Poseidon's Castle

"So this is your dad's castle?"

Jean asked, staring at the structure and all of its magnificence from Jisung's submarine.

"Sure is. I remember the first time I came here to Atlantis years ago. Dad even gave me this crown, and at another point he gave me this trident"

Jisung explained, placing his crown on his head and summoning his trident.

"That's so cooool. And they both suit your style.."

"I think grandpa made a crown for me too, but since I was still a baby the last time I came here, it didn't fit. But I summoned my Malice Spear once I turned sixteen, and it technically counts as a trident"

Junsung explained, summoning his weapon to show what he meant.

"You guys are so amazing... You've got so many cool abilities and are respected royalty. I wish I could say the same for myself.."

Jean frowned, upset about being abandoned in his youth.

"Don't worry Jean. As far as we know, you're royalty too. We're the same person from different dimensions, which means that my dad is also your dad. And I'm sure that he wouldn't mind at all if you called him that"

"You really think so..?"

"Sure I do~. We can ask him now~"

Jisung pointed to the top steps of the castle, where Poseidon had been present since the moment they arrived.

"T-That's Poseidon?? He looks a lot more intimidating than I imagined"

"I used to think the same thing before I met him. Back then, I only heard his voice from time to time, and I would learn more about him in books. But once I met him in person, I realized that he's kind of a bonehead. But he's also very nice so don't worry~"

"..I see"

Jean was a bit shocked that Jisung called his own father a bonehead, but he was happy that he didn't have to worry.

"Let's go~. I'm really excited for you to meet him~"

The three of them exited the submarine, and upon making contact with Atlantis' waters, both Jisung and Junsung changed their legs into tails.

"Wait, you guys have tails too?! How do I do that?!"

Jean was amazed by how quickly they changed their anatomy.

"That's right.. It might be different for you since we had to modify your legs.."

"Dad might be able to help! He helped me get my tail and my trident after all~"

"Jisung~~! Junsung~~! I'm so glad to see you both, and I'm so proud of you~~. Oh! And who might you be young one~?"

Poseidon was eager to see his family, as well as to know who the only unfamiliar boy was.

"I-I'm Jean... Jean Parc.. I'm Jisung's double from another dimension.. I-It's a pleasure to meet you sir.."

Jean was still a bit shy, but he managed to get his introduction out of the way and shook is hand.

"The pleasure's all mine~. It's so nice to know that there's different versions of us from other dimensions~"

"Jean wasn't always on our side, but we ended up saving him, his friends, and their leader. But the problem is that even though we're the same person from different dimensions, they all had a bad past while we got the good ones"

Jisung explained.

"I see.. So I'm guessing by your shy disposition that your version of me wasn't around to help you. Is that right Jean?"

Poseidon asked the latter, and he silently nodded.

"He abandoned me after he created me.. I don't know if something happened to him or if he just didn't want me anymore, but he just wasn't there.. I lost the ability to use my legs some time after that from being attacked, but then Jisung and Junsung made me these new ones so I could move around without a wheelchair again"

Jean explained, starting to come out of his shell a bit.

"I see.."

"We were hoping that you would be able to help him out. He doesn't know how to get his tail, and he never got a trident or a crown from his dad"

Junsung explained to his grandfather.

"I can totally help with that~. All of you can follow me~"

Poseidon cheered, leading the way into their castle.

'I'm amazed that everything is completely underwater, and yet there's still a floor of water that I can step on.. It's almost as if this castle has its own gravity'

'I thought the same thing when I first came here with Renjun-hyung and Doyoung-hyung. I try not to dwell on it since it gives me a headache from thinking about it too long'

Jean and Jisung telepathically communicated upon entering the ethereal room.

"Ok~. So first is the crown and the trident. Just give me a second and I'll have them ready for you~"

Poseidon pat Jean on his head before getting started.

In a matter of seconds, he managed to completely craft a crown and a trident with his power over water, similar to how he created Jisung from the seas. He carefully placed the crown on his head and then handed him his trident.

"And don't think I forgot about you Junsung~. Here's your crown as well~"

Poseidon had Junsung's crown safely stored away until he was of age to wear it.

He eagerly took the crown and placed it on his head as well.

"Ooooh. I really like this~"

"I knew you would kiddo~. Now Jean, about your tail"

"Y-Yes sir?"

Jean timidly stood before Poseidon, tightly gripping his trident.

Jean didn't expect it, but Poseidon gently held his face in his hands and then kissed his forehead.

"H-Huh..??"

"And you should be set now~. You can now change your legs into your tail telepathically any time you want~. It'll become like second nature with time, but for now just say the phrase 'legs for a tail' in your mind~"

"O-Ok. I'll try.."

Jean thought that exact phrase, and immediately he was lifted off of the ground.

Just like Jisung's and Junsung's, his legs suddenly changed into a tail, except his was a mechanical tail just like his legs.

"It..actually worked..?"

Jean stared down with disbelief and awe at his altered anatomy.

"Sure did~. That's the same method I used on Jisung years ago~. And to change them back, just say the phrase 'a tail for legs' in your mind until it too becomes second nature~"

"...T-Thank you so much dad~!"

Before doing anything else, Jean clumsily swam over to Poseidon and gave him a hug, referring to him as his father.

"....Oh.. I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to-"

"No no no! You can call me dad if that's what makes you the most comfortable Jean. Your technically still my son so it's fine~"

"I told you he'd be fine with it Jean~"

"This technically means that we're family hyung. It's really nice to have you be a part of our family~"

Poseidon reassured the boy, and Jisung and Junsung joined the hug to comfort him.

Being included in their royal family was new to him after that life was taken from him, but he still felt very comfortable being a part of it. He couldn't wait to spend more time with them, and get to know Poseidon more.

"...Thank you guys... Thank you so much..~"
