Jailbreak
- Aftermath (Sonny 2)
- Sliver Cloud Prison -
The young man enjoys his ten minutes of smoking alone. Once that time passes, a young, dark skinned woman with long, velvety wine hair wrapped in a braided low bun walks into the railing area and sees him. Streaks of purple were joined with green and set her skin tone off. If it weren't for the jumpsuit she donned that was identical to his, she could be approaching him out in the real world on a seaside pier.
He thought to himself how he wouldn't hate that at all. Her lightly faded violet lipstick masks her pink lips, with the addition of three black ring piercings. One in her nose, and two on the outer lift of her left ear. He motions his head in a quick greeting as he blows smoke out of his nostrils. "Yo."
Within seconds, she too is at the railing putting her weight against right next to him. Without a word, he holds the cigarette carton out to her, and just as silently, but with a nod, she accepts. Placing it between her full lips just before he leans over and lights it for her. After a deep pull of smoke that she allowed to escape through her nose. "Thanks."
"No problem."
"You've been gone awhile, Lux," she begins, content to watch all going on around them until she finally breaks the silence. "We thought they might have actually killed you this time around."
"Dumb fucks aren't doing shit to me. Faris convinced Dunham to get me back out here. Fucker wanted me in there for the rest of my life."
"With your record, wouldn't you want someone like you in a cell forever too if you were him? I mean, it's you we're talking about."
"Yeah, well, I don't have shit to say to that except it's good to be back. What's so important that you wanted to talk about it up here?" Lux asks, turning to face his collocutor. She reaches into her jumpsuit in response and pulls out a small folder before handing it to him. "What is this?"
"Open it and read it before you start running your mouth." Lux opens the folder, allowing his eyes to gloss over the words, trying to comprehend the contents. As he does, she continues to talk to him as he follows the wording and pictures. "We got hired. Didn't give me a name, although, I have a pretty good feeling I know who it is. Our anonymous employer has given us blueprints of the prison and a way to escape."
"Planning to spring us out, huh? Bad idea. I could give two fucks about who it is, Jade. Is this shit viable?"
"Checked it out myself. We do this right, we can get out of here. Supposed to meet them at a location out in Rason."
"Good choice. Blue skins don't really patrol out there."
"The sewer system will lead us right outside, but we'll have to get there on our own, though."
"That's fine." Lux finishes reading the contents and hands the small folder back to Jade.
"You done, babe?"
"Yeah," he responds, handing the lighter to her. While she burns the contents of the folder, Lux's curiosity comes to light in the form of a question. "Is that dumbass awake yet?"
"Yeah. I woke him up and told him about it."
"Alright. Go do what you need to do. We'll meet up at his cell."
Jade flicks her stubbed cigarette away then leaves the railing area. After a moment, Lux does the same and leaves the railing area as well. Heading towards his cell block, he makes his way down a few pairs of stairs and past two large, square shaped buildings. The entire prison is an isolated area, each with an electric fence or gate leading down a path towards each of the cell blocks. After a short walk, he finally makes it to the last building of the eastern side of the prison, and enters after being frisked more than once by the guards. "Motherfucker probably went back to sleep."
Lux walks throughout the cell block, heading towards a specific cell on the second level. The smell is horrid, mostly caused by backed up toilets or the smell of the inmates themselves. There's only three levels, the second being much larger than the others. The first level is a spacious area with smooth gray flooring with rusted streaks or moldy spots from food smeared all over it. It has multiple small metal tables that are barely a feet from each other, with the uncomfortable stool like chairs on each side.
There are inmates in every direction. Some are sitting at the tables in certain groups playing cards, simply talking while eating, or subtly passing on certain items while they sit at the back tables. If you were to look up, you'd see prisoners in various colored jumpsuits walking back and forth throughout the second level, where all the cells are located and where most arguments or unseen killings happen.
The final level belongs to the guards, who are diligently posted everywhere you look. They have access to cameras, which they use to allow and watch drug exchanges to happen, just so they can give the inmates more prison time. Some of the prisoners give Lux a brief greeting as they walk by, while most of the guards give him the side eye. He isn't the favorite of anyone who works there for various reasons; Not that he cared about anyone's opinion of him.
He walks to a small cell on the western side of the second level and pokes his head inside. There he sees a young, light-tan skinned man with short, ruffled laguna hair accented by one long black patch sticking out at the front. He's laying on a small metal bed in the left corner, snoring loudly as he sleeps.
"Of course..." Lux mutters, stepping inside the cell with an irritated look on his face. He walks over to the bed, grips the young man's shoulder and he begins to shake him. "'Ey, Klaus."
"Mm...go away, Jade. I'm tryna sleep..."
Lux backs away, creating a gap between him and the bed. Enough to gain momentum for what he plans to do. He kicks the bed's side causing it to fall over, taking the young man with it. When he hits the floor, he holds his stomach while groaning hysterically.
"Ahh...who do you think you are? I will fuck you up, you invisible being!"
"It's me, you shithead."
Klaus instantly sits up, turning his gaze upward to look at Lux. He happily chuckles and stands up with a smile. He looks towards the side wall, where a few, dirty, battered stuffed animals are placed in a row.
"Oh, shit! Look who's back, guys! It's Lux! Hey. Woah there, Roger. Calm down. You're always embarrassing me."
"That's because he wants this six-pack. You remember what Jade told you, right?"
"Sure did. Manny wrote it all down- WHAT?! What do you mean you didn't write anything? Well, we would have paper and pencils if you went to the store. But you didn't!"
"'Ey, focus, will you? Red is red and blue is blue."
"Right, right...Red is red and blue is blue. I knew that."
"Yeah, you did. Now go do what she told you to do. I'll use the rest of our cash to get us ready. We'll meet back here after you're done."
"Yup, yup, got it."
"Get outta here. And do your job correctly."
Lux shakes his head at the way Klaus decided to skip out of his cell instead of walking before refocusing on his task. Now it was back to him doing his part. Reaching up to a toilet, his hand slid behind it, scraping a few knuckles on the grated wall. His fingers found a small wad of cash and he quickly removed it to conceal in his jumpsuit, his mind racing to put everything together as he did.
"Alright. Now I've gotta get some shit for us," he says aloud before he begins a short venture that eventually takes him into the laundry area.
Dressed in black jumpsuits, a slew of prisoners are washing, drying and folding piles of clothing which seem to sit up as high as the mountains once visible from the world they used to occupy. Among them, a young man donning stubby brown hair along with glasses in the very back whips around when he hears someone walk in. Once his eyes register his familiarity with the frame arriving, he frowns when Lux appears in the doorway. "Ah, shit. You've gotta be kidding me..." he says just loud enough to be heard by those in his immediate vicinity. Lux walks up to him, motioning his head in greeting.
"Yo, Archie. Wanna talk to you for a sec."
"Halcyon. Finally out of confinement, eh?" He throws out at Lux as he readjusts his own glasses, laughing. "Word got out that you were supposed to be in there for a very long time."
"Oh, yeah? The warden can run his mouth all he wants. Seems to make him feel better. As for me, I need to see your inventory."
"Fine, fine," Archie concedes. He releases a sigh, already assuming that's what Lux wanted. "What do ya want?"
"Whatever good shit you've got," Lux replies, stepping up to a hidden display of tools and makeshift weapons behind Archie.
It wasn't a grade A armory, but enough to cause damage while simultaneously getting work essential to his plan completed. Once done collecting what he needs not only for himself, but Jade and Klaus, Archie takes stock of what inventory Lux chose, then nods in confirmation. "Got what you wanted?"
"Sure did. Good looking out, Archie. Since you always hook us up- and this is between you and me- you might want to check out that old sewer system. Shit might go down today."
"The hell are you talking about?"
"Just sayin'. Should keep that to yourself."
"Alright. You weirdo," Archie chortles, half acknowledging Lux's words. While he doesn't disregard them, he ensures to balance his sporadic thoughts with an undisputed fact. When wildcards like Lux are involved in any plan, unexpected chaos is sure to ensue.
"Be seeing you, Arch," Lux waves, leaving the laundry area. He continues to roam around the cell block. Intersecting with a few prisoners just prior to deciding on making his way into the prison yard. As he steps forward, he hears a deep male voice calling to him from his right.
"'Ey! Bomba andante!"
Turning in the direction of the voice, his eyes rest on a tall, robust, dark tan man with short black hair approaching him. The sleeves of the man's gray jumpsuit are torn off, exposing a plethora of tattoos decorating his arms as if he were a human mural. A few other prisoners are also behind the man, repeating his greeting to Lux.
"Bomba andante!"
"Heh, heh! Bomba andante!" Another one calls, causing Lux to chuckle. It's not long until he sets his sights toward the obvious leader of the group.
"Mateo, you fucker. How've you been?"
"Same shit as always, hermano. You're finally out of confinement, eh? Didn't think Dunham would let you out."
"Everybody keeps talking about that. He ain't doin' nothin' to me. All he does is sit his fat ass in that office jacking off whatever the fuck he's got left down there."
"Ain't that the truth," Mateo responds, crossing his arms afterwards and leaning his head back as he laughs. "Me and my boys were about to work out. Come join us. We wanna see bomba andante pump some iron!" The men behind Mateo laugh as well then yell loudly, seemingly cheering Lux on. "Bomba andante!"
"Alright, alright, I'll think about it. Now stop bothering me. I've got shit to do," he shot off jokingly.
Though his words are layered in a light-hearted tone, Mateo could easily spot the grim waters patiently hiding behind the dam that is his robust stature. Knowing that asking questions of any kind leads to unwanted confrontation, Mateo directs the men behind him to walk off, each one talking to whoever's beside them while some still repeat the name. The thought crosses Lux's mind how it's not a bad idea to get some workouts in since he still has time before meeting back up with Jade and Klaus.
While mulling the offer over, he continues roaming around the prison yard, talking to a few of the inmates standing around smoking, or sitting down on the mossy grounds. Afterwards, he decides to return to Mateo and his group, who are all crowded in the workout area of the yard.
"'Ey, boys. Look who it is," Mateo says with a simple lift of his head.
"Figured I take you up on your offer."
"Ha, ha! This is why I like you, bomba andante. Come on and show us that strength of yours!"
"Fine, fine. Y'all up for a game?"
"I'll tell my boys to take the court for us."
He plays a quick game of basketball with Mateo and his men. When they're finished, they return to the workout area. Mateo, who's in a hot sweat panting lightly, let's out a wheezing laugh as he wraps a towel around his head.
"Ha, ha! Thought my boys were good, but obviously, they were not. Ha!"
"They did alright. Fuckers couldn't keep up, though."
"'Ey, I've still got some shit left in me if ya tryna do somethin' else."
"Shit doesn't last forever, Mateo. I ain't gonna lie, though, I had a little fun."
"Good to hear. Alright, then. You change your mind, we'll be here," his opponent gave in, seeing Lux's attention was obviously on to something else.
"Yeah. That's why I respect you guys. You like your spot."
"You have always been a weird fucking kid. And that is how I know you'll be a different man when you get out."
"What?" Lux asks, hearing the switch in Mateo's tone.
"Meeting youth like yourself has inspired me to live. To fight for this life that I don't understand. Crime is all I've known. But the curse does not make the man, eh? You understand. Buena suerte, Lux Halcyon."
"...Thanks, Mateo."
Heading from the prison yard, Lux decides to return to Klaus' cell. Just as the cell door comes into view his eyes fall on Jade, leaning against the railing directly in front of it, with Klaus standing to her right.
"'Hey, babe," she greets him.
"You two get everything done?
"I planted the bombs on Somerite amplifiers. We've got to get to work fast if we don't want to get fucked up," she leaned into a whisper. They knew there were always ears about.
"Klaus?"
"Hm? Huh? Oh, yeah, I've got the bombs planted near generators," he replies comically, immediately deepening his voice to add onto his vocal exaggeration. "Power will probably go out after Jade's bombs go off."
"Alright. Go over what needs to happen, J," Lux naturally commands, his body finding the nearest wall to lean on.
"There's five areas we need to maneuver through before we even get close to the sewer entrance. Once the bombs go off, the power will be cut, triggering the emergency power to turn on. We need to at least get through halfway before everything restarts. The further areas will all have their own generators. We need to find them, ticking them all off before the Anti-Walls form. We won't have to worry about the amplifiers, not to say that getting through AAF soldiers is easy. It should be simple enough, though. While all the chaotic shit is going on, we force our way through until we reach the sewer entrance. Do I need to repeat myself?" she tossed out, looking back and forth between her partners.
"Nah, let's get the fuck out of here," Lux says, finalizing the plan. "We'll wait by the door in the prison yard."
With that, the trio trudged towards the prison yard, waiting a fair distance from the large door which would bring them to the next area. This was it, their one and only chance of escaping. The unknown consequences of failure were not ones any of the three were in a hurry to discover. Their focus had never been more intense then in this moment.
Without another moment for any doubts to crept in, the chaos finally begins. Earth shakingly loud explosions invade everyone's hearing coming in from different directions. Followed closely by a red light brightening most of the area as a loud alarm starts to blare. The guards at the door quickly react. They press a button on their uniforms initiating dark blue armor to form around their bodies complete with a helmet to match.
"What the fuck happened?!" One guard screamed out.
"I don't know!" Another responded.
"Get the fuck back, inmate!" A third added, aggressively pointing his firearm at an approaching convict.
The prisoners don't waste this clear opportunity to escape. Starting with violent prison yard attacks on the guards surrounding them. Some prisoners start to laugh in excitement as their bodies light up, beaming with power. Their ability to fly granted them by the power lifted them above their targets all while throwing beams of energy at the walls and guards. In the blink of an eye, a warzone had erupted.
Multiple guards are yelling orders while shooting their firearms in retaliation as they fight back the prisoners. One of the guards at the door grabs a small wall radio off its placement, and begins yelling into it in a panic.
"Prison yard to HQ! We need some fucking backup! The amplifiers are down and the Abnormals are attempting to escape! Repeat! We need- GAH!"
Before the words can flow from his lips, an immense pain fills his body turning his words into screams. As they should have since his eyes looked down slowly to behold a gaping hole in his stomach, a fist extended straight through it, lifting him from his feet.
The fist belonging to Lux is now covered in the blood, guts and other bodily fluids of the guard is yanked backwards from his mutilated body, seeing him thud to the floor in a mangled heap. This brings multiple guards running in front of him. They front their large shock batons, some reloading their firearms before aiming directly at him.
"Truman!" A soldier shouts to his fallen comrade. "You fucking freak! You're not going anywhere!"
Lux flicks his hand to wipe the blood away, then presents a pair of brass knuckles he quickly pushes onto his strong fingers. Jade and Klaus appear stealthily beside him. Jade's hair starts to flow upward as she floats in the air. Dark purple aura in the form of streams alongside chains surround her body as she flies towards their foe to attack.
Klaus bounces up then down to pump up. Multiple streaks of electricity encase him, then begin to flicker around his body. With extreme speed, he storms the guards alongside Jade. Lux's signature smirk spreads across his face just as bright orange-red color light takes on his body as well, the invisible waves of energy from his body emit throughout the entire prison yard. Suddenly, some of the guards start to scream loudly as they instantly explode into pieces. Keeping his cocky smirk, he assumes his fighting stance. "Let's get to work."
There are at least ten guards in front of Lux, excluding the ones Klaus and Jade are already fighting. He forms his own one-man stampede to avoid the initial gunfire, the momentum leaving a trail of fire behind him. Using his rapid impetus, he hits the first guard in front with a spinning back fist, immediately following up with two quick jabs to the neck and finishes with a powerful left hook.
Staggered, the guard steps back, Lux extends his arm forward in reaction to secure him and with a swirling motion the guard's body becomes his shield against the gunfire from his very own, taking on the hits instead. Afterwards, Lux throws his latest kills' bullet riddled body at the others to his immediate right who are attempting to swing their batons.
Dodging three more strikes from the guard's behind him, the next move was a counter strike administered by punching the ground, causing a mass explosion to erupt from beneath. One by one, Lux takes on each of the guards with firearms with a precisely powerful combo. The waves of guards don't cease, as another squad enters the prison yard with their sights set on the trio.
"More coming! Come on, guys, we're tryna leave! What do you want, money? You want money, you bastards?!" Klaus hollers out, overemphasizing the jestering tone in his voice.
"We don't have time for this! Stop fucking around and get rid of them, Lux! We need this push to escape!" Jade scolds him impatiently as she takes hold of the neck of a burly adversary who seemed way too skilled with his baton. She yanks his weapon from his right hand and commands her chains to swing it, the force twisting his head backwards.
"You should learn how to ask for shit nicely." Lux spits back at her as he continues, thoroughly enjoying releasing his rage. He curls his standing body, rapidly filling himself with powerful energy. When he's finished, he yells and releases a deadly wave causing half of the guards to explode into a mix of parts and chunks. A lesser person would be sick, not him. Afterwards, he cracks his neck and smirks. "No doubt I'm gettin' back in the groove of things."
Next, he activates his powered form. Causing him to yell loudly as his muscles become more toned. The energy from his body burning the top half of his prison issue jumpsuit away. His body looks cracked with black and orange lines flowing in every direction on his skin. He bursts forward, beginning to wildly and aimlessly punch anything in his way.
Each punch causes a massive blast of fiery force, scorching away any guard victim to destruction in one hit. To take out remaining foes, he clenches his right fist allowing it to rise into the air. A riotous, tawny aura begins to flare uncontrollably around his fist.
With a loud shout, once again, he punches the ground, causing an enormous eruption that destroys half of the prison yard, taking both inmates and prison guards along with it. As Lux slowly reverts from his powered form, Jade walks up beside him with an annoyed look on her face. "Was that so hard?"
"Fuck off. You know I just got out of confinement. I was havin' fun. Let's move."
Lux runs up to the door, and with two swift left to right punches, he destroys it completely allowing the trio entry to the next area. It's a large metal inning with a huge door at the far end of it. Red lights are now flickering on and off as the loud alarm still blares. They can see prisoners fighting the guards, dismantling almost the entire area in the process. "The emergency generators are near the door!" Jade notices and informs the crew.
"Klaus, get the generators! We'll fight the guards when we get there!" Lux commands.
Klaus salutes in a silly manner, then turns into a small ball of electricity, and flows into the electrical lines. As Jade flies forward towards the havoc, Lux glances towards his brass knuckles. "Let's put this shit to good use."
Along with the guards, Jade and Lux have to deal with the insanity of the inmates, who have no discretion on who to attack, counseling bedlam as they fight each other just as quickly as they do the guards. Using her free left hand, Jade begins raining down devastating, shadow-like balls of energy which explode into sharp, explosive spikes that kill a small crowd of guards and inmates. A few of the guards begin firing upward at Jade but are quickly stopped by Lux's leaping punches.
After he takes out two of the guards with firearms, he grapples onto an inmate before she gets the chance to use her powers. With a simple lift of strength, Lux slams the inmate onto the ground with a powerful vertical suplex. Jade wraps the remaining inmates and guards in a tight, shadowy chained prison. Lux proceeds to snatch the chain that's sticking out, and lifts them into the air, slamming them down onto the ground with powerful tugs and pulls. Finishing with a spin in a full circle which launches them up into the air.
Jade immediately follows up, enlarges her sickle before covering it with purple aura, slicing the chained crowd into pieces. Once the area is clear, Jade and Lux look forward when they hear the door slowly opening, revealing Klaus on the other side.
"Hey. I just saw you two a few minutes ago," he sarcastically exclaims. Jade flies past Klaus then Lux pats his back and runs past him as well.
"Good shit, Klaus. Now get moving."
The trio continue to battle their way through the chaos of the prison. Once halfway through, there lies a larger area. The chaos has even spread this far into the prison, with small structures in the area completely broken into rubble. They spot the emergency generators near the door, but they're covered by a blue wall of energy.
"Fuck. They've got Anti over the generators?" Lux snaps, immediately highlighting the obstacles ahead with his growing intensity.
"I'll deal with it. Watch my back." Jade quickly responds, propelling herself towards the generators as Lux and Klaus assume their fighting stances.
Klaus rushes ahead then begins running into a wide circle, attempting to take the guards and inmates out at once. His extreme speed starts to create a flicking pulse of electricity, shocking his enemies as he continues to build momentum. At his preferred point of speed, he vaults into the air. When he lands onto the ground, a wide electric wave pulses throughout the area, paralyzing all in its way.
Lux follows Klaus' lead, springing into the air as well. His hands clenched into large boulders, he slams the ground with a hammer fisting strike, causing wide explosions that break into clusters. The area is once again clear. Lux and Klaus look towards the door that is promptly opening, revealing Jade on the other side with her left hand on her hip.
"Good shit, J." Lux affirms, crossing his arms before sending her a nod.
"You're welcome," she happily replies, delivering a sultry look to her complimenter.
"Onwards, my fellow warriors!" Klaus shouts, mimicking trumpet sound using his mouth and moving his fingers as if he has the instrument in his hands.
"Instant cringe, man." Lux sighs, then he and the team run past the door, continuing to fight through the chaos of the prison.
Finally, they arrive at the door proceeding to the area leading to the sewer entrance. It's there they encounter a bald man wearing a blue suit shaped by his stout frame with a black tie standing in front of it. The area is nearly quiet, muffled explosions can be heard from a distance behind them. Lux smirks, immediately recognizing the man as he steps forward. "Outta the way, Dunham. All that fat is blocking our exit."
"Lux Halcyon. I'm assuming you and your little posse were behind this? Don't you realize what you've done? All this chaos you create is exactly why you all were placed here. I have tried to give you suitable lives during your imprisonment and still you all try to escape. ...Hm. But you couldn't have done this on your own, you're far too violent to have coordinated this. Who's helping you?"
"Wow," Lux says, chuckling. "I actually sat here and listened to that. What a stupid question. It doesn't really matter who's helpin' us. Just know that we're leaving."
"Hmph. You are not going anywhere. It seems solitary confinement wasn't enough to break you. I know it would be you- it's because I couldn't break you!" The warden scolds himself under his breath, pacing back and forth until he comes to a halt. He turns to his prey, his umber eyes now locked onto their target. "I am the warden of this prison. Not a single one of you will escape me."
"Is that right? Okay, then. Let's test your theory."
Dunham presses a tiny button on his tie, activating a dark blue armor that covers his entire body. He then pulls out a pen and clicks it, which causes the pen to transform into an enormous rocket hammer. It slams on the ground, rattling beneath their feet. It's then Lux, Jade, and Klaus assume their fighting stances.
- Final Encounter (Sonny 2)
Klaus is the first of the trio to dart in his direction. Hurdling into the thick air, shifting back and forth into flashes of electricity as he closes the gap between him and Warden Dunham. Despite wearing extremely heavy armor, along with a rocket hammer about the same weight, Warden Dunham is still able to move as if it doesn't affect him. Raising a shield barrier with his left hand, he blocks the initial strikes from Klaus, who quickly leaps away as Jade begins firing dark balls of energy at the barrier.
With a swift bash, he deflects her attack to his left, causing them to damage a far wall. Immediately after, Lux dashes forward with his fist clenched, preparing to clash with Dunham. Dunham thrusts his shield forward to stop Lux's momentum, in quick reaction to Lux dodging the attempting strike, Dunham then swings his hammer horizontally before he can move again. Lux is thrown aback from the force of the swing, but quickly lands on his feet, rushing once again, this time with Klaus alongside him.
Dunham strikes the ground with his hammer, creating a small eruption that Lux and Klaus both dodge simultaneously. Lux uses this opportunity to damage Dunham's armor. He lunges forward, unleashing a flurry of punches that ends with an upward knee straight to the head. Klaus appears, running alongside Dunham's shoulders and back, slicing and cutting into the small cracks in his armor to weaken it. Jade rapidly descends toward her enemy, sickle tightly in her grasp. Dodging any desperate attempts to harm her with his hammer, she zips left to right before zooming upward, cutting a fair chunk of his chest armor off before she ascends further into the air.
Once she's a fair distance away, she conjures two large spheres of dark energy into her hands flinging them at Dunham's back. The impact causes Dunham to stagger forward, giving Lux an opening to attack once again. Tightening his left fist, he leaps into the air with a rising uppercut. Spinning twice to keep his momentum, he then descends back towards Dunham with his legs extending forward.
Before Lux makes impact, Klaus jumps off Dunham's shoulder landing onto the ground. He whips his butterfly knife in a cross, and the strike creates a fracture in Dunham's armor. Dunham quickly turns his body, raising his barrier shield in an attempt to cushion the impact of Lux's descent, but his reaction is too late.
Lux breaks straight through the barrier, directly clashing with Warden Dunham's chest armor. Blue electricity starts to spark and flicker around Dunham's it. His chest plate is completely broken, torn off so that it exposes part of its interior. Feeling an overwhelming weight, Warden Dunham temporarily falls to one knee. "Gah...Damm you!"
While their opponent is immobilized, the trio use this opportunity to damage the extending sections of his armor. Lux begins to break down Dunham's back shield with devastating punches and kicks. Klaus commences in sabotaging the protective metal covering his boots with swift, impactful thrusts from his knife in tandem with Jade flinging multiple shadow balls at his arms and shoulders.
The constant bombardment of attacks enrages Dunham, he breaks out of his immobilization, quickly sprouting to his feet. He curls his body, then extends his arms outward to send out a pulse that forces the trio away from him. Afterwards, he activates multiple failsafes to assist him in combat.
The floor below suddenly flickers with blue electricity, above the door are large turrets that begin firing powerful cannon rounds at the crew. Dunham bellows at the top of his lungs as he raises his weapon above his head, the bulk of the hammer itself shifts into an enormous engine like weapon, bursting with igniting flames. "YOU WILL NOT ESCAPE ME!"
The battle becomes a game of constant hit and run. Although Jade can avoid the electric floor, she swiftly dodges the cannon fire from above whilst still attacking Dunham with her ranged strikes. Lux and Klaus have to continuously leap off the ground and propel themselves from the fractured walls not only dodging cannon fire and the electric floor, but to avoid the raging swings from the hammer.
Through all the chaos, Dunham's enhanced reflexes are still able to keep track of Lux and Klaus zipping about. Tracking Lux as he moves forward, he swings in a diagonal angle to stop Lux's momentum. Once he lands on the floor, taking a sting of damage from the electricity, he looks up only to see Warden swing his hammer downward in an attempt to finish him off.
Using his legs, Lux propels himself away, avoiding the vertical eruption caused by Dunham's strike. His rage is unrelenting, with continuously powerful and aimless swings, he begins destroying the floor and the walls in an attempt to harm the trio whenever he sees them.
He's had enough, this increases his bloodthirsty need to see Lux's lifeless body on the ground. Raising the hammer up once again, it begins to charge its ignition in preparation for a devastating attack. Before he slams his hammer onto the ground, his hands are bound by a thick shadow chain. Dunham glances back, only to see Jade using everything in her power to keep him from using his weapon on her partner.
Before their enemy can react, Klaus darts back and forth above him, lancing straight through the protection on his hands. Dunham loses his grip. As his hammer falls, Lux dashes forward and catches it. With his overwhelming strength, Lux begins swinging Dunham's hammer with ease, breaking down his armor piece by piece. At the end of those wild strikes, Dunham is completely exposed, only having his suit and tie as protection.
Lux throws Dunham's hammer away, then grips his collar to hold him in place. Five violent punches are unleashed onto him. Immediately afterwards, Lux shoves his hand onto his face, charging up his energy. In between the sounds of Lux's charging, Dunham's muffled screams of mercy can be heard, although it's too late in Lux's eyes now.
Dunham continues to scream as loud as he can, his head starts to expand and inflate like a balloon until finally, it bursts into bloody pieces. After letting go of Dunham's headless corpse, Lux stomps on its chest, then fires a ball of saliva and spit where the head used to be. "Motherfucker."
Lux is completely filled with anger, he wants to crush Dunham's body with his feet for hours on end until it is dust able to be blown away with a puff of air from between his own lips. That is until he feels Jade hold his arm to calm him down. "He's dead, Lux."
"No shit," he immediately retorts.
"Which means it's time to go. C'mon. The sewer entrance is past here."
He knows Jade is right. With an annoyed huff, he follows behind Klaus and Jade as they leave the area. They then walk into a back section, passing the door where a large rusty grated pipe has odd looking water flowing out of it. Lux steps forward, grabs the grate and tosses it aside. After dusting his hands off, he then motions for Jade to go ahead of him with a smirk on his face. "Ladies first."
"Fuck you," she spit back at him as she climbed into the pipe, walking forward. Klaus and Lux follow behind with Lux chuckling.
