"Your uncles and I are leaving to have a meeting at the Heroes Department of Justice. We don't know how long we'll be gone, but we'll try to be back as soon as possible"

"Is everything ok daddy??"

"To be honest, we don't really know. The guys that we're after are very dangerous. And to make things worse, the two suspects we know about look a lot like your uncles Mark and Donghyuck. If there are exactly five more of them and they look like us, things will get really bad for our family and our world"

"So this meeting is about the guys that have been causing all of these recent attacks?"

"Exactly. We have to get to the bottom of this, and find a way to stop them as soon as possible. But if you guys need anything, don't hesitate to call any of us. We'll answer no matter what, okay?"

"Okay~~"

"Sure thing"

"We'll be back as soon as we can. But enjoy yourselves while we're gone. I love you two~"

"I love you too daddy~~"

"Me too"

Renjun hugged me and Xinya before leaving through the teleporter in his lab.

"I'm gonna go pick flowers~"

"Got you. Be careful in the yard Xin"

"Sure thing~"

Xinya excitedly skipped out of the room.

Renjun has a Phantom Barrier set up that covers the whole perimeter of our property, so I'm sure that she'll be fine outside.

For now though, I can check on everyone else before settling down.

"Yo Sungmin. You in here?"

"That I am~. I'm over here~"

I heard her voice coming from around the left corner of our, or her, library.

I walked around the corner and found her on the floor with multiple books. The only book she had open was the dictionary that uncle Jaemin bought for her.

"You really like reading that thing?"

"Of course. I don't care how young I am. It's still something that I enjoy doing"

"I see. So what about those other books??"

"I only have a couple more words to learn in my dictionary, so I'm gonna choose what I read next from these. Whatever I don't choose I'll pile up neatly and keep them right here"

"That's understandable, I guess. So what's your favorite word so far?"

"You really wanna know~?"

"Sure. It feels nice seeing you excitedly explain things like this"

I smiled a bit for her.

"Well if you really wanna know~~~. My favorite ones right now are anomaly and fiasco~~"

"I see... Deviation from the normal or common order, and a complete failure or collapse..."

"Exactly~~. I know that they particularly have negative meanings, but they just sound so cool and sophisticated to me. You know what I mean~?"

"I do in fact. Personally, one of my favorite words is mantra"

"Oh~. A sacred utterance or poetic hymn~"

"Exactly. There's just something about it that sounds so satisfying. The word itself sounds so sacred"

"I totally agree~. It just sounds so cool and enchanted when said aloud~"

Seeing her excited to talk about our favorite words really warms my heart.

"Well, I'll leave you to it. I'm going to go check on everyone else. But we should do this again sometime"

"You really mean it Xinrei~~?"

"Sure. I think it'll be fun to learn some new words from you"

I smiled.

"I'll look forward to it then~"

"Hey Kyu. You in there?"

"Y-Yeah! Come on in!"

I opened Minkyu's door and found him sitting on his bed with Junsung.

"You giving Jun guitar lessons again?"

"Y-Yeah~. He really likes watching me play. I think he'll really like them when he gets older"

"Tar~"

Junsung spoke, while pointing at the guitar Minkyu was holding.

"That's right Junsung~. This is my guitar~"

Junsung then crawled a little bit closer to to Minkyu, and started plucking the strings with a smile on his face.

"He may not have powers yet, but that doesn't stop him from being cute"

"I often think the same thing~. On the other hand, Xuefen got his first power last year, but Junsung still hasn't gotten his"

"I'm sure he's just a late bloomer. I think he'll get his first power within the next year or so"

"I hope so..."

I pat him on his head to reassure him, bringing a small smile to his face.

"But I'll leave you two to the guitar lessons. I'm gonna go check on the others"

"Ok~. Bye Xinrei~"

"Ray by by~~"

I smiled before walking out to my next destination.

Junsung might not be old enough to say my name correctly, but I still love it when he calls me Ray.

I found Suyun and Xuefen in the kitchen, playing together while sitting in a box.

It was a pretty big box, compared to previous times.

"And what are you two noisy rascals doing?"

I playfully peaked inside the box.

"Hi Xinrei~. We're just playing in this box~"

"Rei~~"

They both smiled from inside the box.

"You guys been having fun with Xuefen's power again?"

"We have~. Xuefen, show him your Necho Cat~"

"Okie~~"

Xuefen concentrated for a bit, and another cat popped out of the box.

Specifically, it's a Dream Eater cat.

Xuefen's power is called Dream Eater.

It gives him the ability to summon dream and nightmare creatures, even in reality, regardless if he's asleep or not.

The type of dream eater he summons depends on his mood and such. For example, if he's happy like he is now, he summons cute dreams like this. But if he's scared or upset, he summons nightmares.

The strength of the dream eaters he summons also depends on the strength and severity of the emotion he's feeling.

"You're getting really good at making these Xuefen"

"He really is~. But he doesn't really have anyone or anything to test them out on. He doesn't want to accidentally hurt anyone"

"Well, he can try testing them on me sometime"

"Weally~~?"

Xuefen's tail swayed with excitement.

"Sure. I'm really strong, so there's a very small chance of you hurting me"

"Tank you Rei~~!"

He hopped out of the box a little and hugged me.

"No problem kid. But that's gonna have to wait for another time. I'm gonna go check on everyone else"

"Wait Xinrei! Before you go, you wanna play Final Fantasy 7 with me when you're done~?"

Suyun asked.

"Sure thing. But isn't Final Fantasy a bit violent for you?"

"Nope~. And it's not as violent as Call of Duty"

"That's a fair point. Meet me in the game room then. I'll come by once I'm done"

"Okay~~"

I set Xuefen back in the box, and went to go check on Xinya.

"Xinya! You nearby sis?!"

"Here I am oppa~~!"

Xinya flew down from one of the nearby trees in the garden, and safely landed next to me.

"I wanna show you something~~"

She grabbed my hand and ran with me past the many different flowers, along with some birds and pretty insects.

We ran until we came across her pond where she was growing Lotus Water Lillies.

"Wow. They've all grown through~"

"Aren't they pretty~? I'm so happy with the way they came out~"

"They're very pretty~"

I used my Air Walking power to make my way over the pond, and I gently picked up one of the lillies.

I made my way back to Xinya and gave it to her.

"We can put this in the tank in our room. That way, you can look at the accomplishment that you made everyday~"

"That's such a sweet idea~. Oh! There's something else I want to show!"

She took my hand again, and led me towards another area.

We ran for a while, but we soon came across my Marigold patch.

"They've finally grown through too~~. All of the hard work you put into them really paid off~"

"They're so pretty... I never expected them to turn out this nice..."

"Being a demon doesn't mean you can't grow flowers. One of daddy's powers gives him control over plants and flowers after all~"

"Yeah... You're right"

Unexpectedly, she pulled out a singular marigold out of nowhere, and fixated it in my hair.

"Just a reminder of your accomplishment~. Wear it all day, and then we can put it in a vase later~"

"Got you~. So, you gonna hang here for a bit longer while I check on the others?"

"Mhm~. I'll catch up with you later~"

Xinya hugged me, and then flew off to another part of the garden.

I ran back inside and went straight to the training room, since I know that Jeongho will be in there.

In the Training Room

The moment I walked in, Jeongho's spear flew right passed me, impaling itself into the wall.

"Whoops. My bad Rei"

"It's fine"

But even though I expected that, I didn't expect to see Nitro in here training with him.

"So you can train here with Jeongho, but you couldn't be there with me and Xinya when everyone left?? Where were you??"

"It's not what it seems like hyung. We both woke up late since we were up late doing homework last night. But my dad left me a note informing me of what was going on. I told Nitro everything that was written in the note. It's not his fault"

"Hmph, whatever. So, how's the training going?"

"We actually just finished. Nitro won this time. And now that we're done, I'm going to meet up with Suyun"

"She wanted you to play Final Fantasy with her too?"

"Sure did. I'll see you in the game room then"

"Yeah. See you there"

Jeongho pat my shoulder before exiting the room.

Unfortunately, that left me with Nitro. I was about to walk out, but he stopped me.

"Wait Xinrei. I'm really sorry that I didn't meet up with you guys. Really I am..."

I turned back around to face him with my arms crossed.

"Jeongho already said that you overslept. Why are apologizing?"

"I don't know... I just wanted you to understand..."

Maybe I was a bit harsh on him.

But-.

"Oppa~~"

Suyun suddenly burst into the room, tugging on my arm.

"Jeongho-oppa and I are waiting for you~~"

"Got you. I'll be right there ok? Wait for me outside"

"Okay~~"

She smiled before scurrying back out of the door to wait for me, leaving me with Nitro again.

I walked over towards him, and he backed up a bit before I stopped in front of him.

"There's some really bad guys out there causing trouble. Some of them even look like our uncles. That could mean bad news if anything else goes wrong. Chances are that we might have to step in, to keep our family safe"

"Right... I'll keep an eye on the radar and the news, if it helps our cause"

I nodded and pat his shoulder.

I walked to the door, but stopped again before opening it.

"Just promise me one thing, brother"

"Y-Yeah?"

He stuttered, and I sighed.

I'm not one to ask for help, but...

"If anything turns out bad and I can't be there, protect him for me. Fight for him, and save him, no matter what"
