Part 15
"Wow." Arnav smiled in disbelief, he was really hoping to bump into Khushi at one point or the other, he just dint know it was going to be this soon.
It was like destiny was literally throwing them into each other's path every chance it got.
Jaise dil hai dhadkan hai... Ek duje ke vaaste...
Jaise aankh hai darpan hai... Ek duje ke vaaste...
Jaise barkha saawan hai... Ek duje ke vaaste...
Ek sajni ek sajan hai... Ek duje ke vaaste...
"Hey, I thought I'd never see you again." Khushi smiled at him.
"I was hoping I'd see you again." Arnav smiled as he moved closer and greeted her with a hug and then smiled.
"I see, still awkward with hugs." He said.
"Well it will take me a while to get used to. So what brings you here?"
"I got into a university here so I'm living with my aunt, going to study here."
"That sounds great." She smiled brightly.
"Yeah, if you're around we can meet or go out or something?" He asked nervously hoping she was going to agree.
"I don't know... you know the story with my brothers... but I'll try. I have your number so I'll text you."
"Sure." He smiled brightly, he couldn't explain how happy he felt seeing her here, this was finally his chance to impress her, he was going to leave no stone unturned, only if her brothers weren't the villain.
"So I got to go, but I'll see you around." She smiled as she waved a goodbye at him and turn around to walk away with Suman who was just looking at her like she could murder her, off late Khushi had become quite rebellious about her brother's rule for her.
Suman was really scared for her wondering how they were going to react if they ever found out that she went on a date with Arnav, they always got mad even when any guy would try to talk to her so a date was a big thing.
"Khushi." Arnav called her out as he bent down to pick something, Khushi just stood the looking at him in confusion.
"I think this fell off your bag." He said as he held out a scarf.
"Oh My God, this was the last piece, I paid a fortune for it and I would have cried if I lost it." Khushi smiled as she grabbed it from him but he kept on holding to one end of it, not wanting to let go.
Uss rab ne jab dil diye... dil ke do tukde diye...
Dono pe ek naam likha... ek Radha ek Shyam likha...
Arnav just kept on staring at her, admiring her, he had been hoping to bump into her and now that he had, he dint want her to go away so soon, he hadn't had enough time with her, he just wanted to look at her a while longer.
Khushi smiled as she moved closer to him and looked at him, he still wouldn't stop staring at her. The more he kept on looking at her, he realized how fast his heart had started beating around her, it was strange that he was suddenly feeling all this towards her.
"Arnav." She whispered.
"Yeah."
"I can't go unless you leave the scarf." She giggled.
Ab yeh dil dhadakte hai... milte aur bichadte hai...
Ek duje ke vaaste... Ek duje ke vaaste...
"Shit, I'm sorry." He said as he left it and looked down trying to hide the stupid smile on his face. How did she manage to make him feel like this? All giddy and the butterflies?
"I'll see you around." Khushi smiled, this time she moved closer to him, hugged him and then stepped backwards and walked away leaving Arnav in awe. He just stood there still and kept on looking at her walk away until she disappeared.
"Why am I feeling like this?" Arnav looked at Shaina who was smiling widely.
"Because my dear brother, you like her, too much." She laughed teasing him once again.
"Oh God, help me." Arnav said.
Khushi and Suman settled down in one of the restaurants at the mall to eat, whenever they would come for shopping they made sure to eat here, there was this one restaurant that had really great food.
"What was that Khushi? You told me it was just one date, you know if your brothers found out they would kill you?" Suman asked once they were settled down.
"Relax Suman, it's not like I'm going on a date with him again."
"Are you sure you aren't? The way you two were talking to each other seemed like you liked each other, in a romantic way."
"Well... I mean I do like him, that's why I even went for the date with him in Shimla, but then we came back and deep down I knew I wasn't going to meet him again so I guess I just accepted that. I mean I still do like him, but I don't think I'm interested in him in like a romantic way, I would like to be friends with him, hangout and stuff, but that's it."
"Wow, you are confusing, I mean you liked a guy and now you don't like him? What changed in three months?" Suman asked curiously.
"A lot." Khushi said as she remembered Mr. Writer. When she texted him randomly for the first time, she dint know that she was going to end up liking him, but somehow, just talking to him daily, telling each other stuff and everything, she had started trusting him, and maybe liking him a bit more than she should.
She couldn't tell Suman that though because Suman thought she had stopped talking to that guy and now if she would tell her that she liked a guy she was talking to online, Suman might even go tell her brothers.
Ofcourse, liking someone you met online was quite strange and dangerous, but well, she couldn't change was she felt, and he dint sound harmful. For the past few months she had known him, he really sounded so great and genuine.

After they were done with the shopping and eating, Suman and Khushi headed outside the mall as Prem was coming to pick them up, they found him already waiting there near the gate so they both got inside the car.
"Drop me home first and then you can drop Suman at her place while you're going at the office." Khushi said to Prem. Prem was free today and whenever he was free he would head to the office and help Rudra and Arjun with work and just learn new stuff, that was his plan today too after dropping Khushi home.
He just nodded positively and drove off, since the time he got mad about things, Khushi had stopped teasing him with Suman, she dint want to get him mad or hurt him again so she just kept quiet about the whole thing.
Once they arrived at the mansion, Khushi stepped out and rushed inside the house, Prem turned around and looked at Suman who was seated silently in the back seat.
"You can come sit in front." Prem said, Suman nodded as she stepped out and headed to sit in front beside him, once she was settled, Prem started driving, most of the time, he would avoid looking at her and just concentrate on the road.
"So, how's everything." Suman asked.
"Great. Nothing interesting happening. What about you? Are you excited for college tomorrow?" He asked.
"Yeah kind of. It new place, I'll get to meet new people and make new friends." Suman smiled.
"Also get a boyfriend, a lot of people do that in college don't they?"
"Prem." Suman looked at him seriously.
"Okay don't get a boyfriend, I was just trying to make a conversation." He shrugged.
"No, you were saying that because you think if I'd have a boyfriend things would be easier for you."
"So what do you want me to say Suman? Don't get a boyfriend? I'm not that selfish."
"You are selfish Prem, all you're thinking about is yourself, your rule for Khushi and how you have to act according to it. What about me? What about my feelings." Suman looked at him angrily.
"I never said I had any feelings for you." Prem said in his defense.
"We are not kids anymore Prem, just because you dint say it doesn't mean it isn't there. Look, before I thought I could do this, pretend to not like you or anything, but I can't anymore.
We've been doing this for years, yet we've never stopped feeling anything for each other, I have denied it for so long and but I can't anymore. The more I know there's zero chances of us being together, the more I fall for you."
"Suman why are you bringing this up suddenly? We were fine until now weren't we?"
"Because I can't just sit beside you and pretend everything is fine Prem. We had this discussion after the Shimla trip too, why can't you just get rid of this stupid rules you have?" Suman looked at him angrily.
It had been long, actually very long since they started liking each other, but they both ignored those feelings knowing nothing was really going to happen between them, but since Khushi found out and she wouldn't stop teasing them, the feelings just grew deeper for some reason.
The day they came back from the Shimla trip, they talked about it and the final decision was still the same, it would never happen, and since then they both had been avoiding each other hoping that the feelings would go away but three months later, they still hadn't, not even a bit.
Prem parked the car outside the gate and looked at her sadly.
"We've arrived." He said.
"That's all you have to say Prem?" Suman asked, tears almost coming out her eyes. Prem just looked at her silently for a moment and then looked away from her.
"You know unlike you I'm not a coward, neither am I used to hiding my feelings, so I know you might not care but here's the truth.
I am in love with you Prem, it just happened with time, at first I thought I could stay away from you, but now I can't, and it hurts... so much!" Suman said as finally the tears rolled out of her eyes.
"You need to go Suman, please leave." Prem said, he still wouldn't look at her. She just looked at him in disbelief for a moment and then stepped out angrily and walked away.
"Damn it Suman!" Prem punched the steering wheel angrily as he leaned his head on it trying to control his feelings, all he wanted to do was run behind her, stop her, pull her into a tight hug and tell her he loved her too, so much, but he couldn't... he just couldn't do it.
