text, so why should I text?" Arnav asked.

"Just so we know what she looks like. Come on dude text her." Ronit and Krrish cheered.

"Okay fine, I am texting her." Arnav said he stood up and started looking for his phone, his head was literally spinning.

Once he found his phone, he opened his Instagram and typed a text.

"Hey Talkative girl." And pressed the send button. Ronit, Krrish and Arnav sat next to each other staring at the screen waiting for a reply.

"I need to tell you something." Khushi whispered to Suman. They all had gathered at Khushi's house for the cookout as planned and Khushi and Suman were busy chopping vegetables at the moment.

"What?" Suman asked.

"First of all you have to promise me that you won't tell my brothers about it, Prem especially since you both..." Khushi smirked.

"Shut up! And tell me now, I won't tell anyone." Suman said.

"Remember the story you sent me? So after reading it I thought I'd text the writer and tell them how much I loved it so I did that and then he replied. He dint tell me his name but I found out he was a guy and we just talked for a while, I had an interesting conversation with him." Khushi said excitedly.

"What?" Suman looked at her in shock.

"Why are you so shocked?"

"You know how your brothers will react if they ever find out right?" Suman said.

"I know, that's why I just ended the conversation and decided never to text him again, but it was interesting, I wish I could talk to him more and just get to know him." Khushi sighed.

"No way Khushi. It's the internet, you can't know what kind of a person you are talking to online." Suman warned her.

"But he sounded like a nice guy, although he also sounded like a huge flirt." She rolled her eyes.

"You better not text him again, you don't want to go against your brothers." Suman said.

"Fine, I won't." Khushi pouted as she continued cutting the vegetables.

They had a lot planned for tonight which was going to be fun, first they were all going to cook together and eat then they had some exciting games planned that were going to be really fun.

Both Khushi and Suman were kind of excited, this kind of nights were usually so much fun.

"Hey, quick question. Do you think that girl is into Arjun?" Khushi asked Suman as she pointed towards a girl that was standing all alone a few feet away from them, she was continuously looking at Arjun who was busy talking about something with some guys from work.

"Who is she?" Suman asked.

"I think she works in their office, she's very pretty isn't she?" Khushi smiled admiring her beauty.

"She is indeed, but why is she standing all alone?"

"I don't know, I'll go talk to her." Khushi stood up as she walked towards the girl, she was still looking at Arjun and smiling all alone.

"Hey." Khushi smiled as she waved at her excitedly.

"Hey." The girl finally took her gaze off Arjun and looked at Khushi, now that she was standing closer to her, she looked prettier than before too. She was just a bit taller than Khushi but she had really beautiful brown eyes and perfectly straight hair that fell down to her waist.

"I am Khushi, Arjun and Rudra's sister." Khushi introduced herself.

"Oh so you are Khushi, I've heard a lot about you from Arjun sir, he always talks about you." She replied.

"You work with Arjun?" Khushi asked.

"Yeah, I am Krystle, his personal secretary." She introduced herself.

"Then why are you standing all alone, you have a lot of workmates here."

"Just like that, I like my own company." She giggled.

"How about you join us and help us chop vegetables?" Khushi asked.

"Sure." She nodded, Khushi headed back towards Suman and settled down as Krystle joined them too. Khushi introduced Suman and Krystle and then they continued with cutting the vegetables, and even when they were cutting the vegetables, Krystle wouldn't just stop looking at Arjun which Suman and Khushi obviously noticed and just smirked at each other.

Khushi's phone vibrated in the pocket of her jean so she pulled it out and looked at it, the notification showed she had a message from 'The World Of Words'

She opened the message immediately after making sure no one was around her.

"Hey Talkative Girl." She looked at the message in surprise. She kept on staring at the screen wondering whether she should reply or not. Suman had just warned her against it, and as much as she wanted to ignore the message, she also wanted to reply, after all maybe this was going to be the only chance she was ever going to have of talking to a guy.

What was she supposed to so in such a situation? Reply to the text or ignore it and act like it never came?
