"This...is the city that you grew up in?"

Tristin looked around with Doni and Tayden, seeing just how differently he and Taeyong grew up.

"Sure is. I lived here with my parents and my sister as a family of gods of fortune. I was the youngest back then, so I would sit and watch as they granted wishes. But there was a war here between man and machine, and because fewer people came back to our shrine, they all disappeared one day from being forgotten. I was the only survivor back then because of Jaehyun. He survived the war and came back to our shrine. But because I had left, he stayed put there for years waiting for me to come back. If I hadn't come back here when I did that day, he definitely would've died some time after"

"So both of your families were taken away from you, just in different ways.."

Doni analyzed.

"Pretty much yeah. Except I was just a child, and I don't have any kids or a wife. Tristin was already an adult and he had both that were taken away by his own family of destroyer gods"

"But father survived because everyone that truly loved him didn't forget him, and you survived because Jaehyun-hyung didn't forget you"

Tayden pointed out, looking more on the bright side of things.

"Actually, I'm not the only one that survived because of Jaehyun. Follow me~"

"Wow! She really spruced up the place~. Hey Eunji! Are you around here~?"

Taeyong suddenly called out for a person that none of the three were familiar with.

"Oppa~. You finally made it~"

Suddenly, a girl jumped down from one of the trees near them, and landed in Taeyong's arms for a hug.

"Eunji, I would like to introduce you to our new friends~. This is Doni, Tayden, and Tristin~"

"Oh! I knew I recognized you three! You're the one's that Renjun and the others saved recently~. I'm Eunji, Taeyong's sister~. It's so nice to finally meet you~"

Eunji smiled at the three, shocking them greatly.

"You're really Taeyong's sister??!"

"So Jaehyun-hyung is the reason you survived too??!"

"I would just like to say that you're very pretty.."

Tristin and Tayden expressed their shock, while Doni simply complimented her.

"I really appreciate that Doni-oppa, thank you~"

Eunji shyly thanked Doni for his compliment before continuing her explanation.

"I am Taeyong's sister, however I used to be older than him before I died. Jaehyun-oppa is the one that brought me back to life because he was able to remember me by name. If he would've just remembered me by my existence alone, I still wouldn't have been brought back to life"

"Eunji may have come from a family of gods of fortune like me, but she's also a god of captivity like I'm also a god of war"

Taeyong added.

"Is there any reason why you and noona have different secondary statuses? It's the same for me and father, but I don't know why"

"That raises a question for me too. Jaehyun used to be just a hybrid right? How did he end up becoming a god of restraint?"

Doni and Tayden had their questions while Tristin just listened.

"Usually, gods like us get our secondary statuses based on the things we experience in the lives we live. I became a god of war after I went on a killing rampage after my family died"

"I became a god of captivity some time after I was resurrected. I was stranded on a pretty quiet planet until Chenle and Renjun found me. I guess feeling trapped on that planet awakened my status as a god of captivity"

"I see.. I became a god of love after meeting Ruby and having Tayden, and also after meeting all of my friends. They were the only ones that truly loved me back then and they actually made me feel like I could be free to express myself. They made me feel safe"

"And I became a god of healing because I wanted to help everyone around me back when I was growing up in Ocean Town. But now this makes me think about Jisung-hyung, Jean-hyung, and Junsung as well. They're offspring of a greek god, so it's gotta be different for them right?"

Tayden asked, trying to put the pieces together.

"When it comes to Jaehyun, he only became a god because of me. I'm a god of fortune, so since he was around me and my shrine, he gained from that. It's that way for everyone that's around me. Renjun and the others got a lot of their powers because they're always around me, and that also works for myself. The more anyone is around me or any sacred ground of ours, the more fortune they'll receive. Jaehyun's growth also stunted when he was young after everyone was killed. But when we saved him and took him in, he grew back to his appropriate size for his age. It was probably bound to happen, but my power over fortune probably had a hand in that too"

"And when it comes to Jisung, Jean, and Junsung being offspring of Poseidon, they don't have secondary god statuses. Instead, they have reincarnation statuses, but Junsung hasn't gotten his reincarnation status yet"

Eunji and Taeyong explained.

"I remember something like that with Jean. If I remember correctly, he's the reincarnation of Erebus, the god of darkness"

Tristin recalled upon the topic of reincarnation being brought up.

"That's exactly what we mean~. After Jisung fought one-on-one with him the first time, he realized that he was his opposite reincarnation. He's the reincarnation of Theia, the goddess of light, to oppose Jean's darkness since they're the same person from different dimensions"

"That makes a whole lot of sense actually. It's truly amazing to me how different the types of gods are, and how a normal being like Jaehyun can be blessed with the power of a god to become one as well"

Doni looked absolutely astonished by how things in their dimensions worked so well together.

"Oh Eunji! What ever happened to our old shrine?"

"Oh! Follow me and I'll show you~"

Lee Family Shrine

"I didn't want to disturb any of the land, so I just decided to build the temple in front of it. Now our shrine is somewhat of a backyard monument~"

"You really are a genius sis~. It still looks so tidy though. Have you been taking care of it?"

"Sure have~. I want to keep it as well kept as possible. It would go against the sacredness of our family's legacy to just let it get overrun by plants, so I make sure to keep them trimmed down and keep everything else tidy"

Eunji smiled, seeing a few birds fly past them.

"..I'll help you and Taeyong keep your shrine and temple tidy if you want Eunji"

Tristin suddenly offered.

"I'll help too~"

"So will I!"

Tayden and Doni also volunteered without a second thought.

"You'd really have no problem helping us..?"

"We don't want you guys to think you're obligated to help us..."

"It's no problem at all. It'll feel nice to help out in any way we can. It'll be like having an actual family even if they're gone in this dimension too"

"I agree with father"

"I'm always happy to be of service"

The three insisted.

Tristin felt a strong connection to their shrine, despite having never been there before. He also felt a bit of happiness and grief whenever he looked at Eunji, knowing just how much she resembled his late sister. However, he seemed to favor Eunji more because of how sweet she was compared to his sister, and wanted nothing more than to see her and Taeyong happy.

"Thank you so much guys~"

"Yeah, thanks a lot~"
