Chapter Twenty-Seven: Lost Brother

Diego, Klaus and I continued our bowling session on our lane, which was quiet fun as I was cheating the hell out of them both to get strikes all the time. Allison re-joined us without Luther, as the game was going well. Klaus was currently taking his turn as Allison, Diego and I were convened off the lanes and at tables nearby, but we stood as we couldn't sit. Five was also gone, no idea where he went as he didn't tell one of us. I wasn't paying attention to much stuff, I could hear laughter from the next lane, and pins falling down. But out of the corner of my eye, I could see Luther walking over to us.

"All right, where's Five?" Luther asks, his gaze cocking between us.

"He left," Diego announce, as Luther quickly didn't looked pleased.

"Oh, for the love of... Where'd he go?" Luther questioned as we had no idea where he went.

"Forgot to tell us," I remarked to Luther as I cross my arms over my chest, standing between Allison and Diego. I could see Klaus sneak his way around Allison and to the popcorn on the table.

"Well, we're not waiting around for him. The concert starts in thirty minutes," Luther states his eyes flickering between us all.

"All right, so what's the plan?" Diego asks, wondering what was the plan to stop Vanya and the whole world ending.

"Well, I think that, um..." Luther began as he was showing various of expression as I could see the cogs turning in his head as he hadn't thought of a solid plan. "We go to the Icarus Theatre," he states as that was just a place, not a plan.

"That's a location, not a plan," Diego spoke his mind, and took the words right from my head. Luther opened his mouth to speak, but closed it once again as he had nothing to give us. "What? Is that all you got?" Diego crept forward to Luther as their gazes were locked on one another. "Look, you wanna be Number One, fine, but you're gonna have to get us on the same page, because right now, we're all over the place," Diego was bone straight with Luther as there was not time to muck around.

"You're right," Luther replied which was kind of a shocker. "We need a plan," he states, as we all had to pitch in.

"Would be lovely wouldn't it. But we're in a bowling alley, wearing frickin' bowling shoes," I state wildly as this wasn't the way I thought we would be tonight, but we here, wearing ugly, unflattering shoes. A sound of clattering came to our ears, making us turn our gazes to the front door. My eyes widen in shock as I see geared up men come in, their faces were protected with gas masks, as their eye holes were red. They all were holding machineguns and before anyone knew, they began to fire at us.

"Get Down!" Luther yells as I dove across to the right, crawling upon the floor and to Klaus and Allison who held their extends hands out and dragged me over to them as we perched between the table as Luther and Diego was at the other side. I could hear glass smashing, screams as customers fled from the place.

"Who the hell are these guys?!" Diego's voice rose over the coming bullets that hit many things.

"Maybe they're here for Kenny's birthday!" Klaus shouts over, cupping his hands over his ears as he didn't like the sound gunfire makes.

"Oh honey," I state taking my gaze to him, touching his forearm while shaking my head. "No," the firing of bullets echoed out in my ears as they were really going to town on us, not wasting bullets to spare. And I couldn't reach them to freeze, as they're too many.

"No, I'm pretty sure they're here for us!" Luther rose his voice over the firing, as bullets flew pass our side and hit the chairs, making me push myself back into the table but I couldn't go further back. I see Diego take his chance and stand quickly, throwing one of his knifes to the masked men.

Probably got one of them as suddenly, the lights went off, as we came into darkness for a moment as music began to blast out and lights around the whole place began to turn and and move to the rhythm of Saturday night as it played through the sound speakers. Luther began to pick up bowling balls off the racks as he began to throw them at the guys and hitting them. Diego also used his knives to hit a few guys, as I felt Klaus move from the side of me, as I turn to see him duck over to the other table, and grab Kenny's birthday cake. Before he yells and throws the cake as hard as he could, as I peered up to see it hit a man in the face as Klaus came duck running back over. I stood to my feet quick and flicked both of my hands out at the pool table, and suddenly, it exploded by the side of one of the masked men, sending the man flying to the ground as a large chunk of the pool table was gone. Bullets came my way making me duck quickly, as I couldn't get another clean shot.

"They're blocking the exit!" Klaus states as he peered up slightly over the table.

"So, what's the plan now, Luther?!" Diego yells over the oncoming bullets still. But Allison began to tap me on the shoulder, and pointed to the lanes, and what lays behind them.

"The lanes!" I yelled over the bullets, as everyone cocked their gazes to the lanes. "Let's go!" I yelled once again as we all took our chances and dashed to lanes, each one of us getting into a different one. I ran down the left lane to the side of Klaus, as bullets were being shot at us, but missing. We all ran down like man men as we gathered the speed, as once we were close enough slide through. I used my current speed, and slid on my bottom, sliding down the lane as my feet hit the pins knocking them down, as made my body straight as I slide straight through. Coming out onto the other side, feet landing on the ground. I stood as fast as I could to see Allison run pass me, as I ran with her, behind was Luther.

We all ran through the back door, and luckily we all made it and no one was shot this time - which was a bonus. Our next stop, the Icarus Theatre...

................

We made it to the Icarus Theatre, using the front entrance as we rushed up the stairs as fast as we could, hearing the music of violins echo throughout the building. We turn the corner of the stairs, as I held the railing to go up. Allison rushes pass me and in front of Luther, placing a hand onto his chest, and held out her notepad to Luther as he stops in his tracks. As I came to the side of him, to see the notepad. It said 'We need to go alone,' as Allison nodded her head to me, as we could reach Vanya as we are Sisters and we love her.

"Allison, I can't let you do that, all right? She's beyond reasoning," Luther explained as he didn't want us to get hurt once again.

"You hear the music?" Diego raised his voice as Luther tries to move, but Allison places her hand onto his chest once again, not letting him move. "It started," Diego went on.

"Do you honestly think she's gonna listen?" Luther asks Allison. "After everything that's happened?" Luther went on.

"She's our Sister Luther, she has to listen to us," I spoke taking a few steps over to Allison and turned around to face him. Both Allison and I give him a look, knowing we could get this done.

"Ok," he replied, as I give him a nod, as Allison grabs my hand into hers, as we turn and went off, up another set of stairs, heading to the main part of the Theatre.

We didn't waste anytime getting to the massive theatre hall and began walking down the aisle, as the orchestra was playing beautifully. We could see Vanya at the very front, a chair on her own and was playing amazingly. Allison and I both came to a stop, halfway down the aisle, as Vanya was playing her solo part, which was bliss to my ears. I watched, mesmerised as Vanya played her violin with ease. I see Vanya lift her gaze from the Violin and out to the audience, and her eyes locked onto Allison and I, as we smiled at her. She returned a with a small smile from her, happy to see us here.

The moment was short lived as I see Diego and Luther charge onto the stage from the sides, running to Vanya, but she stood quickly and slashes her violin stick out, sending a massive wave of power through the theatre, hitting Diego and Luther, sending them flying off the stage and into the audience. Everyone in the audience stood to their feet in fright and panic, as they began to dash through the aisles, up and out of the place. Vanya spins back around with her stick slashing the air, making another wave, but it forces the orchestra back on their seats and began to play. People began to push pass Allison and I, knocking into us as they were scared and screaming. The next thing I know, Vanya was at the front of the stage and slashes her stick to the right, aiming for Luther and Diego, but they duck at the wave. Allison and I pushed our way through the crowd, which had dimmed and within seconds they were all out. We made it to a larger section where aisles meet up. We both duck at the end ones, behind seats as we could see Luther and Diego pressed against seats on the other side.

"She's stronger than expected," Diego remarked as we could hear him.

"Yeah," Luther replied, but Allison finds a clutch bag on the seat and throws it to Luther, which hits him in the face, which left him stunned for a moment. He turns his head to us, as Allison gives him a stern look. "Yeah. We're fine, thanks for asking," he remarked as I shook my head at him.

"What were you thinking?" I questioned as their logic was stupid.

"Look, I almost lost you once, all right? I wasn't about to lose you again," Luther states to Allison as he did nearly lose her due to her throat being slashed.

"Alright, well, so much for the element of surprise. What else you got?" Diego asks, his eyes on Luther, but Allison began to bang on the hardback seats, bringing the attention of our Brothers to us. Allison began to mimic a violin, as I think I understood what she was getting at. "No shit, Allison. Tell us something we don't already know," Diego replied, as he wasn't getting what Allison was trying to say.

"She's talking about the violin, idiot," I state over to Diego, rolling my eyes at him. Luther and Allison peer around the end seats as I cocked my head up and peered over the seats to see Vanya still playing, and her skin glowing.

"It's her lightning rod. If we can take it from her, and stop her from playing, we might have a shot," Luther states just as firing came ringing out from behind making me cock my head to the back to see the masked guys once again, shooting at us. I ducked, as they were coming from everyone, down the different aisles, as I got lower to the ground as bullets passed.

"What the hell happened to Klaus? He's supposed to be on lookout!" Diego yells over the bullets firing.

"Yeah, you surprised?" Luther states, as I wasn't frankly.

"What's with all the lollygagging?" Five announces out of no where, as I peered up slightly to see him coming down the aisle.

"Get down!" I shout to him as more masked men began to fire at him and us. They didn't let up but I had to move, I needed too. I flicked both of my hands out to the room, but nothing seemed to happen, as my heart was beating so fast, but I tried again. Nothing froze. I flicked my hands one last time, and the sound of firing stopped, but the sound of Vanya's violin kept on going. I took my chance and peered up to see the masked men moving in slow motion, and they bullets they were firing also in slow motion. I took my chance and bolted over the row of seats, into the next row. I landed flat on my stomach, as the bullets rang out, as the freeze didn't last very long. I was in the row between Diego and Allison.

"Five, what the... I thought you bailed on us!" Luther yells over the gunfire as Five was crouched behind another row to the left of Diego.

"Ah, I had an errand to run," he states to us, as the firing didn't lift up as they were putting their efforts into killing us. "This is not good," Five spoke as he must know who these masked men are.

"You know these guys?" I hear Diego ask Five.

"Yeah, I do," he replied back to the question, but that wasn't enough info.

"And?" I went on peering from the corner of my row to Five.

"Well... We're screwed," he states noticing three masked men coming down the main aisle we were stationed at. I'm gonna die here, my gaze came back to face the front to see two masked men enter from a side door, but Diego quickly used his knives to kill them both.

"Guys! Guys! It's Cha-Cha, she-"

"Klaus! Get down!" Luther cuts him off before he could finish as he crouches down at his current position. I came to lay on my back, my elbows propped up as I see Klaus further down in another section of the theatre. His hands began to glow a blue, as it came through his fingers as my eyes widened in shock. In seconds, he stood up straight and his arms extended as a blue figure emerged from thin air, and I recognised who it was...

"Ben," I breathed out in pure shock, as he lifts his shirt up and four long tentacles came from his stomach, and began to swat the masked men, ripping them apart or using his power to stop the fire on us, to him.  My mouth hanged agape as I couldn't believe it, Klaus conjured our brother, and he was actually here. Next thing I know, I see Diego stand to his feet, and rush towards the stage, as I could see Cha-Cha there, but he uses the speed he gather and ruby tackles her in the gut, and forces her back, to the back stage. He needed to finish this fight on his own, and I had full faith in him...
