6.0 You're It For Me

The five fairies made their way into the east wing of Alfea where the party of the year was being held. As they walked into the crowded room of sweaty teenagers grinding all over each other, Bloom crinkled her nose only smelling alcohol, weed, and sex. The redhead looked around. "This is what exactly?" She asked her friends.

"This is the east wing of Alfea." Terra explained. "It used to be used for war preparations, but since there hasn't been a conflict for a while, no one comes down here." A smile appeared across Terra's face. "Except for tonight."

Aisha noticed Bloom's terrified face. "You need a beer." She draped her arm over her roommate's shoulders.

Bloom nodded. "I need a beer." She repeated. The two rushed into another room.

As the three fairies walked further into the crowd, Musa felt Terra's anxiety grow, gripping her box of brownies tightly . "Looking for anyone in specific?" Lily questioned her cousin, seeing her glancing around the party.

"Uh- No. No." Terra anxiously shook her head. "Just looking for somewhere to put these down." She placed a pink Tupperware container down on the bar.

Musa smiled before grabbing the container and opening it, revealing a stack of brownies. She took one from inside the box and smelled it. Her eyes widened as the stench hit her. "Terra, are these-"

Terra nodded, a smile appearing once again. "Yeah! I can be a cool nerd." She did a little dance to the music.

Sam, Terra's brother, approached the trio. "Look who showed their face. With Mum's Tupperware, no less." The boy joked, earning a soft giggle from Musa.

Lily clocked this, nudging Musa slightly. "What do you want, Sam?" Lily questioned, taking a brownie out of the case.

"I'm just getting a drink. Relax." The boy returned before his gaze moved to Musa. "It's Musa, right?" He asked her, pretending that he didn't already know who she was.

The girl nodded, biting her lip softly. "That's me, yeah." As Lily watched the two flirt, she brought the brownie up to her mouth. Her nose crinkled at the scent of the weed, but she took a bit anyways.

Sam held out his hand. "Hi, I'm Sam." Musa awkward took his hand, shaking it. He looked down towards the Tupperware. "What reeks?" He raised an eyebrow at his sister.

Terra raised her hands in defense. "They're for the party, not for me."

"I didn't think you'd make it." Dane, a first year specialist, spoke as he joined the small circle.

The smile on Terra's face grew even wider, and Lily could tell that this was the boy Terra had a crush on. "No. Uh- Well, I just decided to come last minute."

Sam nodded, raising the box of brownies. "Yeah, so last minute that she had a few hours to make weed brownies." Lily lightly smacked his arm, causing him to put down the box.

Lily began to push Sam away. "Bye, Sam. We'll see you later. Go get drunk or something." Sam laughed, understanding why she was kicking him away. "Anyways, Dane, do you want a brownie?" Dane nodded, his eyes moving down to the Tupperware.

"Maybe just take a half or a quarter or-" Terra spoke quickly as Dance grabbed a whole brownie piece and took a bite of it. "Or not... Well, whatever."

"I'm going to take a few to Riven and Sky, see if they want some." He grabbed a handful of the brownies. "Meet you later. Cool?"

Terra's eyes widened. "Yeah, cool, cool, cool! Coo-co-coo-coo-cool." As Terra said that in a singsong voice, Dane left the trio. Terra let out a sigh as a cackle left Lily's lips at her cousins horrible attempt at flirting.

Lily glanced around the party before her eyes met Riven's. Her breath halted as she saw him start to walk in her direction. "I'm going to get a drink." She rushed off towards another bar area.

"You do know you can get drinks here, right?" Terra called after her cousin before Riven appeared in front of her and Musa. "Ah, I understand now."

Riven frowned, not seeing his ex-girlfriend. "Where'd she go?" He looked around the party, trying to find Lily again.

Musa leaned towards the boy. "I think she's avoiding you." The mind fairy sent the boy a wink before taking a sip of her beer.

*

Lily stood in the back corner of the party, drinking her second cup of beer. She had successfully avoided Riven the entirety of the night. At this point, the weed brownie was starting to hit her. She felt a presence beside her. "Riven's a little peeved that you keep running away from him." The girl looked up to see Sky.

She let out a sigh, turning towards him. "I'm horny when I'm drunk. And horny plus Riven is not a good combination." Sky chuckled, nodding his head in agreement.

"He misses you a lot, and he's never going to give up on you."

The girl furrowed her eyebrows, looking down at her feet. "That's not what it looked like today when he was sharing an apple with Beatrix." Lily crinkled her nose, bringing the cup of beer back to her lips to take a sip.

Sky ran his fingers through his blonde hair as he shook his head. "He doesn't care about her, really. He's just trying to make you jealous, you know that, Lil." Lily shook her head, not wanting to believe him. "Or, it's a sad and desperate attempt to get over you." Sky turned back to the party. "He needs you."

"That doesn't sound good. He shouldn't be depending on me that much." Lily leaned her head against the wall behind her.

The boy nodded. "He has a lot of problems, but that is why you're so good for him. You like taking care of things, and he loves you for that." Lily looked up at him and cocked her head. The boy was not making any sense. "Also, if I have to hear him complain about you leaving him one more time, I think I'm going to-" As Sky spoke, he turned back to Lily, and in the process, his drink spilled all over her dress. "Holy fuck, Lil. I'm so sorry."

Lily chuckled, looking down at her beer stained dress. "It's alright. It'll wash out." She let out a sigh, squeezing the bottom of the dress, beer running out.

"Do you want to shower at my dorm? It's closer than yours, and you can borrow clothes if you want." Sky offered, putting his now empty beer on the table in front of them. The girl smiled, nodding her head. Lily didn't notice this, but as Sky led her out of the party, he made eye contact with Riven and gave him a thumbs up. The two left the party and made their way across the school, towards Sky and Riven's shared room. He opened the door for her. "You know where the bathroom is?" He asked the girl as he sat down on his bed.

"Yeah." Lily nodded. She moved towards the door, but turned back around to speak to him. "I get what you're saying about Riven, but I just can't do that right now."

Sky looked down at the hands and nodded. "You never really gave him a reason, though."

"Maybe you should ask your girlfriend. She's the one who convinced me to do it in the first place." Sky frowned. "And she was right."

*

When Lily shut down the water to Sky's shower, she stepped out and wrapped a towel around her body. She looked around, seeing no clothes left out for her. Sky said that he was going to go back to the party, so she exited the bathroom and saw Riven sitting on his bed, staring down at his phone. Lily froze, clutching the towel to her body. "What are you doing here?"

What the hell did those boys do.

Riven looked up at the girl and cocked an eyebrow. "This is my dorm." He stood up. "The real question is what are you doing here?" Hi eyes scanned over Lily's body, and he took in a deep breath, trying not to show how turned on he was by knowing she was naked under that towel.

"Uh- Sky spilled his drink on me, and said I could shower here." Riven nodded. "He also said he would leave me out clothes..." She glanced at Sky's bed and saw no clothes. "But it seems like he didn't."

The boy chuckled, turning towards his closet. "That sounds like him. He's the nicest guy, but he's a little forgetful." He grabbed a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. He turned back towards Lily, handing her the clothes.

Lily sent him an awkward smile. "Thanks." Riven sent her nod. The two stood staring at each other for a minute before Lily let out a sigh. "Do you think you could turn around?" She knew he had seen this before, but things were different now.

"Oh, yeah." Riven chuckled, turning away from Lily. "I didn't see you much tonight." He spoke, staring at the door that was now in front of him. "It kind of seemed like you were avoiding me."

The girl shook her head, throwing the shirt over her upper-body. "No, I wasn't avoiding you. I just wasn't actively looking for you."

"You were actively running away from me."

Lily pulled the shorts over her legs and frowned. "It's not that, Riv. I just didn't think it was a good idea for us to see each other at a party, considering what happened last time." She stood straight up. "You can turn around." She watched as Riven slowly turned to look at her, and his expression softened. "What?" She giggled.

Riven looked down at he played with his fingers. "I just forgot how much I loved seeing you in my clothes." Lily's instantly let out a nervous chuckle as Riven approached her. She stepped back instantly. The boy stepped forward again, but this time Lily didn't move. "I miss you, Lil." His fingers trailed down her arm until they intertwined with her own. "And, I know that you don't want to hear it, but I knew you miss me too."

"I don't..." Her eyes drifted to the ground. "...miss you."

Riven brought his open hand to her chin, lifting it, signaling for her to look back up at him.

Her eyes found his again. "Say that again." He spoke softly, his fingers moving from beneath her chin to her cheek, carressing it.

"Riven." The girl warned, her hand moving out of his grasp. She turned, darting towards the door.

Riven caught her wrist, stopping her in her tracks. "Please, baby. Just look at me." His hands landed on her waist, twisting her around to face him. "There's my pretty girl." Lily smiled softly, not being able to resist.

As he stared down at her, he took in every single detail he had missed over the past months they were apart. The way her curls framed her face, her deep brown eyes that melted his soul, and her beautiful, soft, and plump lips. "Fuck, the things you do to me, love." He pulled her closer to him, his thumbs lying in the waistband of his shorts she was wearing.

"I can't bare being away from you any longer." He continued, watching her eyes drift to his lips. "I love you, and I know you love me too, baby."

She couldn't lie to him. Not anymore. It had taken everything in her to lie to him up until now, but he was right. She did love him. She had always loved him.

And that was the problem. That was why she had been pushing him away, and she was finally realizing that. She couldn't grow old like her mother, still broken hearted over a boy who left her sixteen years prior. But, she couldn't just push everyone who would get close to her away. She wanted to love and be loved.

"I love you, too." She spoke in a whisper, feeling a tear run down her cheek. "I'm sorry that it took me so long to be able to say it, but I do love you." A genuine smile flashed across Riven's face as he leaned in and connected their lips. Riven's hands moved to cup her cheeks as she pulled his body closer to her own. The girl quickly pulled away and looked up at him. "What about Beatrix?"

Riven shook his head, his hands trailing down to Lily's waist. "I never really cared about her. But you... You're it for me."

*

Riven let out a chuckle as his fingers trailed down Lily's bare back. The girl smiled as she pressed her lips lightly against his chest. "I missed you so much." She mumbled against his body, causing him to look down at her.

"I missed you too, darling. But you already know that." The boy began to softly laugh, lifting her by the waist and pulling her on top of him. Lily was now straddling him. "Sky and I kind of planned this." A smirk appeared on Riven's lips as he drew circles in Lily's waist with his thumbs.

"You planned it?" Lily giggled, her palms landing on his chest..

"Yeah, him spilling his drink on you." Riven nodded. "He came up with the whole thing. He just wanted us to talk again." Lily smiled, leaning forward to press a soft kiss against Riven's lips.

Lily's phone buzzed, causing her to jump off the boys lap. It was a text from Terra with a link to Beatrix's instagram story. As soon as she hit the link, a video began to play of Beatrix, Riven, and Dane earlier that night in the east wing.

"Here we have Wasted and Wasteder!" Beatrix yelled from behind the camera.

Riven sat up, leaning over her shoulder. "Don't watch that. It's stupid." He spoke, trying to turn off her phone. The girl shook her head, continuing to watch it.

A shirtless Dane laughed as he playfully pushed Riven against a table. Riven had a blunt in his hand, and put it into his mouth. He blew it out as Dane placed his hand on his back. "Hey, Riv?"

"Yes?"

"Shotgun me."

"What about your girlfriend?" Riven returned sarcastically.

Lily immediately knew he meant Terra. She sent the boy a glare before turning back to the phone.

Dane furrowed his eyebrows. "Who?"

"You know, weird ass fat girl. Loves plants, brownies."

Lily's expression darkened as she heard Riven's words. Riven pressed a kiss against Lily's shoulder, trying to distract her. His hands landed on her waist, and she shoved his hands away.

Dane let out a laugh. "She... She can go and fuck a flower." He stuttered, causing the other two to burst into laughter.

Beatrix appeared in the frame, her arms over her chest. "And what about her cousin, huh? The lovely Lily?"

Riven shook his head, moving towards the redheaded airy fairy. His hands moved to her butt, pulling her body to his. "She doesn't mean anything to me, Bea. You're it for me."

Lily turned off her phone, having seen enough. She quickly got off the bed, feeling tears run down her cheeks. "This is exactly why I didn't want to be with you." She whimpered, collecting her clothes. She began to dress. "I opened up to your and you just fucking broke my heart." Riven moved off the bed, throwing a shirt over his body. "Stella was right."

"Lily, I didn't-"

"You didn't mean it?" The girl stopped, looking straight into Riven's eyes. "So, it was just a line or something?"

The boy grabbed onto Lily's hand. "No, I didn't mean it when I said it to her, but I did when I said it to you."

"You do realize that doesn't make any fucking sense, right?"

Riven nodded. He honestly didn't know what he could say to fix this. He wished he had never said any of that to Beatrix, but he honestly didn't think that Sky's plan would work. Lily let out a scoff at Riven's silence. She pushed past him, exiting the dorm.
