Jisung vs Jean

Jisung analyzed his surroundings and battle with Jean, relearning his powers as well as their similarities and differences as they fought.

Once he got the hang of it once more, he struck up a conversation with him.

"Jean, remember what I said earlier. Once this whole mess is over, I promised to take you to meet dad. But I can't do that if we continue to fight like this"

"And I can't lose to you Jisung. If we fail The Boss again, he's going to kill me first since I'm disabled. I refuse to let that happen"

"That won't happen. We're going to make sure of it by saving you and your friends"

"Then you'll just have to prove it"

Thinking about how close Jisung is to his father made him upset about never getting to have that kind of bond with his own father.

That alone set him off to the point where he released his Stand. Mounted on his shoulder, Ratt targeted Jisung and fired one of its barbed darts at him, capable of melting his flesh.

The dart was aimed at the right side of his face, but right before it hit him, Jisung used his power of Hydrokinesis to completely turn that side of his face into water. That in turn made the dart pass through him completely and hit a tree, completely melting it.

"Ratt's darts can't melt water Jean. As long as I can change any part of my body into water, they have no effect on me"

Jean tried to used his Dynamite power on him from above while he was talking, but Jisung used his Hydrokinesis again to manipulate the water in their area.

He made some of the water rise up and surround him as a barrier, protecting him from the sparks completely. Jean also tried using his Dark Water against him, but Jisung immediately changed his normal water into Pure Water, causing the two to clash and cancel each other's powers out.

'There's no point in fighting Jean. We can both read each other's minds. I refuse to fight you anymore'

Jisung telepathically spoke to Jean, only annoying him more.

"I.. I don't care!!"

Jean angrily yelled, kicking his wheelchair into overdrive.

He used his chair to attack Jisung instead of his powers, both with close range attacks and long range projectiles. Jisung was unable to tell which attack he would use next, as Jean's only current thoughts were him swearing that he'd kill him. The added speed and precision of Jean's attacks made it very difficult for Jisung to dodge or fight back, and eventually, Jean finally trapped him.

Two black snake-headed whips suddenly emerged from the back of Jean's wheelchair and completely wrapped themselves around Jisung, rendering him unable to move his arms or get loose. Once the whips had a tight grip on him, they swung him down to the ground while Jean landed safely. Before Jisung could get up completely, Jean pressed a button on his wheelchair that discharged one million volts of electricity through Jisung, electrocuting him.

The charge seemed to hurt Jisung so much that he wasn't even able to scream. The water around them became electrified as well, adding to the total voltage, but Jean used his Dark Water to protect himself by changing the surrounding water below him.

"This is where it ends Jisung. I win"

Even though Jean felt that he should be proud of himself with his victory, he instead felt exceptionally guilty for what he was doing.

'Why...am I feeling like this so suddenly? I have to do this..for The Boss.. And...for my friends..'

Jean tried to snap himself out of it, but it was just impossible for him to do so.

He eventually locked eyes with Jisung, seeing just how much he was suffering. Ultimately, he couldn't take it anymore.

"...Fuck this"

Unable to watch him suffer any longer, Jean inevitably gave up, releasing him from the voltage which caused Jisung to collapse on his side.

"..Jisung...?"

Jean slowly rolled over to latter, but Jisung didn't respond to him at all.

"...S-Shit! Jisung!"

Jean became so worried that he forgot that he couldn't use his legs and got out of his wheelchair, immediately falling to the ground.

Regardless of the pain he was in, he still crawled the rest of the way over to Jisung.

"Jisung..? Hey... Wake up..."

He gently poked and shook him to make him wake up, and eventually, Jisung finally opened his eyes.

"Oh thank goodness... You're still alive..."

"...So, you made up your mind?"

Jisung abruptly asked upon waking up.

"Huh..? What do you mean..?"

"I'm referring to how you just chose your own path..~"

He smiled, knowing that Jean had just saved him.

Jisung made him realize that he would've never helped him if he hadn't decided to make his own decision, instead of following The Boss' orders.

"...Never mind that. I just...couldn't kill you.."

Though he's aware of the compromising position he had just put himself in, he still couldn't help wanting to make sure that Jisung was ok.

Jisung eventually pulled himself together and helped Jean back into his chair, making sure he was comfortable and not in anymore pain.

"I'm..really sorry for electrocuting you, especially with that many volts..."

"Believe me Jean, I'm alright. To tell you the truth, I actually used my Magnetism power to cancel out most of the voltage, but some of it still got to me in the end"

Jean was surprised, but equally impressed by his quick thinking in that type of situation.

"I was just really scared.. The Boss attacked me first when he checked on us. He broke my legs with his Stand and then just threw me against the wall.. I was just scared of feeling any more of his wrath.."

Jean confessed.

"...That's why we're here Jean. We promised that we would save you and your friends. I'm just sorry that we couldn't be there to save all of you from The Boss.. But I promise you, we're going help you get your legs back, one way or another"

"You... You really think that's possible..?"

A new portal appeared for them as soon as he asked that, practically showing up as a sign for Jean.

"Anything is possible, especially with teamwork and the proper tools. We're going to help you get back what was stolen from you. It's my duty as your friend to ensure that it happens. Your dream will become a reality"

Jisung smiled, nearly bringing tears to Jean's eyes as they approached the portal together.

Despite being afraid of what The Boss would do to him, Jean started his own new path and teamed up with Jisung, becoming his friend and believing that he could get his legs back.
