Part 1
They say first love is usually the most important thing to a girl, and lucky are those girls that get their first love. First love is like a sweet dream, a beautiful memory which when it comes true, it gives her a lot of strength to fight herself, her family, and even the entire world.
Having grown up in a strict Indian family with three elder brothers, Khushi's life was a mix of shattered dreams and no hopes of ever finding her true love.
Just like every girl out there, she believed in first love, she believed that one day she was going to meet a guy and fall in love with him and it was going to be all happily ever after, but her dream of falling in love was shattered, not purposely but because of the immense love her three elder brothers had for her who wouldn't let any guy around her at all just because they were worried that she might get hurt.
While growing up, Khushi had only two dreams that she was sure she dint want to let them shatter no matter what. Number one, first love, and number two, to become very successful in life, little did she know that her first and second dream were somehow connected to one person, just that one person who was going to give a whole new meaning to her life.
"Khushi wake up darling, it's time to go to school." Her brother Rudra knocked at the door of her room.
"Look I also have made breakfast for you, come on wake up." Her second brother Arjun said.
"It's your final term Khushi, you can sleep all you want after you are done with school, now hurry up." The third brother, Prem spoke.
Khushi sat up on her bed stretching her arms lazily, she stood up and headed to open the door to her room and looked at her brothers, Rudra was standing in front dressed in his usual three piece suit, he was the tallest of them all, and he was pretty handsome and had very dark brown eyes, with his hair styled upwards and his beard shaved lightly, he could literally make any girl fall at his feet.
Arjun wasn't as tall as Rudra but he was very cute, he had brown eyes and he rarely shaved but he looked great in his beard, you know how some guys just look so great with beard? Arjun was that kind of a guy, girls wouldn't stop looking at and gushing about him. Arjun was standing behind Rudra holding a tray in his hand ready to feed Khushi, he was also dressed similarly to Rudra but he had way better dressing sense than him most of the times.
And then the third one was Prem, he was the boy next door kind of a guy, he had long hair and a cute face, every time you'd look at him he would give you the nineties kind of a vibe and he had a beautiful smile, just one smile and a lot of girls would be flat. Khushi had such perfect brothers sometimes she wondered if there would be any guy that she would meet that could give them competition.
She looked at them all frowning like a baby and then pouted as she walked back to the bed and lied down once again trying to sleep.
"I'll sing you lullaby at night, for now you need to go to school." Rudra said as he held her arm and pulled her out of the bed.
"But I want to sleep." She pouted again.
"Khushi come on now, you're getting late for school. Take a quick shower or breakfast will get cold." Arjun said as he looked at her and then at the tray he was holding.
"Fine." She stamped her feet on the floor and headed to the bathroom, banging the door. A few seconds later, she peeped out and found her brothers still standing in her room.
"Weren't you three taught manners in school? I am taking a shower, get out of my room." she screamed.
The three of them laughed as they walked out of Khushi's room leaving her to get ready for school. Although the three of them had been very strict with her always, they loved her immensely too and that was the reason why Khushi always acted like a princess around them.
Whenever she got mad about something, the three of them would do anything to make her happy, the food in the house was always cooked according to her taste and whatever she was willing to eat, and neither of them had got married until now just because they thought that any girl from outside, wouldn't be able to love Khushi as much as they did.
As much as it was great for Khushi to have such loving brothers who really cared for her and could do anything for her happiness, it had negatives sides to it too. Once they decided something for her then she had to obey them, she wasn't allowed to go against them no matter what.
Sometimes the decisions they made for her weren't of her choice, but because she loved them and dint want to disrespect them, she always ended up agreeing with them.
There was no doubt that Khushi loved her brothers, but sometimes she felt suffocated because they would never leave her alone, they would never let her do certain things, they would never let her talk to boys even in her class, they were way too strict for this generation, but with time she had gotten used to living that way.

Khushi walked out of the room dressed in her blue school dress with her hair tied into two braids, she had short fringes cut which were covering a forehead slightly. Khushi dint really come from a middle class family, they belonged to a bit high class family given that their parents had worked hard and left them quite some heritage, and after that her two elder brothers had also really worked hard and given her a good life. Prem was just a year older than Khushi so he had just started college, but Rudra and Arjun were already managing a business together.
"Here I am, all set for school. Now I'm hungry, the breakfast better be good." She looked at Arjun who was seated beside Rudra busy discussing something with him.
"Of course princess, why do you think I always cook despite having so many servants to do so?" Arjun smiled as he walked towards her, grabbed her hand and pulled her along to the table, the four of them settled down for breakfast.
"Now come on, eat quickly then I'll drop you at school." Prem said.
"Why can't I go on my own? Maybe walk? Or go in the school bus like everyone else?" Khushi asked.
"Because we love you dear, and we are trying to make life easier for you." Prem laughed.
"Is that so?" Rudra and Arjun raised their eyebrow as they smirked at Prem who in return blushed, it was very rare for Khushi to see any of her brothers blushing, and a blushing Prem was really cute.
"Hey, hey! What is it that you all know and I don't know?" she looked at the three of them curiously.
"Prem likes to come drop you so he can get a chance to see your friend daily." Arjun laughed.
"What? Who?" She looked at Prem curiously.
"Suman." Rudra laughed.
"What? No way! Since when do you like her? And how come I've never known? And wait, why is Prem allowed to come to my school and look at my friend and have a crush on her and I'm not even allowed to talk to a guy?" Khushi pouted.
"Because guys out there aren't good Khushi, we just don't want you to get hurt. You know if you get hurt, we will be hurt too." Rudra looked at her seriously.
"If Prem can be a good enough guy for Suman, why can't there be a guy good enough for me out there? Someone that won't hurt me like you say?"
"Khushi, there's no argument regarding that. Finish your breakfast and go to school." Rudra said in a very serious tone as he stood up and headed upstairs to his room not wanting any further discussion on this topic.
"Why is he always so strict with me?" Khushi looked at Arjun and Prem.
"Because he loves you Khushi, we all do." Arjun added.
"If I'm not getting my love story because you three wouldn't let me talk to a guy, there's no way I'm letting you have one with Suman." Khushi made faces at Prem.
"It's okay, I am fine by just looking at her from far and admiring her. I wouldn't want to stress her parents out just like I wouldn't want any guys to stress us out." Prem said.
"Just so you three know, the world has moved far ahead and not everyone has a strict family like mine. Three bodyguard brothers!" She rolled her eyes and stood up.
"Khushi, at least eat your breakfast." Arjun said as he grabbed the plate and ran behind her.
"No, I don't want to eat. You three are so strict with me, I feel like if mom and dad were here today, they wouldn't do this to me." She pouted.
Arjun placed the plate aside and grabbed her hand as he looked at her seriously.
"Khushi you know we love you so much, all we are trying to do is keep you safe. You are our life, you have no idea what would happen to us if something even small happened to you." Arjun said.
"I know bro, I love you all too, but sometimes, this is suffocating. Anyway I'm getting late for school, Prem are you dropping me or should I walk?" She shouted as she headed out of the house and Prem followed her immediately.
The both got into the car and Prem started driving, Khushi just sat silently in the car not wanting to talk to him.
"Khushi, cheer up now. I'll take you shopping in the evening after school." Prem tried to cheer her up.
"I am not going to let you and Suman happen, not at any cost!" Khushi said seriously.
"I don't want us to happen either Khushi. Don't you think if that's what I wanted then I would have at least tried to talk to her, it's been so long." Prem shrugged.
Once they arrived at school, he parked the car in his usual spot while Khushi looked at him in confusion.
"I don't get it. You clearly have a crush on her and you just said it's been long, what if those feelings are more than just a crush? Why don't you want you two to happen then?" Khushi looked at him in confusion.
"You always think your brothers are so strict with you they never let you talk to guys or even be friends with a guy right? But if we put those strict rules on you then they aren't for you only Khushi, they apply on us too.
We might be very strict with you, but at the same time we know we are in the 21st century and we believe in equality, so if you aren't allowed to talk to guys, we aren't allowed to talk to girls too." Prem said.
"You see this is what I don't get? I mean some things you are just excessively strict about. Like I can wear whatever the hell I want, eat whatever I want, do a lot of things but not talk to a guy, why? You three are guys too, so why do you have problems with me talking to other guys?
Why are the three of you up to not letting me get my fairytale love story? My prince charming, the guy who has been sent to earth for me and only for me."
"You are watching too much movies aren't you? Now come on go to your classes, see your friend is coming to take you." Prem smirked as he looked at Suman who was now walking towards their car. Suman was pretty much similar to Prem, If you'd know her and know Prem, you'd find a lot of similarities, she was a very cute but shy kind of a girl, mostly shy around boys, she had short curly hair which was currently braided just similar to Khushi's hair. Khushi smiled at Prem as she stepped out and just when she did, she thought of some mischief.
"Suman, can you get inside the car, Prem wants to talk to you about something." She smiled at her trying to act very normal.
"About what?" Suman asked.
"I don't know, ask him yourself."
Suman nodded as she tried to get inside and when she bent down, Khushi pushed her so she fell on Prem's lap and then she ran away laughing like crazy leaving the two behind in the car sharing a cute eye lock.
"Khushi! Wait, you aren't getting away with this!" Suman shouted as she quickly got out of the car and ran behind Khushi trying to get hold of her while at the same time she tried not to blush.
Khushi kept running as fast as her feeble legs could take her until she hit someone and fell on the ground.
"Jeez, can't you look and walk?" Khushi asked as she stood up dusting her clothes and turned to look at the person she had hit while running.
In front of her stood a very handsome guy, he had his hair cut short and gelled perfectly, he had dark brown eyes compared to hers, she had beautiful hazel eyes. He wasn't dressed in the school uniform and neither had she seen him in this school before, maybe he was a new student or something, but damn he was pretty good looking. Even at such a young age, he had a pretty good body, you could see his muscles from the short sleeved tee he was wearing that fitted him perfectly.

Ek duje ke vaaste...
"Oh I am sorry for running without looking ahead." He rolled his eyes.
"Rude! Who are you and how dare you talk to the head girl in such a tone. I'll take you to the principal and complain about you." Khushi said angrily.
"Are you in kindergarten yet?" He raised his eyebrow at her.
Before Khushi could say something, a girl came rushing towards him and grabbed his arm looking all happy and excited. Khushi knew her because they had been in the same school of course, although she wasn't friends with her, she had had interactions with her quite some times.
She was around sixteen years old, very fair and she had brown hair, she looked more like the white people, you wouldn't know she was Indian unless you really got to know her.
"You can go home now Arnav, I'm all settled. Thank you for the help though." She said to him.
"Okay this guy is rude but he has a nice name" Khushi whispered to herself.
"Excuse me?" Arnav said.
"You! What did you just do back there? I'm going to make you pay for it." Suman said as she finally caught up with Khushi, she grabbed her hand and pulled her away while Khushi kept on turning back to look at Arnav angrily like she wanted to punch him badly.
"I was just taking a small revenge from my brother." Khushi pouted.
"And you used me for that!" Suman said.
"I am sorry." She said as she made a really cute face and held both her ears apologizing to Suman, who in return just smiled at her.
