"So, mother was killed.. And then I disappeared.."

"Unfortunately, that's the truth of the matter. I'm truly sorry Tayden.."

Jamie apologized to the boy, seeing how sad he was about the loss of his mother.

"It's fine... I'm alright.."

The boy reassured the group.

But most of them saw when one of Tayden's eyes started twitching, and saw when he covered that same eye.

"Tay.. Your eye-"

"I said I'm fine!!"

The boy suddenly ran off, entering the elevator to escape from the group.

"What was that about??"

Taeyong asked, worried for the younger.

"That happens to him sometimes. Tayden has two split personalities. Finding out that his mother is gone must be what made his Li side come out again"

"Li side?"

Renjun questioned the boy.

"The normal side we see from him goes by Tayden, but the side that we saw just now goes by Li. Tayden is the half that's usually shy and kind like normal, but Li has a lot of anger issues and doesn't get along that well with others. So that's why he just stormed out of here. Tayden was probably trying to keep himself under control, but he might need my help again"

Xinrei got up and left the group, with Nitro and Xinya following behind him.

Once they entered the elevator, they had to choose what floor to go to.

"Where do you think he went Rei?"

"Well, we know that Li is pretty destructive. He might've gone to the training room"

"That's right... He won't be able to do much damage in there"

Xinya quickly pressed one of the buttons that quickly took them to the floor that the training room was on.

Once they reached the room, Nitro stayed outside with Xinya while Xinrei went in alone.

Upon entering the room, he saw Tayden trying to keep his emotions in check, having already trashed the room a bit.

When he turned around, Xinrei saw how one of his friend's eyes was different than the other, visibly showing that both sides of him were fighting for control.

"Xinrei.."

"Tayden, let me help you man. Being alone right now isn't going to help you"

Xinrei tried reasoning with Tayden, slowly approaching him.

"Rei.. Don't get too close.."

"Get...lost"

Both sides of Tayden continued to fight for control, but both seemed to want to keep Xinrei at a far enough distance from them.

"We've been through this before. I was the only one that could help you before, so now I'm gonna do it again. Don't push me away"

"Rei.."

"It'll only hurt more if you try to distance yourself"

"I.."

"I SAID GET LOST!!"

Li yelled after finally gaining control, both of Tayden's eyes changing to Li's own.

Once he finally gained full control, he attacked Xinrei, using Epitaph without hesitation.

"Great.. So we're doing this again? Fine then"

Li had completely missed Xinrei, seeing that he appeared behind him after moving through another dimension to dodge.

"If that's the way it's gonna be, then I'll just spar with you again to help you calm down"

Xinrei insisted, summoning the favorite Keyblade out of his two.

"Then I'll just go all out this time!"

Li managed to make them summon his third Keyblade, that turned out to be two keys that were combined together.

He easily pulled them apart, now dual wielding two keys.

"Finally, some more excitement. You two never cease to surprise me"

Xinrei smiled, using his Binging Ball power for the first time in a while.

Li was able to dodge most of the balls, and used his keys to knock the rest back to Xinrei. But he used his Permeation ability, causing the balls to pass through him and hit the wall. The two ended up clashing multiple times, but it was hard for Li to hit Xinrei while he still had his Permeation activated. The more Xinrei fought with the boy, the more Li got even angrier. Eventually, they ended up using a power that he would usually try to avoid using.

A powerful aura encased them, and they suddenly grew ears and a tail similar to a tiger. His nails grew longer and sharper, and new fangs were visible when he suddenly started growling at Xinrei.

'Dad told us a story before about gods and demigods. Some of them possess the ability that changes their appearance and increases their power. He said Taeyong-hyung did something like this once, and that he changed into a snake god of war, and he possessed snake-like features. This must be the same thing, except Tayden is a demigod of destruction and he possesses tiger-like features..'

Xinrei thought to himself, analyzing the situation before Li attacked him again.

But this time, he dematerialized his Keyblades and fought in the same was Cassidy would, like a wild animal on all fours.

"Li! I'm impressed that you brought out the tiger inside, but think about what you're doing! You might end up destroying the place!"

"I don't care!! Why should I care?! Why should either of us care?! Our life has been destroyed!! Our mother is gone, our father is a super villain and a killer, and we were alone as orphans until Doni found us and took us in! What if he never came along?! I only became strong enough to become Li when Tayden turned ten! He probably would've died before that, and I wouldn't have been able to do anything about it!! And now everyone's lives are at risk because of our father that we wanted to track down! And we can never get our mother back! How can you not expect me to be furious?!"

Li screamed, tears running down their face as they attacked Tayden.

"Li.. I may not know what's it's like to find out that one of your parents is gone while the other is a villain, but I do understand that general feeling of loss. I've experienced it so many times throughout my entire journey thus far. But its still in my power to help those in need. And right now, you and Tayden need me now more than ever"

"Why do you even care?! This has nothing to do with you or your family! We can't let you or anyone else on this team die at the hands of our father!! We don't... We can't lose anyone else... Don't you get that Xinrei...?"

Li suddenly stopped fighting him, falling to his knees.

Even though their demigod of destruction form was subsiding, when their hands touched the floor, it quickly crumbled under their feet.

Xinrei quickly grabbed them by their wrist, having his Air Walk power activated to stay afloat in the air with them.

"It may not be my family's business, but we also can't let you or anyone else get hurt. You and Tayden are a part of this team now, and it's our job as your friends to help and protect you. We won't let you or Tayden get killed because you wanted to stop him on your own. We'll fight with you, no matter how much either of you may push us away"

Xinrei insisted, floating safely to the Game Room's floor below.

By the time they had landed, one of their eyes was different from the other once again, both Tayden and Li being present.

"Listen Li. I know you might think that Tayden thinks of you as a threat because of how he tries to suppress you, but he's only trying to protect you and himself. He's scared of what will happen if you end up flying off the handle and hurt one of us, or end up getting yourself and Tay killed. He doesn't want any of that to happen, but he doesn't like suppressing you either since you're a part of him. I know that you hate being suppressed too, but if you try to stay calm even in situations like this, then maybe Tay would be more comfortable switching with you more often"

"...You really think so?"

"Of course I do Li. You two work great together and on your own. You'll both be happier and will be able to do more, if you can learn to work together under pressure. And we can help you both with that"

Xinrei reassured the older, his other eye slowly fading back to normal.

"Xinrei.. Thank you"

"Thank you so much Rei..."

Tayden hugged the younger, finally regaining full control.

"We're going to help you Tay. We're going to save your father too"

"Really??? You think that's possible...?"

"I'm sure there's a way. Dad saved my Great Uncle Xinyi, and even that seemed impossible after he nearly killed dad and his entire team. But once he unlocked his Absolute power, he was able to defeat him and save him. Dad told me that all he wanted was to live peacefully with my Grandfather Zhenya like they once did, but he couldn't do that without dad's help. It may have cost him his life, but he saved everyone and reunited my grandfather and great uncle at the same time"

"I remember that story.. I read about it in an article once. Renjun-hyung told the story of that battle in an interview years ago. The fact that he was able to come back to life with Hoseok-hyung's help still amazes me. But... Thinking back on that story does give me hope of saving father.. Where do we even start though??"

"We'd have to ask dad or one of the others about that. They're the best and most experienced when it comes to this stuff. It may be a lot harder, but we will save him. All he wants is to be with you again, just like you want to be with him. I'm sure helping him realize that you're still alive will snap him out of his dark mindset.."

Xinrei predicted, filling his friend with more hope.

"Hey Rei! Tayden!"

"Are you guys alright?!"

Nitro and Xinya asked the two, peaking from the open door of the room above them.

"We're fine! We'll meet you guys up there in a second!"

Xinrei informed his siblings, before they returned to the hallway.

"Come on Tay. Once we meet up with Xinya and Nitro, let's get you something to eat before we do anything else"

Xinrei smiled, leading his friend out of the room.

He couldn't see it, but Li made his presence known for a little bit, smiling along with Tayden.

"Right~"
