Donghyuck vs Damian

Knowing it would be futile to fight Damian with weapons since he could easily take them away, Donghyuck fought with his flames and Omni-magic.

He casted a very powerful spell that prevented Damian's ice from harming him, no matter where or how it touched him. Seeing that he wouldn't be able to kill Donghyuck so easily, he instead tried to overpower Donghyuck's flames with his ice, but it was to no avail.

"Damn it! This has never happened before!"

"That's what happens when you put all of your powers and capabilities in the open. I found a way to make your ice useless against me, at least when it comes to killing me quick and easy"

Damian immediately became enraged and covered one of his hands in his ice, punching Donghyuck right across the face.

"Ow... But that clearly doesn't mean your power is any weaker than before. That was a good shot"

Donghyuck smiled a bit, seeing that Damian was still exceptionally powerful even if his ice couldn't kill him.

Damian simply couldn't comprehend the fact that he couldn't kill Donghyuck with his ice, and that ultimately made him more furious.

"..Even if my ice can't kill you, I refuse to give up. I will beat you!"

"Damian.. Listen, I know that you're in pain. I want to help you"

"In pain..? Damn it..! You're saying that I'm weak aren't you?! If you didn't have that stupid magic, I could kill you in an instant you dumbass!!"

Damian angrily used Horus to freeze the ground under them, rendering Donghyuck unable to move.

He then used Horus to surround Donghyuck with shards of ice, and lauched them at him.

"Magician's Red!"

Donghyuck summoned his own Stand, planning to get rid of all the ice around him.

The Stand used its flames to manipulate lines of fire, melting all of the ice shards before they had a chance to reach him.

Donghyuck easily used his own flames in his feet to melt the ice on the ground around him, freeing himself of his binds.

"You misunderstood me Damian. I'm talking about you losing your best friend. It may seem like he's gone, but I'm telling you he's not"

Damian immediately forgot about fighting Donghyuck after hearing those words from him.

"What do you mean...he's not gone?"

"Please believe me Damian. He never left your side from that day. Ever since the last time we fought on Planet Oimia, I've been able to see his soul thanks to my power of Necromancy"

"But... That day, I saw his body completely shatter after I froze him.. There's...no way..."

Damian refused to believe him as it seemed completely impossible to him, but Donghyuck was willing to prove it.

"Damian, do you want to be with your friend again?"

"Of course! More than anything! But being with Kano again...is impossible..."

"I wouldn't lose hope so soon~"

Donghyuck held out his hand, and even though Damian couldn't see it, the little soul that had been following him floated into his hand.

After it did, Donghyuck used his Necromancy and some of his Omni-magic to reform it and grant it a new life. But instead of being a person like Donghyuck once thought it was, the soul was actually one that belonged to a wolf dog like Marshall's own.

"He may not look entirely the same as he did the last time you saw him, but it's still him. And I did you both another favor. I reformed him in a way so that he can help you in your battles if you want him too~. He has control over fire and ice now~"

Donghyuck cheerfully explained with a bright smile.

Damian and his old friend did nothing but stare at each other at first, both in disbelief to be back in each other's presence once again.

"..It...really is you! K-Kano~!!"

Damian immediately burst into tears once he realized that it really was his old friend and not some trick.

Kano wasted no time and ran up to Damian, making him fall to his knees and hug the excited dog. To Damian, Kano's face was the exact same as he remembered it, even if it had been years since he'd seen him.

He was unable to stop apologizing for what he had done to him, even if it was entirely an accident. He affectionately pet the dog, but then realized that he had forgotten about the person who brought Kano back in the first place.

"Donghyuck... T-Thank you so much..! I-I'm really sorry for everything I've done!"

Damian rushed over to the latter and hugged him tightly, both thanking and apologizing to him.

Kano also expressed his gratitude by licking Donghyuck's face and excitedly running around the two. As Donghyuck was comforting Damian, the three noticed when a portal opened up for them, one that would allow them to progress.

"I'll help you out of the darkness you've been in Damian, I promise. I'll do anything in my power to bring your happiness back"

Donghyuck promised, helping that latter up.

Still a bit flustered with the sudden change of his mood and personality, Damian quickly changed the subject.

"...The Boss designed that portal to take us to a resting zone once one of us won against you and your brothers. We can rest and heal up there until the others are done"

"I see.. Let's get going then~"

Donghyuck immediately led Damian and his companion into the portal, wanting very much to get out of their ash ridden environment.

In the Resting Zone

Upon reaching the other side of the portal, the three were met with Jeno and Jonah, as well as Mark and Marshall and his wolf dogs.

They were all relaxing together, having already tended to their injuries, and were immediately filled with joy upon seeing the three emerge from the portal. As they all conversed, despite being afraid of what The Boss would do to him, Damian decided to team up with Donghyuck, happy to become his friend.

"Hey.. Hang on a second.. I just felt something"

Jeno alerted the group.

"So did I..."

"Me too actually.."

Donghyuck and Mark agreed, having felt the same thing Jeno had.

Their three counterparts hadn't felt what they had, but they definitely felt their power escalate. They also agreed on the fact that they felt as if they remembered multiple things that were important to them and their mission.

Marshall was the first to understand what they were talking about, and could tell right off the bat what had happened.

"There's no way..! The Boss completely wiped them from existence! But.. They found a way back!"
