"W-weren't you... Weren't you just in my room?" I asked Sammy shakingly.

She frowned at me and shook her head.

"How could she be in your room Lia? she just got here," Mina said looking at me strangely.

"No, she wasn't. She was with me, just now. She was jumping on my bed. She was talking to me, she, she was talking to me. S-she, she,"

"Lia calm down," Mina said holding my shoulders.

"Are you okay? you look really pale and you are blabbering nonsense,"

I ignored her and turned to the little girl who was hiding in fear behind Mina.

"Don't look at me like that! What kind of prank are you playing? This isn't funny!" I said angrily.

I tried to grab her when Mina pushed me back.

"I don't know what has come over you Lia, but you can't treat my sister like this. Now look, she is crying because of you!

I looked at the girl and saw that she was crying. "I'm sorry. I could have sworn-"

"No! Don't say anything. My sister and I are going out and you are no longer invited to play with us. To think that she was looking forward to seeing you". Mina said. Her brown eyes filled with anger.

"Let's go," She said dragging her sister downstairs

The guilt and confusion of what just happened were weighing me down. I didn't even know what to believe.

A rational part of me wanted to forget what happened. But the scared side was just plain curious. I wasn't dreaming when that happened. Was I?

Either way, Mina was angry with me and I made a little girl cry.

With an aggravated huff. I made my way downstairs. The whole house was quiet since Mina wasn't around. It just occurred to me that she had a family to go back too during the weekends. She just wanted to show me her sister and look at how that turned out.

I was sick and tired of staying here. I just wanted to go back home. So I decided to go and explore the house to waste time.

I entered almost every room I could find only to meet them empty and cold.

That is until I came across a locked door.

I tried pushing it open, but it wouldn't budge. What could be inside here? I couldn't ask anyone to tell me cause I'm sure it was locked for a reason. Time for my lock picking skills.

I went to a room where I saw some tools and selected a fine looking hammer. I was about to use the hammer on the doorknob when I realized how stupid that would be. It might make too much noise, and if I did break inside they would notice since the door handle would be destroyed. So I had to use the key.

I remember seeing a bunch of keys in aunt June's room. I just had to find a way of getting them.

I knocked on her door lightly and waited for any response. When I got none, I pushed the door open. I was so glad it wasn't locked.

When I entered, I heard the sound of water running behind the other door.

Good, she was taking a bath. I tiptoed to the cabinet and was surprised to find a bunch of keys just sitting on it. Okay, this was too easy, it was actually scary.

I carried the keys and left the room as fast as I could. I was now standing in front of the locked door.

I knew I would be in trouble if I got caught, I should just put it back in aunt June's room before it's too late.

But I couldn't.

My curiosity outweighed the consequences. So with shaky hands, I tried the keys on the lock and when I tried the third one, the door unlocked. I took a deep breath and walked inside.
